I've made no secret of being involved w a Taurus girl

Check this out, she has saved saved saved $, her dad accidnetly found out how much money she has saved to "buy a house"

Think she had saved 300k and was hitting up good ol dad for 50k.

Once busted for having a load of cash in the bank her reaction was not shame, it was outrage over her dad knowing how much money she had in the bank

Never mind she was lying like a rug to him in the hopes he'd cough out 50k, he was in the wrong of course

This is one of the reasons why I demand, and will not tolerate, anything but truth

What did she want $50K for?

And how did she save up $300K?

And was she tapping into your bank account as well?

She did not "need" the 50k. however if she could sucker her dad into paying it..all the better..she happened to leave a bank statement in a pile of mags she gave to him, he opened it and voila!

Pumping me for money is a fools errand

I've seen this happen for yrs, thus my cynicism and the OP

Apologies PJ, she saved it by being massively frugal, having no bad habits save for working out 4 hrs or so a day

When she is rolling with that, I dearly love her, when that greed gene kicks in..do not want to know her nor anything about her it disgusts me that much

I was wondering what she told her dad she wanted $50K for. Unless he's got several millions socked away (and getting bigger all the time) then that wouldn't be something asked for lightly. Medical procedure or schooling is the first thing to come to mind (after all, loans for homes and businesses are usually easy for a woman to get, especially with her background).

And being frugal is one thing, but it strikes me as decades of a job that allowed her to save up for that much. (ETA: never mind, I obviously messed up in thinking how to calculate it, redo it in next post.)

I was just curious.

I can't shake the feeling I did something wrong in calculating that fast so I tried something else:

$20 per hour and saves 4 hours per day at 5 days a week = $400 per week x 52 weeks for the year = $20,800. It would take over 14 years to save up 300K, but it's doable. Still curious how much she was actually making.

Well, that's the Opposition thing.

You have to work on that, it is an Attraction/Repulsion link.

That was some Major Taurus, if I remember correctly, and Eclipse-born as well.

She was a exec yrs ago and never touched her 401k etc, the 50k was simply a heist.

I'm showing her how to container garden etc as she is waaay into organic foods

Still and all have feelings for her, we walk every Wed/Fri/Sat and tonight two young girls joined us on the walk..asking questions as children can only ask questions

Taurus suns love money and material possessions. I guess she was hoping her dad would be so proud of her for saving up, he would gift her the 50k?

Even if I had 50K as pocket change and I didn't know how much she had in the bank she'd better have a damn good reason why an executive needed it and why none of her insurance or bennies are applicable or couldn't get a loan (but I'd be willing to co-sign for that, unless I felt there was a good reason not to), or I'd suggest places she try pole dancing for it (not that I'd want her to, it's just a snarky answer, but I'd probably let her if she insisted).

I suppose I might be a sucker for it if she left all these hints (without overdoing it) about how she really wanted a Corvette (as an example) and then get that for her as a present, assuming I had money like that to burn, and I wouldn't even care about the $300K in savings in that case.

I guess she was a daddy's princess, though. Some fathers spoil their daughters rotten and such daughters, even well into adulthood, can take it hard when that stops, either out of a violated sense of entitlement and/or feeling like she's not as loved as she used to be. And in this case she finally pushed too hard (and sounds as if she may have gotten it if he hadn't known about her savings).

PJ, suspect her dad will come off of the 50k, he is 72 and loaded and has 1 daughter and 1 son.

She is not the corvette type, extremely earthy.

My issue w/her revolves around this sort of intense greed, to the point it is almost manical/ocd

I wish my parents could 'gift' me money. Lol. Nah why take your parents money when you can earn your own? I prefer building up my own very nest.

All true, what bothers me, in my very soul is those two young girls walked with us to find advice, she had no love for them at all

Yet here was these two innocents, and rather than offer the sort of earthy counsel they were looking for

I do expect a Jubilee of student loan debt

She just didn't like them or didn't care to interact with them?

That sucks Padre... People get so weird about money. I think maybe people who have never had to struggle don't know what it's really worth?

I understand your cynicism but if all else fails just move along and find someone less stingy and dishonest..

As shocking as all of that may sound it would not have surprised me one bit. Working hard, being honest, having integrity? All alien concepts to some modern women.

I know what you mean, and usually I'm very hesitant to speak of personal things

I bring it up b/c it is a good lesson and it gives insight into the human condition

Thank you for the encouragement firemoon

what "I" want is for my children ti be multilinguil, and to know God loves them, and to be able to bench press a building..a bit much to ask of course

Point being...ms T's greedy ass is not likely to be a part of it

Money in itself is energy, so when I hear this about the 300k, it makes me think of a golden Midas in the making or a present day Ebenezer Scrooge. Energy being stagnant and pooling in her legs like hemochromatosis.

She's going to wake up one day and wonder where her life has went. Bleh.

Exactly... boring! And what an empty life as MA said..

I know it's easier said than done to just move on when you've invested time and effort into someone and thought you know their character, but I just think it's best to keep the faith that there are better ppl out there... (if moving on is what you really want to do). Personally I'd rather struggle until I figure out what I really want to be doing than "sell out" to be some sort of Stepford wife who is "frugal" and likes working out for 4 hours a day (*puke*) and needs to con money from my parents just for the thrill of it or the validation, or whatever it is in her case lol
