Alcohol makes me sick and I turn into a gross violent monster.

Alcohol always gets me into trouble or drama

And throwing up is not fun

And I hate how alcohol has to take up space in your stomach or if you drink alcohol on an empty stomach you're screwed

Maybe that's why, lol.

It sucks too because there is seriously nothing I can do when I get sick but wait.

Take some fermented cod liver oil to boost your immune system!

Only one can of Coors Light is enough for me. Any more than that and I feel blah. Alcohol and my system do not get along and wine really hurts my stomach, so do Daquiris.

I know Libra and alcohol don't mix anyway. Most Libras I know don't like the feeling of being drunk. It's one sign that does not hold liquor well.

Mercurian Intellect: But there are many other ways to have fun

That is the most one-dimensional explanation everrrr...sure there are other ways to have fun, but they're all different kinds of fun. Going to an amusement park and riding the rides and stuff is one kind of fun separate from partying with your friends, ya see???? Getting drunk is enjoyable, it's not pointless.

It's okay that you don't like drugs and alcohol, but don't be pretentious about it.

^Personally, I don't believe in limiting yourself. Experience allows you deep and complex perspectives!

Again, shrooms helped me when I was 14, I'm not sure I'd be alive today had I not tried them. Though I don't mean that therefore everyone should try them (and certainly don't mean people should make a habit of them). I've heard of others who cured their depression with it and in one case the use of E somehow cured blindness (though I have no idea why, possibly it was just a coincidence but she's convinced it was the E that did it). I've heard of LSD and shrooms curing cancer though every single time I heard that the cancer always returned within a year so I'm not going to count that (though still better than chemo in many cases!).

Of course bad things happen. Bad things happen on meds, too. Psyche meds that can allow one person to live a normal life will make another one into a suicidal mass murderer or drown all her children in a bathtub. A coroner I knew said she avoided all medications because of all the damage they do to a body, she doesn't think it's worth it in most cases.

To me it's all about treating them with caution and respect.

I personally don't advocate living a life of drugs but I do think McKenna and Steve Kubby were/are beautiful souls with good minds and I certainly have more respect for their mind, intelligence, and the kind of person they are than I do for many people who stay off the drugs but live stupid, dysfunctional lives anyway.

Though interesting enough TV is a drug...people who watch too much of it experience enough changes that they will go into PHYSICAL withdrawal if they go cold turkey. I forget the details but the studies on it were explained in The Plug-In Drug.

I thought I'd add that the appeal of recreational cigarette smoking escapes me, and though many smokers say it relieves stress I can't help but notice that it would be just as accurate to say it relieves withdrawal (that is addiction).

That said I understand why people who advocate smoking pot and doing other drugs but try to cast alcohol & tobacco in a bad light do come off as kinda silly to other people. (By the same token I can't take an alcoholic seriously complaining about potheads and the like and I laughed once at footage of a deputy saying how good it felt to get addicts off the street while he had a cigarette in hand and a big black cup of coffee in front of him.)

A one-dimensional explanation was all that was needed.
I can party with my friends without drugs and alcohol.
I also wasn't being pretentious.
I stated my opinion, and that was that. Sorry if it seemed like I was pretentious
