I love Ireland!I have a few Irish friends, and every single one of them is actively involved in social causes, volunteer work, and animal rights. It such a natural thing in their culture, the society is a perfect combination between tolerance and activism. No wonder this is the first country to allow gay marriage by popular vote. They're awesome Bella, those 40% run strong in you! IP: Logged |

You know what? I can respect that. We don't always have to agree on decisions, but as long as people are respectful about it, right on. IP: Logged |

What is funny to me is Ireland retained Presidential candidates having to be at least 35...and soundly...lolI'm unbashedly Christian, and think if one wishes to have a State recognized Union same sex or not, that is a matter for the State, if one wants a Traditional Marriage, ie, a Church wedding, that is a matter for the Church. Things become very murky when State and Church align, politicians want power via voters and pander to pole tested themes, the Church SHOULD be concerned with Spiritual matters. To join the State is to undermine that mission IP: Logged |

I'm very happy with this!!! Im' not gay, but I have very dear people around me that want to marry and the Brazilian laws don't support them. I really loved that a very traditional country (aka Christian country) legalized it. Unfortunately, here in Brazil I think that a hunt for the gay ones will start in a form of the Cruzades...
