I haven't yet checked the 2am time for closer aspects but when I earlier checked some of the ones listed below I wondered if they'd play out tonight. My grandmother got worse this afternoon after being transferred to the bigger hospital on Sunday, so there was slight warning or their asking my aunt if they could call at any hour of the day, but of course she might have made it as well.

DOB: 15.8.1928
I've used 4:38pm as the time since it fits her and family patterns, but can't know for sure. Finnish-Russian border, old Karelia, closest these days probably Lappeenranta I guess.

Midnight moving to the 24th's side, the asteroids I was looking at earlier had

My Moon is ~0.30 Pisces so Atropos opposed it and Rip-Porta Coeli apexed the T-square with my Moon. My Sun/Moon MP is 29 Tau so the asteroids also hit that. Transiting Moon would have moved into Cancer sometime after midnight to form a Grand Trine with my Moon and transit Sun, and to quincunx Rip-P.C.

Transiting Grieve squares Mars in Virgo, and both form another T-square with 4 Gemini, where both I and my grandmother have Mars. Her Venus is 4.53 Virgo. My grandmother's NN is 6.24 Gemini so both Grieve and Anubis are near her SN or in contact with Mars and Venus.

She's had long term heart problems but it was a case of kidney failure and other things contributing to the difficult situation tonight it seems. I don't know the details yet, but where in my mother's case it was entirely unexpected, this was with short notice only. With my mother there were asteroid hits I'll transfer to this side again when I can, as I'm just posting this quickly before finally heading to bed.

Siva is conj my 23 Lib Grieve, which got some other hits in June from what I recall. I have Requiem conj Venus already as it is and Rip at 27 Libra opposite Chiron and square Saturn. To continue the slight Damocles theme that there appeared to be earlier, my grandmother has Damocles at 17.16 R Aquarius opposite her 18 Leo Atropos. My Proserpina is 17 Aquarius.

Transiting Damocles is 18.43 R Aquarius, meaning it's been a Damocles return for her.

Transiting Restitutum was at 25.32 Cap at midnight, opposite what used to be my mother's Sun.

Yes, I have lost a lot of people this year, too (the cousin of my Dad on easter, my grandmother on 15th july, the sister of my grandmother last month), but to be honest I can`t even imagine losing my mother.

Of all these losses the death of my grandmother was the hardest blow to take, as she has been such an integral part of our lives.
Also, she was the last of my grandparents. It is like childhood is officially over now.

I remember that the progressions and transits were really creepy.

Belated condolences to you as well and to anyone else who posts and has lost someone. I remembered you bringing up some of your losses elsewhere, hence the topic from a more general POV as well.

I think it was harder on my grandmother (age 85), since her eldest son died a bit over a year ago and then not even a year later her second eldest child, my mother (age 60) She kind of lost her spiritedness and will to fight after the June blow according to some of the home help here. Now my aunt has lost three people from her family within a year or so, and she has other things to stress over as well, so of course it's difficult for her with this being her mother now.

This was the last remaining grandparent for me as well. She was also always my favourite one and we got along fine. Quadruple-Leo and double Leo, Neptune conjunct my Sun, little things. My mother also had a lot of Leo in her chart (ASC, Pluto, Merc, SN) but her Sun was at 25.27 Cancer. Leo and Cancer run also in my brother's family or his children.

My progressed Moon is at 14.17 Can conj Sirius and what was my mother's Siva-Uranus. Grandmother's nAeternitas at 15.05 Can. Progressed Vertex is 25.37 Cap opposite my mother's Sun.

Both me and my mother have Aeternitas at 9 Leo natally.

I donīt think we can predict death either, but in retrospect we can see the impact, yes.

Actually we can see beforehand that something`s is going to effect us emotionally and in what way. What the cause of this is, can be different things.

For me it actually were different things coming together.
