For example, Me: 3/18/1987

3=Juno!
18=Melpomene(?)
1987=Kapla(?)

Also, 87 (because we often refer to our years by the last two digits) and 1 (my numerology number) and 9 (my birthday numerology number).

87=Sylvia(?)
1=Ceres!
9=Metis!

I figure if we study these all together that we can get a little story of ourselves going. I can see right off the bat that my birthday number's asteroid is a nickname of my little brother!!! What?! I thought it is such a unique nickname! Craazy. I know that my sun and moon are transposed my brother's. I'm sure there is tough aspects for this asteroid if I check it because he and I had the most strained relationship then my other siblings and I.

It makes sense that my lifepath number is the same as the asteroid ceres that is the "mothering" asteroid. Mine is in Capricorn and that was very much my position in the family was to "mother" my siblings in the absence of there being a father (Capricorn) in the house. Also, it follows the pattern of Cap in that I was very responsible as a child and have learned to relinquish some of that as I've gotten older.

I'm starting to see that Juno and Aquarius (the sign and house my Juno is in) are more and more important in my birthchart then I thought that they were..

The others I really have to research...

What about you? (If you only want to post partial bday info that's cool..)

WOW my bday asteroid, Metis, that relates to my bro is in my 3rd House in Gemi exactly conj my Chiron!! There is no closer rep of that. Amazing!.. Edit: because third house and gemi rule siblings..

I noticed that a person I am interested in has all of my bday asteroids closely conj my personal planets with the exception of Juno conj outers and ceres being in my intercepted 6th house. I wonder if 'birthday asteroids' as I'm calling them, are always so close from a person that we are meant to learn from? (his moon on my vertex).. I will start checking these for both parties in future synastries -also the bday asteroids of event charts (first meetings)!! Oooo this is sooo fun for my scorpmoon!!

At hand, MELPOMENE is the muse of SINGING!!! She then became known as the muse of tragedy. I am extremely musical and I sang as a child but when I went through bad things in life I stopped singing. I literally cannot sing if I am deeply hurting. I just cannot. It's like I'll bleed out of my solar plexus or something. Melpomene is conj my moon in scorpio in my 7th house. Strangely enough it is not conj my pluto. It is sextile my MH, trine my Merc and bQ my sun -sesquiquadrate my chiron which makes PERFECT sense with my chiron being in gemi in the 3rd. It is inconjunct my ASC and Jupiter. -I am still not familiar with inconjunctions.

Interesting approach:
My birthday is 18th december 1974

18: Melpomene
12: Victoria
1974: Caupolican

The aspects are interesting:
Melpomene: 10.39 Pisces
Jupiter (chartruler): 11.12 Pisces
CAupolican: 11.38 Pisces
Ceres: 9.37 Pisces

Victoria: 26.49 Sagittarius
Sun: 25.56 Sagittarius
Mercury. 25.03 Sagittarius

As you can see all three are tightly conjunct an identity-planet (Sun and chartruler).

Melpomene is the muse of tragedy (singing).

Caupolican was the military leader of the Mapuche people of Chile in the 16th century.

Victoria is of course the goddess of victory.

Interestingly my Sun is also on a "warrior-Sabian": A flagbearer in battle.

I do not see myself as much of a warrior, but I found this interesting cause I once had a psychic reading and the reader saw me as a "military leader on a horse, with a scroll in hands".

BTW the last two digits of my year 74 are the asteroid GALATEA.
This is the name of the statue, Pygmalion made, then fell in love with it, and finally Venus gave her the spark of life.

OMG so 'Kapla' literally means 'Success' in Klingon LMBO!

It is soo funny because my sister was learning some Klingon and I picked up like two words -but you have to becareful where you talk that stuff because I had self-professed 'NERDS' kind of fall in love with me for that kind of talk LOL.

My Kapla is retrograde in the 6th house in Leo. It is widely conj the missing leg of my t-square. I actually find that a very encouraging place to have "Success" -and it being in the creative sign of Leo is right up my alley!!

uhhh strike that. 1987 is 'Kaplan' not 'kapla' astro.com cuts the names off on the charts ugh. Hey at least I know some klingon LOL.

So the placement is correct above -I just have to find out the meaning for kaplaN...

"The name of the Asteroiden was selected in honours of the Russian astronomer and war veterans Samuil Aronowitsch Kaplan." :-/ ??!! I don't like that! The Klingon fits better lol. The asteroid was found a day before bro's bday and 2 days after my nephew's and on sept 11th in 1952 so the war reference makes sense... still don't see it pertaining to me personally although I guess the effects of that day have changed our whole society...

Ok, now for Sylvia..
She is in my third house also squaring my sun and my ASC, trining my mercury, and opposing Uranus and MC.

Her naming is as follows:

"Sylvia was discovered by N. R. Pogson on May 16, 1866 from Madras (Chennai), India.[8] A. Paluzie-Borrell, writing in Paul Erget's The Names of the Minor Planets (1955), mistakenly states that the name honours Sylvie Petiaux-Hugo Flammarion, the first wife of astronomer Camille Flammarion. In fact, in the article announcing the discovery of the asteroid, Pogson explained that he selected the name in reference to Rhea Silvia, mother of Romulus and Remus."

-Cool! I always like the way Romulus and Remus sound (although I forget the story if I ever really knew it lol)

So, the story:

"Rhea Silvia (also written as Rea Silvia), and also known as Ilia, was the mythical mother of the twins Romulus and Remus, who founded the city of Rome. Her story is told in the first book of Ab Urbe Condita of Livy and in fragments from Ennius, Annales[1] and Fabius Pictor.[2]"

"According to Livy's account of the legend she was the daughter of Numitor, king of Alba Longa, and descended from Aeneas. Numitor's younger brother Amulius seized the throne and killed Numitor's son, then forced Rhea Silvia to become a Vestal Virgin, a priestess of the goddess Vesta. As Vestal Virgins were sworn to celibacy for a period of thirty years, this would ensure the line of Numitor had no heirs.

However, Rhea Silvia conceived and gave birth to the twins Romulus and Remus, claiming that the god Mars[3] had discovered her in the forest and seduced her.[4]

When Amulius learned of the birth he imprisoned Rhea Silvia and ordered a servant to kill the twins. But the servant showed mercy and set them adrift on the river Tiber, which, overflowing, left the infants in a pool by the bank. There a she-wolf (lupa), who had just lost her own cubs, suckled them.[5] Subsequently Faustulus rescued the boys, to be raised by his wife Larentia.[6]

Romulus and Remus went on to found Rome, overthrow Amulius, and reinstate Numitor as King of Alba Longa."

"Etymology The name Rhea Silvia suggests a minor deity, a demi-goddess of forests. Silva means woods or forest, and Rea may be related to res and regnum; Rea may also be related to Greek rheô, "flow," and thus relate to her association with the spirit of the river Tiber. Carsten Niebuhr proposed that the name Rhea Silvia came from Rea, meaning guilty, and Silvia meaning of the forest and so assumed that Rhea Silvia was a generic name for the guilty woman of the forest, i.e. the woman who had been seduced there."

"In a version presented by Ovid,[8] it is the river Anio who takes pity on her and invites her to rule in his realm"

hmm.. this is the 2nd one to tie to Aries (war and the god) which is my ASC. Also, it again ties into being made to be a mother and it is in gemi in the third = siblings. It's weird because my mom has this crazy obsession with twins and virginal births too. Her name is similar to Sylvia but not enough that I'm like 'That's her!'

"Sylvia is orbited by two small moons. They have been named Romulus and Remus ((87) Sylvia I Romulus and (87) Sylvia II Remus), after the children of the mythological Rhea Silvia."

I think it is amazing that this asteroid looks like a fish in the middle of an eye! I am pisces and for a while I was obsessed with the 'evil eye' in my artwork. It is said to be the 'fish's eye' and that only fish are immune to the evils that it protects from. How fitting that, in one account, the River rescues Rhea Silvia and that the asteroid looks like a fish (with two 'bubbles' lol)!

This is true of my childhood in a way:

"RHEA SILVIA, the mother of Romulus, was a vestal virgin, who lived in the kingdom of Latium about four hundred years after the death of Æneas. A vestal virgin was a sort of priestess, who was required, like the nuns of modern times, to live in seclusion from the rest of the world, and devote their time wholly and without reserve to the services of religion. They were, like nuns, especially prohibited from all association and intercourse with men."

My mother was a religious fanatic and I was EXTREMELY sheltered and had chasitity shoved down my throat. I find it funny that Vesta was in charge of these virgins and my Vesta is in Taurus like my mars and Eros LOL.

"Rhea Silvia, by reason of her having been by birth a princess of this royal line."

-My middle name means "princess" and also, "my darling".

Oh and with all of that wolf talk -I am Wolf in Native American Astrology- also, I was singing 'Shewolf' by Shakira this morning LOL

So first wife of Zues. Known for being cunning but wise. Would bear powerful children...so powerful that Zues was afraid to sleep with her, but did anyway. Cause he didn't want his kids to be more powerful than him. Mom of Athena and some dude not sure who her son was. Zeus turned her into a fly and swallowed Metis but she still had her kids come out of Zues. Sounds like Metis is not someone to mess with.

July(7) - Iris - 16 Capricorn -
RIS was the goddess of the rainbow, the messenger of the Olympian gods. She was often represented as the handmaiden and personal messenger of Hera. Iris was a goddess of sea and sky--her father Thaumas "the wondrous" was a marine-god, and her mother Elektra "the amber" a cloud-nymph. For the coastal-dwelling Greeks, the rainbow's arc was most often seen spanning the distance beteween cloud and sea, and so the goddess was believed to replenish the rain-clouds with water from the sea. Iris had no distinctive mythology of her own. In myth she appears only as an errand-running messenger and was usually described as a virgin goddess. Her name contains a double meaning, being connected both with iris, "the rainbow," and eiris, "messenger."

17 - Thetis - 28 Gemini -
To avoid the consequences of the prophecy they hastily made sure she was married off to a mortal. This happened against her wishes, but she tried to make the best of it and had a son called ACHILLES whom she did her best to protect.
28-29 deg Gemini

The First Mockingbird Of Spring
98 - Ianthe - 25 Aries
Ianthe was a Cretan girl who was betrothed to Iphis. Iphis was a woman raised as a man; she also fell in love with Ianthe and prayed to the gods to allow the two women to marry. She was changed by Isis into a man, and became Ianthe's husband.
Ianthe, one of the 3,000 sons and daughters of the Titan Oceanus and Tethys, the Oceanids mentioned in homeric hymn to Demeter, who was one of the nymphs with the Goddess of Spring, Persephone when she was captured by Hades, the God of the Underworld.
Ianthe, a young girl, so beautiful that when she died the Gods made purple flowers grow around her grave.

My goodness this is fun!

My entire birthdate (lifepath) added up to 1970: Asteroid 'Summer' and it conjuncts exactly my natal sun. The funny thing is I've always loved 'Summer' as a name and thought for many years that if ever I were to have a daughter I would name her this. Then, my uncle in recent years married a woman with a young daughter named 'Summer' and when I first met her I was so surprised at how she looked because to me she looked as though she could be my daughter! We are of different races and I kept thinking that there must be mixing somewhere in her bloodline for her to look so much like she could be my own child. I find her to be a very endearing little thing.

Hour of birth = Gertrud. Origin german (elswhere said swedish) meaning protected farm. Also means strength of sword. Also, as the given name of a person it is derived from St. Gertrude of Nivelles (Belgium), a benedictine abbess (female abbot / mother superior). She inherited lots of land and built churches, monasteries and hospices. She was a mystic and was gifted with visions. She is patron of cats and travellers, and she is invoked against rats, mice and mental illness.

This hour of birth asteroid conjuncts my Asc! and zeus by 1.5deg and 2.3deg respectively. I really relate to this in so many ways. Even having had a weird and slightly scary meeting with an exceptionally pious master of a catholic boys school almost as soon as I set foot in Belgium for the first time. I'm given to visions (less so now as I often don't like them)and mystical experiences. I had a fascination with the idea of becoming a nun as a child, though I wasn't Catholic. I used to work in mental health. I recently inherited land and a farm. A neighbour with his house adjoining the farm estate is very vigilant and protective of the whole area, which I'm very pleased about because it's in the middle of nowhere and it makes me feel that the property is safe and that i would be safe should I ever stay there.

Also, I've been toying with the idea of applying for a Medical law postgrad. I started making the application yesterday and didn't complete it, wondering whether it's really for me. My background is in philosophy and ethics and although there is an 'ethics' component to the postgrad' degree I thought perhaps it wouldn't be enough to fulfill my desire for research in this area. So, I've been trying to make up my mind as to whether to submit the application. I saw this thread, fed in my birth day on astro.com and found it = asteroid Hygiea. It's in my first house conjuncting my year asteroid which relates to an impression in the moon (can't find anything else on it), but it gave me the 'impression' that I would be emotionally satisfied by branching my research out into the area of medicine (and the law). I got my answer: Go ahead with the application!

OMG I love this stuff. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with asteroids.

that's the degree of my jupiter!

------------

okie finally fav time to sit down an do this.

84=12=3

84- klio (what a cute asteroid name lol)

named after Clio, the Muse of history in Greek mythology. The name Clio had previously been suggested by the discoverer of 12 Victoria, and that is the name B. A. Gould, editor of the prestigious Astronomical Journal, adopted for that asteroid, because of the controversy over the name Victoria.

12- victoria conjunct my moon

Victoria is officially named after the Roman goddess of victory, but the name also honours Queen Victoria. The goddess Victoria (Nike for the Greeks) was the daughter of Styx by the Titan Pallas.

3- juno, which most of us know

Edit: 1970 = Sumeria

I didn't look at the table underneath the chart drawing. 'Sumer' was an abbreviation.

I'm quite freaked out by it's being exactly conjunct my sun by about 9 or 10 minutes of orb. I used to get lots of information when I was younger, telling me that I was Sumerian. Most of it I've forgotten and haven't thought about for many years. I suppose I disregarded it. Need to go and read up about this civilization, and see if the connection to it has become relevant in my life in some way once again.

**84=klio..named after Clio**
What an odd coincidence that's my name. It's also a 'historical' reference in the sense that it was the name of a beloved sister of my dad's whom he lost when he was very young (she too was an infant). My Grandma and dad had loved her dearly, and I felt quite a responsibility to live up to this name and do right by her, though of course I never met her.

8 - Flora - 12 Can 28'59" - Latin goddess of flowers and gardens.

23 - Thalia - 22 Sag 18'35" - Muse of Comedy and Pastoral Poetry.

1978 - Patrice - 8 Tau 45'33"

And for 2-digit year? 78 - Diana - 23 Sco 28'20" - Roman Goddess of the hunt.

The Patrice asteroid was rather interesting, as it was within roughly a degree of my Moon/Chiron. My 5th grade teacher's first name was Patricia. This is roughly relevant as she helped me and dad both deal with my mom's passing away during that year (1989).

Not sure what to say about Flora or Thalia. Diana, being roughly 1 degree of trine Black Moon Lilith, unsure. I do know a Diana, but I'm satisfied as just friends with her. I have a feeling that's mutual lol, so just as well. (She's definitely not a hunter either).

Heey! I've been 'gone' for a while..

I saw the fat cat. Do you think he is taurus? hahaha

haha no I didn't make it up

The Iris I knew was a bad girl too lol a little low-key though.

Yes, I have pet bunnies! The girl is a Taurus -that's why she stares at me all the time LOL She stalks me Invader Zim like. My friends and co-workers find it quite hilarious. Is your girl pug an Aquarius? My boy bunny is and he can also be 'meh' to me at times too LOL

SOOO COOOL about the school thing too!! I love how a person we don't even know can 'trigger' or 'click' something in us that helps us go with our intuition -I'm beginning to wonder if those that that connection occurs with have aspects to our vertexes..

Sumerians Ooo that is a 'deep' connection. I know that Sumerian is suppose to be one of the very first full languages that all the others stems from. Also, it is really tied into aliens, demons, angels, etc. -people involved in the paranormal often say that the 'beings' spoke Sumerian!!

REALLY COOL about your name! I had hoped I'd have a name asteroid as mine lol
