I think if the asteroid KARMA is involved, the theme of "balancing out" is even more pronounced than it already is with the square.
Like you have probably more squares in your chart, and some, though indicative of certain personal traits being in conflict with each other, may take more a backseat, while when Karma is involved, the matter may be more urgent.
Like it is your "lesson" to face that inner struggle and somehow come to a balanced way to express both.No ideaa as for the others right now, it is too early for that right now.  IP: Logged |

Karma-Psyche squaring Venus could also indicate to concentrate more on a soulconnection and not placing sensual pleasures above this more subtle, sensitive connection.
I guess it will highlight your already present square betweren Mars and Venus, just that it adds a more "soulful" vibe to the more active, physical side of Mars.
Mars as the principle of "want", in conjunction to Psyche could also mean that you really want to find a soulmate, and resonate with them on an intuitive level.
You could also be very protective of that side of yourself, Psyche is very open and vulnerable, sometimes too open, but Mars knows very well how to protect and defend and fight.
I think when things get difficult, even though you are sensitive (psyche on asc), you will not let anyone treat you like a "doormat". Mars will see to that.IP: Logged |

I got it when you write that Karma/Psyche indicate "to concentrate more on a soulconnection and not placing sensual pleasures above this more subtle, sensitive connection." In my 20s I would just follow the Scorpionic Venus path leaving the soulmate path away because the need to connect physically first was more intense than some intangible 'soulmate' notion. I am more in tune with my intuition now, so the soulmate connection is not that intangible as it was back then. Very interesting.
And yes the one relationship where the guy turned abusive, was very short-lived and it ended with him in jail. Even through pain, I know how to fight for myself. And, dare I say, for others... Hey, that's the essence of Ceres!!!!!! I could literally die defending someone in need! I have a soft spot for the underdog (and in a way I am an underdog too though that's something to know after you know me really well). I always thought my Libran Jupie is the "cause" of this. I always felt like a Jean D'arc in my heart. I even had dreams of me protecting people (esp. kids)......

Ah, this makes a lot of sense.
I read in the other thread, of iQ's, about Karma and the Libra Sun, so I get the sense of balance.
And yes I need some help balancing the square as Mars and Venus are my personal planets and they are BOTH prominent in my chart: MArs is on my ASC and trines the ASC ruler, Venus highlights my Plutonic/Scorpionic elements in my chart.
I think I have moderated the Scorpionic elements through my Aquarian activity but I am not sure my Venus is satisfied. How do you satisfy a Scorpio Venus when you take her passion out of the equation?

I found what you wrote here very interesting.Funnily I have had my very own definition of Ceres, for my personal way of checking synastry, and I called her the "female protection principle", so when you described the protective side it was very much in tune with what I had been thinking of recently. Anyway, I will have to see that movie now.

Yes, that's exactly -to me at least!
The 'female protector power".
It's interesting that it's at odds (wide square) with my Venus, my softer female power.
Yes, I always felt more "male" than female in terms of energy. With Mars in the 1st that's not of any surprise I guess but it's a subtle energy difference. I can go "all out" if I fight for something or someone I believe in. It combines my Sagittarean and Aquarian idealism along with my Martian aggression. This makes sense also because my sense of nurturing is not the usual "momsy" style.
I mean, I am very tender and sensitive, make no mistake. BUT I also have this side that says "I am your best mate in war; you can rely on me when the going gets tough" type of thing. LOL IP: Logged | |
