After a while of being dis appreciative of my Sun-Kaali conjunction (exact 1st house) i've come to grips with it and am learning to appreciate the Kundalini energy & spiritual aspects of this position.
Though as a Male it does make you feel so much more sensitive & vulnerable, the gifts of mediation & spiritual kundalini energy are completely parallel.

I have 2 questions on Kaali

#1 is How does one learn Kundaalini Yoga

#2 What way can i go about to avoid or teach Siva in anothers chart ...

If this whole "kundalini awakening" is true I would recommend you to not experiment if you want to be able to relax.

PF there is heaps on the web about kundalini, yoga for raising/awakening it and possible dangers.
Also see a thread in the LL forum called 'universal codes'.

Kaali = Shakti (Yoga) = Tantrik Feminine Energy Goddess

Shiva = Masculine unformed Conciousness

The divine couple

Kali (pronounced kah'lee), the Hindu triple Goddess of creation, preservation, and destruction is the animating force of Shiva, the destroyer (lord of the Dance). She is the insatiable hunger of time that births then devours. Skulls, cemeteries, and blood are all associated with her worship. Kali's energy is uncontrollable. After killing two demons, she got drunk on their blood and began dancing on their dead flesh. She danced herself into a frenzy until she realized she almost danced Shiva to death.
The Lessons of this Goddess:
Kali has begun her dance in your life to tell you it is time to face your fears. All that is lurking ominously, eithre buried deep in your inner darkness or close by, needs to be stared in the eye and brought into the ight of consciousness. Are you fears serving you by warning you about dangerous places, things, or people? Or do your fears prevent you from dancing your dance, living your life, creating with Creation? The Goddess comes to tell you that your dance is needed as part of the whole Dance of Creation. Wholeness is nurtured when you reclaim the pieces of yourself that you've given over to fear. Most fears are formless. By naming and witnessing the fear, you gain power. Wholeness is created when you learn to acknowledge your fears and walk through them.

To properly understand this complex Tantric symbolism it is important to remember that the meaning behind Shiva and Kali does not stray from the non-dualistic parlance of Shankara or the Upanisads. According to both the Mahanirvana and Kularnava Tantras, there are two distinct ways of perceiving the same absolute reality. The first is a transcendental plane which is often described as static, yet infinite. It is here that there is no matter, there is no universe and only consciousness exists. This form of reality is known as Shiva, the absolute Sat-Chit-Ananada - existence, knowledge and bliss. The second is an active plane, an immanent plane, the plane of matter, of Maya, i.e., where the illusion of space-time and the appearance of an actual universe does exist. This form of reality is known as Kali or Shakti, and (in its entirety) is still specified as the same Absolute Sat-Chit-Ananada. It is here in this second plane that the universe (as we commonly know it) is experienced and is described by the Tantric seer as the play of Shakti, or God as Mother Kali.

i was giving a surprise blessing at a Kali temple (I stayed respectfully outside the gates and did not have an offering, but the person I was with rushed out and put a garland of flowers around my neck and a mark on my forehead. I had a rush of exhilaration. Soon after, in a different place, I met someone who needed my help and I helped her. We became dear friends, and I learned that she had visited the same temple before I had, and had made an offering there. I understood that this friend of mine was more important than me--not in some bad way like I'm unimportant, but just that she has some pivotal role on the planets, and helping her was a huge honor from the deities.

Shortly after all THAT, I had an unplanned pregnancy (very out of character for me!!! My Saturn always kept behavior like that in check), and I understood/believed that my daughter was a blessing from this goddess. After that, it's been this dark time where my ego is getting crushed and destroyed. I don't think Kali is trying to teach me any kind of "lesson" with the difficulty--I just think from her perspective, giving me a beautiful, healthy and fierce girl child was just the greatest blessing imaginable, and the practicalities of my everyday life were just not a big consideration to this goddess--she has bigger things to work with!! So here I am with this ridiculously high-demand baby and no proper container for her or myself.

It's a beautiful thing and after I get chewed up and spit out, we will be okay, right? Right? Or not, but....I didn't know until today that Kali is associated with the Kundalini rise. I do practice kundalini yoga sometimes, but more just to combat stress, cleanse my adrenals, look prettier--I have not had a kundalini rise and would NOT want one. I don't have a spiritual calling other than that one person I helped, and I know I was brought to help her because I happened to be at that temple. I don't mean that in a bad way--the relationship of spirituality to my life is one of the things I am happy with. My main spiritual practices are that I meditate and that I try (sometimes fail! But try again) to practice compassion and self-study.

This is so long-winded, sorry, but--in my friend's belief system, images or icons of gods and goddesses actually LITERALLY embody the deity. I can really feel that now that I learned about it.

My daughter and I, in our synastry, have:
KAALI opposite Neptune (0 degrees, I am Neptune) and
KAALI opposite KAALI (0 degrees)

Natal Kaali is in my 5th house.

My relationship to this asteroid is very subjective and based on a personal experience--I wonder if that's like name asteroids, where the asteroid can have a very personal or idiosyncratic resonance with each person? I just thought about this today, remembered that there's a Kaali asteroid, and decided to look it up.

Not sure exactly why I'm posting in this thread, except maybe the heading will attract people already interested in Kali, the goddess? Also that the energy could play out in different ways for different people.

Wow, so, looking at the transits:

-when I visited the temple ( need my journal for exact dates), tKaali conjunct my Uranus.
-the night I conceived my baby, tKaali conjunct my MC (1 degree)
-the night I gave birth, tKaali conjunct my Neptune (0 degrees)

And now, tKaali is conjunct my Mars(0)/my daughter's Sun---since I don't really follow asteroids and just had the impulse this morning, I REALLY feel like somebody is trying to tell me something!!!

The best resource on a Kundalini activation on this site is this thread in Universal Codes.
