I've been thinking lately about the Nemesis archetype, and one of her defining traits is that she hates when someone is 'too fortunate'.When I think about Nemesis, I imagine her as the force behind every great tragedy. No matter how hard you try, or how high you climb, she'll get you, and ruin your picture perfect happiness and or success. Mostly I think, because she's a stern judge of moral virtue, and since humans are all flawed, she probably sees them as unworthy of whatever good things they have idk So here are my thoughts on how Nemisis could influence you astrologically. How about ya'll? What do you think this asteroid does on an astrological level? IP: Logged |

The best example to see how Nemesis works is Leonardo Dicaprio - His Moon is conjunct Nemesis exactly First house.IP: Logged |

I think your description for Nemesis at work in the natal chart is par on, especially when it involves harsher aspects, so, yeah! Right on! I'm a bit worn out this evening, but I did post a lil on my view of Neme in a previous thread here some time ago. Although I was looking at specifics given from another member at that time. My interpretation of Nemesis (and the other bodies) remains the same as I'd explained here pretty much: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/001941.html I'm very careful not to fall into designating any one celestial point or body as being entirely black/white or good/evil; in my interpretations I try to remain neutral with its (possible) metaphorical meanings and then imagine that body (and later look at actual charts with that aspect) in a poor aspect/great aspect to another body or point. But, I don't see the benefit in having ultra-good vs bad dynamics in astrological interpretation. Everything has the potential to be a strength or a weakness, and strengths can later become weaknesses or weaknesses strengths if they are corrupted, abused, or neglected. So there's always that thing.. you know, "free will"! ^^ right!? I don't always study them in synastry straight away, which is why I seldom give interpretations here when those questions are asked... /shamefaced -_- I let the other asteroid-buffs do that instead :x (sorry guys!) <3 IP: Logged |

I have just read your interpretation, thank you for linking it here!
I'm in complete agreement with everything you have said though; there are no good or bad asteroids or planets. Even the most sinister asteroid can work for someone out there. IP: Logged |

"The word Nemesis originally meant the distributor of fortune, neither good nor bad, simply in due proportion to each according to what was deserved."I think it's the Greek version of explaining karma. And recently they found out Nemesis doesn't exist. http://www.space.com/24989-planet-x-search-nasa-telescope.html I think it means nemesis is self-made, something that's created by you subconsciously. You are your own worst enemy. IP: Logged |
