I would like to see if I can feel them. I did the same post in Astro 2.
Do you think a social group/community such as LL would SEE your MC or ASC?
I am thinking that we say see planets and asteroids conjunct the MC.

Aya
I CAN feel the Narcissus in you which prompted this thread.
Another dear friend had another astetoid conjunct the MC and I felt that.
I will leave that whole thing in private ,though
With you,Aya I feel the Narcissium comes from a striving to find and know who you are.
It comes from a place of struggle and insecurity.
I hear you asking the question"Who am I down deep?"
That really IS at the core of Narcissium.

The 2 people whom I know with Narc on the ASC seem to have a strong sense of self.

That is what prompted my whole leaning in this direction i.e which angles do what.

Here I am!

I already made a thread about Narcissus conjunct my MC, but there's also Juno (in 9th/Virgo) and Vesta (in 10th/Libra) - and probably a few minor ones too

Missed this before I posted

I definitely spend a whole lot of time finding out who I am - funny thing is that I always seem to learn more about others than I do about myself. But the human mind is complex and intricate, so I assume it wouldn't be simple anyway

I have merlin and groom conjunct the MC. Merlin is a figure I have always been fascinated with, ever since I went to Tintagel castle (rumored to be where King Arthur and his knights of the round table lived). Merlins' cave was supposed to be on the left hand side of the beach. The stones along the beach leading to the cave are all flat while the stones on the right hand side of the beach are all round. Legend has it, the power emanating from Merlin's feet flattened the stones while he walked to his cave. I took one of the stone's from the beach and kept it.

Hehe, I'm not sure about wild things flying about, but I do know that I am waaaay too curious for my own good.

Especially about men. And that curiousness usually leads me to close relationships with them.

I read from an ebook that Pandora is about "curiosity that initiates change". I believe it. A lot of the time I wonder, "Oh why, oh why did I do that" and get myself wrapped up in funny situations.

Women with strong Pandora aspects are not overtly popular amongst other women, so perhaps one can look towards house placement of Pandora as an area where feminine relations will be a struggle.

I definitely agree with this too.

From what I'm reading, it has something to do about family betrayal and/or "biting the hand that feeds you".

Here are some links I found about Ixion.

Ixion may include issues of trust and betrayal, where miss-deeds are forgiven, but which occur again, perhaps in vicious cycle, much like a woman who forgives an abusive husband only to be abused again the following day.

I would say I fit to this description of forgiveness of people who shouldn't be forgiven and repeating of the cycle (with me forgiving them again). This article also mentions allopathic medicine vs natural medicine.

quote:

In this light, the Lapith-Centaur relationship is suggested by some to embody themes of this inner struggle--between the tamed and civilized verses the wild and natural (Wikipedia; et, al.). Thus, Ixion may bring to surface issues and experiences reflecting this inner conflict--to do that which is considered civilized (dictated by man's laws) or that which is more natural to the wild and free (renegade). In either case the paradox may arise for the civilized patriarch, now quite at odds with the wilder natural world, to take responsibility for doing that which is natural (whether for good or bad) especially when matters of fatality are involved.

We can certainly see this theme quite prominent in the medical community: the allopathic verses the naturopathic; prolonging life through artificial means despite the lost of the quality of life, verses letting things take their natural course and using natural cures. This theme is quite fitting to Ixion's discovery in and current passage through Ophiuchus in sidereal Scorpio

My thoughts are that although I was studying natural medicine I find that western medicine is essential as well. I had an idea to open a clinic that catered to both because I think they are both needed equally. I always argued with my dad (a western medicine doctor) that there is a reason it is called 'complimentary' medicine. He has since taken it more seriously He was very disappointed when I wanted to go in the natural medicine direction and in fact thought I was a bit crazy. He now says he has prescribed St John's Wort to people and uses destressing and meditation techniques.
Western medicine often uses a band-aid type approach eg, prescribing pills to lower blood pressure vs natural medicine which will look for the root of the cause and try to use natural means to lower blood pressure.. but I don't support fanatical natural practitioners who avoids western medicine to detriment of others, like in cases I have seen of cancer being treated by natural means and the person dying (there have been court cases over here about that) and think that western medicine is indeed required when necessary.

This description definitely describes me regarding natural vs allopathic medicine.
