PSYCHE-MADHATTER seeks a deeper meaning to the insanity. You fight back with your soul's knowledge rather than logic or rationale. In SCO, I can imagine it's very intense; an emotional experience.

My MADHATTER is in my 1H, too, on my ASC.

I wouldn't go THAT far with it, honestly.

ALICE is nothing more than our encountering the unknown. Aspects to it would show how we go about it. Hence, MERC being your attempts to think it through, and be logical.

Or, we could look at your MERC as ALICE-tinted: daydreamy, petulant, curious and youthful.

ALICE conj MERC may also simply be a curious, inquisitive mind. Which you no doubt have.

As to wondering about insanity - that's MADHATTER. Also, afflictions to ALICE and what planets / points appear in a pattern may help you understand her relationship to sanity or delusion.

WHITERABBIT is that which obsesses and drives us. It's compulsion. (To some degree, if afflicted, there can be some indication of obsessive-compulsive tendency as well.) It's what we're chasing after, avidly hunting. The aspects and how it's placed show us why.

CHESHIRECAT is another tricky one. Here, we receive assistance, and even companionship - with strings attached. Nor is it anything we can control. There's ulterior motive, and the help (and camaraderie) can disappear just as quickly as it came - as well as lead to unintended, troublesome results.

Gabby already shared what Dodgson was going for with the REDQUEEN. Indeed, she is imperious calculation. Logical to a fault with her passions tightly in check. Think of a SATURN/PLUTO=VENUS flavour with a 10H vibe. Coolly domineering and a very detached, aloof leader. You can expect one with her prominent to be very proper, contained to the point of being ascetic, and very sophisticated. Either in appearance, manner, demeanour, or both.

JABBERWOCKY is a curious one. It would seem rather than denote an actual threat, this one is imagined. Instead, it represents our paranoia.
