Just as an update.Thank you very much for all your prayers. On February 20th, Mitchell underwent a 16 hour double transplant surgery and received one kidney and a whole liver from a deceased donor. Mitchell has kept his "legacy" kidney that he received from his mom when the first transplant was conducted as a baby. Mitchell also had splenal and stomach procedures, and a follow up to the portal vein shunt into his inferior vena cava. His lab levels are quite good and he'll be kept in isolation through the end of summer. And then, it's back to college for him. Cheers. IP: Logged |
