How would you describe your spending habits? Are you guys meticulous about keeping track of everything you spend on or do you just go with the flow?

Me and my better half don't really keep track of our individual spending habits but we have agreed to stick to an allocated budget geared towards leisurely habits like Vacations, Eating Out, Shows, Events, Hobbies, etc. If we do want to make a huge transaction that goes well beyond our budget (lets say buying a car, or a very expensive dress, etc.) we consult each other on the matter before making the transaction.

We certainly aren't budget Nazis but at the same time, we do know that we have bigger plans for ourselves in the future and we will need the appropriate amount of funds to reach those goals.

A cottage in Switzerland isn't going to buy itself ya know .

I am very meticulous with spending my money. I will never buy anything if I can get something cheaper. The only time I like to spend money is when im shopping or playing at the mall with my friends, then I just have to spend. It makes me look bad If I don't. lol We went yesterday to a mall and I bought only items that were on sale and I didnt buy lunch I waited until I got to my friends house and just ate her food. lol.

My husband and I keep track of necessary expenses (mortgage, electricity, taxes...), investments, business n projects. Keep a close eye on the money flow.

I am very careful with my money. It's what I need first and after that the rest is for emergencies. I buy things I actually "want" rarely. This may sound strange, but I have everything I want material-wise and it's difficult for me to think of more things I want to buy with money. I have birthday money I haven't even spent. In some ways, I question if I'm financially responsible or just bored without a clue what I want.

I'm rather erratic. I suppose my attitude is if I have it, I spend it, if I don't, I don't.

Sometimes I can be really good at keeping to a budget and other times I just blow it. lol

Virgo sun/mercury for the budget-conscious part of me. I don't know what for the carefree side - maybe Venus in Leo (likes nice things).
