MC conjuncts Niobe, Discovery, Hephaistos, Compassion, and Dali, within a 2 degree orb.Niobe has to do with excessive hubris, for which she received "divine retribution". Hephaistos, or "Hephaestus", was the god of technology, blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes. The only difference that set him apart from the rest of the gods was that he was "lame", which made him appear grotesque in the ancient Greek's eyes. I suppose he's like the "ugly duckling", and he becomes beautiful in other's eyes because of his craft, as a blacksmith. Among the things he forged were Hermes' winged helmet and sandals, Aphrodite's famed girdle, Eros' bow and arrow, etc. Dali was a Spanish Surrealist, who pursued the art of draftsmanship, most famous for "The Persistence of Memory", featuring the renowned melting clocks. Sometimes, his eccentric behavior gained more publicity than his artwork. By the way, when I had heard of the asteroid Dali, I knew it had to be feautred prominently in my chart. There were these fated events, such as me being chosen to write a report on Dali in the 7th grade in Spanish class, and my writing of an art history essay on "The Persistence of Memory" in the 10th grade, and I had been drawn to his art ever since I first heard about him. Discovery still has me under its spell, it makes me wonder. ------------------ “When you don’t get what you want, you suffer. That's interesting Carl, I have an asteroid stellium around these degrees too: 19 Scorpio - Hygieia, Amun, Phocaea, Arete, Rockefellia 18 Sco - Kaali, Giza, Galene 17 Sco -Delila 16 Sco - Merlin, Medusa, Ixion 15 Sco - Reiki, 14 Sco - Sphinx As for my MC, it conjuncts Psyche, though I'm not too sure what that means. Maybe I need psychotherapy! It also conjuncts Casanova by 1 degree.

Ingwelde 25 Aries 1' 1" -- a feminine German name, not much info Mocia 25 Aries 1'40" -- named after the discoverer's son, not much info Iclea 25 Aries 26'50" -- named after fictional character from a book a muse who governed astronomy & had a celestial look, "angelic idea which glides above heaviness of the Earth." Koronis 25 Aries 28'55" -- Coronis, various characters in Greek myth, one brings rain, another is raped, one was turned into a crow, last one was killed for having an affair, actually 2 of those stories are associated with crows for why crows are black and not white, In the telling of myths and legends, the crow frequently took the place of the raven. This is the case in most of the Northwest Pacific myths recorded above and in the story of Apollo and Coronis. The Irish war-goddess, Badb, often took on the shape of a crow. In classical mythology, this bird is an attribute of Cronus or Saturn and Athena, the goddess of wisdom, victory, and the arts. I have Saturn/Venus all over my chart, both are in aspect to the MC, variation on that theme perhaps? ---MC 25 Aries 44'3"--- Vaticana 26 Aries 4'27" -- named after Vatican Hill, vatican from Latin vates meaning 'seer, soothsayer' Indeed, the Vatican Hill was the home of the Vates long before pre-Christian Rome. Vaticanus, also known as Vagitanus, was an Etruscan god of prophecy, and his temple was built on the ancient site of Vaticanum (Vatican Hill). Nero slaughtered Roman Christians on Vatican Hill and St.Peter's Basilica was built on it, on top of a cemetery. Well this is more than creepy. I can safely say I never slaughtered anyone. Pia 26 Aries 14'23" -- (yay, finally one that Mark Andrew Holmes knows about!) "astrological meaning: piety; religiousness(or excessive religiousness, which is to say, religiosity); strong faith in something." I do agree, I have strong faith. Freia 26 Aries 17' 5" -- after Freyja Norse goddess of love, beauty, fertility, gold, war, and death, she has a field where she receives half of the slain in the afterlife. Brunsia 26 Aries 36'31" -- after a German astronomer, not much info Sorga 26 Aries 41'57" -- Indonesian for 'heavens' or 'heavenly.' Don't believe in heaven or hell for that matter, I see them as realities on earth. Maybe it can be translated to something to do with astrology?*edit* i found some more to add here. BTW Any ideas how to search for more asteroids? Or do we do it the old fashioned way? I may be counting asteroids too, instead of sheep IP: Logged |

I want to do well for a boss I respect. If I do not, my caring goes down a little. -Pretty responsible (at least I never drank the night before class and never missed very many in college) -I think it might make me a little..too dreamy. Maybe dream is the wrong word, too idealistic about practical matters? Does that makes sense? -I am attracted to practical women, though I hate to admit that. someone who can manage money well but not talk about it often -I think this makes me shy. But other placements have allowed me to overcome it. -Maybe issues related to career. I focus on it too much, wanna do well but find it hard. Have the passion, just need a guiding hand. what did you make of the Croatia/Juliana and MC link?
I have Saturn conjunct the MC as well... I am also hard-working, shy, have a hard-time getting any kind of real recognition in any work I do, confidence issues, great respect for practical people...
However I also have this square my Sun which is one degree conjunct my DC, and Pluto which is conjunct my AC...

Midheaven at 19 Virgo 41'10" in my chart... let's see what's conjunct:258 Tyche 19 Vir 46'42" - Tutelary diety (think patron/guardian), governed the prosperity, fortune and destiny of a city. Some believed that each person and city had their own Tyche, similar to a daimon. (not to be confused with demon). 99942 Apophis 20 Vir 7'8" - Named after Apophis, otherwise known as Apep, Egyptian diety of darkness and chaos, quite evil. Usually depicted as a snake, and later on a dragon. Legend says that every day, he attempts to swallow the sun. Mortal enemy of Amun/Ra, and ultimately became associated and more or less his traits attributed to Set. Wasn't so much worshipped as worshipped against. That's the only two I have that's within 1-2 degrees to midheaven, after much extensive searching. Apophis... Hell of a thing to have on my Midheaven. IP: Logged |

Nemesis (1)- Spirit of diving retributionThereus (2)- A butterfly. I have always had a fascination with butterflies. Asbolus (2)- A centaur also in the story with Pholus and Heracles that lead to the death of pholus, chiron, and nessus. (Did anyone read my "pisces and I don't mix thread"??? I feel like this goes with the snake trend I found) Nessus (3)- Wow,also in the story with Asbolus, Heracles, and Pholus...I'm getting worried..wonder what it all means!!!! All retrograde, so its energies are focused inward right?
