That is way beyond inappropriate, that is blatant character assassination. Does that sound like a good thing to do? First of all calm down, it was just a question. I asked because he is generally well-liked and your reaction was very visceral to his name. Now I remember what you are talking about, and no I don't agree and didn't agree at the time with what he said in that thread. No one is treating you with disrespect here, nor is this verbal abuse. You are always accusing people of 'trolling' or calling them 'haters' when they disagree with your opinion, which is why I asked in the first place. Disagreeing with your opinion has nothing to do with your mod status. This is a mod selection forum, so please stay on topic. IP: Logged |

Have you ever read what he has had to say? There for over a month he was on a kick that I was a potential serial killer and was bringing it up quiet a bit. That is way beyond inappropriate, that is blatant character assassination. Does that sound like a good thing to do? And if you really thought somebody was unstable would you constantly be trying to provoke them? That is the textbook definition of trolling. People like you and the rest of my haters think it is ok to treat me with disrespect 24/7 and I should just put up with it because i'm a mod. My post reflects what a Mod needs to do.
It has everything to do with a Mods duties and choices to be made in choosing one.

No I see everything perfectly clear, there was no need for that comment. AG responded to my question, and I responded to his concern over 7thG and explained why it was not disrespect and verbal abuse. The thread was on track and you went OT again. "And that was good, AG." I don't think some of your behavior has been mod worthy.
Calling someone a "mental midget" as one example.
You could stand to be more professional.
I understand standing up for yourself but if you are in any position of authority then you need to ALWAYS be the mature one at all times.
You have higher expectation and more weight on your shoulders to be a good example around here. You and the other mods should be setting the tone.
It is actually possible to stand up for yourself and not be unprofessional. I learned that working at Walmart back in the day.

As for the new mod..one will most likey be selected when a choice is made.

What people fail to understand is this forum is different then most forums. Randall really values free speech/free expression and tries to avoid being too authoritarian. On this forum we are allowed to speak our minds more then we would on most forums, which is a good thing! But it also comes with a downside because people are going to always try to "push it" as far as they can. On most forums people would be banned for stuff that gets by here. Some forum admins even give all their mods the authority to ban people! So do you want that here? Or would you rather have the free speech and tolerance we enjoy? One of the downsides of the way things run here is the mods are under attack more. People don't fear being banned so they insult and attack mods with impunity. So it's understandable (atleast imo) that you are going to see mods lose their temper and act "unprofessional" sometimes. So would you rather see me occasionally fire back at somebody who is attacking/trolling me ? Or would you rather see a forum where Mods are constantly banning people without warning? Personally I prefer the way things are now.IP: Logged |
