This one:

Troubled Souls: Spirituality as a Mental Health Hazard http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum27/HTML/001853.html

I along with other members think it was locked too quickly and would like to continue the discussion peacefully *which we were already doing.

We were talking about that here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum27/HTML/001875.html

Which at this point has become silly and pointless. Please consider closing that one and reopening the original discussion.

Thank you.

Anyone who agrees please sign and comment below.

I think it should be reopened. The thread content was useful and I believe that it was a good contribution to SP. Minus when things turned for the worse between certain members of course.

*If it doesn't get reopened, you can probably give opening another thread a shot with the same content. I don't see how that could be a violation.

Just in case this thread gets locked as well I thought I'd share what I was going to share in the other thread but found it had just been locked:

Not sure why but my thought was it belonged there and might give a few people a chuckle.

Just curious, why are you so pressed about this? T isn't obligated to give an opinion. It isn't required to give a running commentary on an article (although I did with an article I posted today and it was really fun).

I get what your saying, believe me, but it isn't that big of a deal.

Edit: IDK some people like to post things to see the reaction or prefer to let the article tell the story.

Bella thanks. I made a mental note to say something similar on my walk then forgot and got carried away with jokes.

I don't know why he's so bent on that either all the sudden.

Now once again a nonsensical remark from him in this thread.

It is to me, for myself it is a bit like selling oneself into mental slavery and the idea that I would sit idly by as that happens is so heinous to me

Yes I shall speak about it, do not tell me one is unique then parrot others words while trumpeting ones uniqueness

That sort of Hippocracy chokes me

How do you know T doesn't have an opinion on it? It isn't mental slavery if one chooses not to share. I just think there a bigger fights to battle, that's all.

I mean if you think she's a waste of time and whatnot, don't spend your time not getting the answer you want.

Edit: I'm with you on the fact one shouldn't take anything at face value and should strive to make your own judgments and philosophies. But T doesn't owe you anything.

Who said they were unique or spoke about uniqueness anywhere?

Sharing articles with people along with providing a source is not plagerizing or parroting and whatever else you said.

Mental slavery is when set positions, unexamined, b/c ones positions w/o critical thought

T owes me nothing but to be consistent..or not, and I dislike making things personal as then the **** storm starts and the pig pile begins

You started hurling insults, which is why it was closed. If you stop insulting people, your threads would not be closed.

The whole idea of a petition to reopen one thread is completely absurd. All you did throughout it is insult those who didn't "get it" and then went after Padre for questioning it. I did allow a contentious string or two to remain open far beyond normal boundaries in order to allow people to get their feelings out, but when a Mod closes a thread, it remains closed. I don't question it. That same courtesy applies to me. Petition denied.
