That's a great idea o__o.

I swear, I'm behind on everything technological, even the idea that I could have made mp3s from tapes, CDs, etc lol.

I went without a cell phone for about two years because I didn't need it. I got an android about several months ago because it was necessary.

I love yard sales and thrift stores because of all the stuff you can find in there. Years ago, I was passing by a yard sale and bought a Russian language learning kit with tapes and a workbook. I lost it around 2007-08 though because of the moves I had to do between Cali and Nevada.

I want to work on getting audio files for my phone now :3.

Well..sort of..what happens is the people around me just listen to music in such situations, which makes me out of tune with them.

They listen to pop muzac, I learn Mandarin (basic level) and Romanian and what have you.

While interesting, it is also intimidating as it's just assumed "..you are like us"

No Ami. It's not appreciated and I'm incompatible with this forum and its underlying values and philosophy.

To me, one of my passions is taking that sort of Ruralism and making it work with a Urban sensibility.

Not all Brother, if anything you are more needed then ever.

Say what one will about YTA, you keep it real, there are very few counter arguments against what you have to say my friend.

My quibble is against the sort of "shake and bake" place amongst those who have to grind it out day in and day out with their hands.

Basically Ian, in that sense one comes from a different world, however people can really benefit from knowing at least a bit about that world.

High performance, know your information, know how to present it!

You have a huge heart my friend, zapodlo is zapodlo tho (Biz is Biz in Russian)

Disagreement is not disrespect

My mind is always on the run. However, sometimes, I can be unwilling to translate things from a mental hemisphere to this very real and now present.

I think that's what I'm working on. Both with filling up my empty time with something to do, like studying languages or drawing/painting(I'm an artist by trade, but I decided a year ago that I didn't want to force self to sell art) and making it a very tangible experience.

Why did you decide to learn Romanian?

Well, MetalAphro:

At college there was a young lady, Romanian, whom I chatted with and liked her.

Went to the internetz and learned basic Romanian but at the end of it the vid said"

"Tell her Te Yuoubesk"

Your new friend will understand

Tried to flex my new Romanian skills and said it..she got really quite, eyes got wide, she told me about her bfriend

Could not figure out why that happened.

Turns out "te ubesk"

Means..."..I love you and a I want you now!!"

So uhm, after such embarrassment..one decided it is better to know what the heck one is saying in Romanian!

LOL!!!

I would NEVER repeat anything I don't know what it is because a lot of people are mischievous and if they aren't getting one to say something about love, then it's usually cuss words they teach you first lol.

My Frenchman will only tell me Je t'aime in French and prefers I know what he is saying, rather than try to romance me with words that I don't know.

Interesting, b/c "aime" means "friend" in French, so he's saying "you are my friend"

J'e amour, amour

Means my love my love

As for Irina, she avoided me the rest of the semester!

To me in failure are the seeds of knowledge planted, if I'd never asked that, I'd never have known I was being mistaught

Alrighty.........
I just thought maybe you were unaware of the point I made;
and also that maybe some other folks perhaps did not realize LL has an entire forum (KTAA) for people to post about themselves.
That is all.
No offense was intended.

Ah, no, I am 100% sure Je t'aime is I love you in French lol. However, if I am thought of as his friend, it is not a loss. He is a good friend. I would like to be his best friend. French is a coy language. I don't understand why "my boyfriend" would be "mon petit ami". If he is "my little friend", is he only a little bit of a friend? A boyfriend is a little more than just a friend, no?

Tell me about the word "novio/a". I thought it meant boyfriend/girlfriend, but the word seems to have more meaning behind it. Unless it is a reflection on how lightly boyfriend/girlfriend is considered nowadays.

For example Sonn Souche

Has triple meanings

You can make it how you want to do it, the details you feel comfortable with saying.

I was the kid who spoke back to Adults. Especially who I viewed as "rather immature" ones.

I was the kid who cried when listening to Mariah Carey songs. I was obsessed with her!! I wanted to be a singer or psychiatrist when I grew up!

In later school years - kids didn't know whether to FEAR me or BULLY me. It was quite strange!! I've experienced being both "popular" and I've experienced the opposite.

I came up in a home where I had to be "responsible" at an early age. My Mom gave us tons of love...but she was fragile. She leaned on me for a whole lot...so I've always been STRONG overall.

My Father has (4) kids total. I was the only one he ever "wanted" from the get-go. But contrary to popular belief...until about (5) years ago, we weren't even that close! So I sometimes feel badly that he isn't closer to my other siblings. I think I'm finally getting through to him though!

I work in Dental Sales.
I'm licensed in Massage Therapy.
I'm a Christian.
I love music & photography.
I have yet to fall DEEPLY in love.

I recently ended my friendship with the person I called "my best friend" after 14 years. People change on you sometimes - I have no bitterness about it...I'm simply MOVING ON. Your actions must line up w/ your title or you get demoted!

Alright - I'm shutting up!
