Unless it's some little old lady driving, you have to be really careful about getting in the car with someone. I watch Discovery I.D. there are so many terrible crimes committed everyday against the unsuspecting. I have become a thousand times more paranoid myself just watching that channel. It always pays to be extremely cautious. Then again, with my natal chart, I am extremely cautious anyway. I see danger in it. If you see danger in your chart, take it as a warning and stay on the side of caution. WP, in this day and age I wouldn't accept rides from strangers unless you can be absolutely certain they can be trusted. IP: Logged |

Thats the lesson learned, and yea i have a "danger prone" chart i guess, lots of fire and neptune with 8th house influence. This was a warning thats for sure!! I feel way better, talking about it with my friends (def. not my parents) makes me let out problems in general and gives me that ability to move on so im better

I understand the feelings you are experiencing right now and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. The thing to focus on now is the life lesson. Some people just suck and it can be especially hard being a woman - especially a young woman.Things like that happened to me A LOT when I was younger. I just don't understand what goes through people's minds when they do things like that. It's so predatory and creepy (at best). IP: Logged |

quote: Originally posted by PixieJane: Kidnappings happen a lot, it had almost happened to me when I was 15 when a man tried to snatch me for a pimp in broad daylight (that was just one man, not counting a driver), and it happens quite a bit, you can see an example here (about 30 seconds): http://youtu.be/_MO_OtB3q-s?t=6m29s So I was feeling especially vulnerable as a carload of men menaced me. I waited for the walk signal to cross a street in broad daylight of San Diego when a car that had been idling at the corner illegally turned and I had to jump back to the sidewalk. The car went by filled with Mexicans who glared at me as a pack of wolves at a rabbit and talked in ways that felt vile to me (what little I understood of what they were saying was obscene). They went by so slowly then (in contrast to how fast they took that turn) that I was sure they were going to stop and get out. I glanced around fast but EVERYONE pointedly turned away. As it was I was illegally carrying a gun and I crossed my arms in such a way that one hand to get to it fast. I think that's the only reason I didn't panic and run (I wonder if they'd have chased me if I had?) and glared at them. They eventually passed and I hurried on. I was so furious at California then always going on "you don't need a gun, the police will take care of you, etc" and when I needed help NOT ONE of the many people out could be bothered to intervene or ask if I needed help. And if any secretly called the police on my behalf (which I doubt, that would be getting involved) then no cops showed up before I (as a pedestrian) was out of there.
I know what you mean. In spite of being a bleeding heart, we have guns (locked in high and uninteresting places, for our son's well being) in our house. Even in the small little mountain town outside of Seattle, we have had to get one out and be ready to use it, as the drug addled friends of our neighbors were trying to open our door at 10 pm, despite yelling through the door that we had a gun and were calling 911. I'm just so happy that my son was asleep in his room. Thanks for sharing, it's better that we learn these lessons without physical harm, bear the scars, and allow them to heal. IP: Logged |

Well said. And I think that the last thing anyone needs right now is a lecture, so thank you, MoonWitch. IP: Logged |

OMG pharmaprix?!?! Do you live in montreal by any chance? And the EXACT same thing happened to me!!! I was getting off work it was near midnight I was waiting for the bus but it never came since it was snowing and stormy like crazy so I got into his car. Mines was worse, I don't really feel like going into details, only my close friends know about this. It was during my 20th birthday and I was so mad that I had to work and the sh**y weather did not help my mood. The guy seemed really friendly & talkative...he was actually the last customer to leave the store. But seriously I learned my lesson that night...just because a person seems friendly, doesn't mean that you can trust him.IP: Logged |

We have to be careful...city streets are filled with sketchy people. And it happened again not once but twice later but this time I said no. Oddly enough it only happens after I get off work. And they all seem to recognize me, since they shop at the store I work at. I have a hard time recognizing customers since i see a load of them each day, so I usually will not remember their face. One guy was very persistent, he even came out of his car & talked with me and tried to convince me while I was waiting for the bus. The other incident was during broad daylight though and it was a group of young guys and they were less persistent. But still stay safe <3 Worse things can happen trust me IP: Logged |
