This is human nature, sometimes at it's best… but more often at it's worst. Yet one must try no? In truth perhaps, all we can do is leave the world we are born into just alittle more beautiful and inspiring come our passing, for such has often been enough to grant man Immortality. I wonder now, would mans greatest enemy be an Immortal Idealist? ------------------ You can't handle my level of Tinfoil! ~ {;,;}

The "dark force" would be to believe and promote such ideas.
Yup! Mental illness causes neurological changes in the body, hence the need to often have medical intervention. No one asks to have a mental illness, and this is why it is so important to advocate for appropriate care and treatment for those with mental illness. quote: Originally posted by aquaguy91: I think one of the biggest problems in modern society is people just don't give a d*mn unless something directly concerns them or someone in their inner circle. We turn on the news and see a story about how someone did something and think "they're crazy" and that's as far as our thought process goes. We never ask "why was that person angry?" or "what caused them feel so hopeless that they thought that was a good idea?" What's funny is we all understand that if you kick,abuse, or neglect a dog it will be mean but we never make that connection with humans. I feel that people, like animals, are very much a product of their environment and how they are treated. I think treating others well and having compassion is the best way to make a positive change. Unfortunately we live in a world where most people are so disconnected that they don't even know their neighbors.
Yup- 100% agree! The sort of lifestyle people live today also contributes to this, sadly. People seem to be very disconnected from each other- seeing how much time kids spend on their electronic devices rather being outside is saddening. Part of this related to the mental illness discussed earlier is the way mental illness is stigmatized and portrayed in the media. It is easy for the media to paint a picture of some 'scary, creepy person' instead of telling the whole story. I agree on the rehabilitation point too- especially for the criminal system.
