I was not that afraid of having children, not deathly afraid. I figured it was part of God's plan. I was afraid of what doctor's might do to me, though. I really wanted to have the baby at home but didn't. That is the best way imo------------------

I was 11-1/2 pounds at birth.My mother was healthy and far from being overweight. She did not have diabetes. I had to be delivered via Caesarean Section at 42 week gestation, or both mother and child really risked death. IP: Logged |

This cannot be nearly as painful as the doctor cutting into me before the anesthesia began taking effect. "Ouch"--- @ Moonwitch
I never heard about the pain being nature's way to avoid predators. Interesting. --- I think if you are able to get yourself into an altered conscious state through meditation childbirth pain would be minimal. IP: Logged |

Just a theory.... but I suppose that's why most mammals find a quite and private place to give birth.
