Also, I like to think that Part isn't necessarily meant in a negative context. I meant it in one when I looked at it before, but it doesn't have to mean separation. My boyfriend and I have an extremely tight trine: my Sun trine his Part. This trine is only seconds apart. I think Part is more likely to have a negative meaning if the aspect is a square. At least, I'm hoping that Part can be interpreted positively. I interpret my Sun trine his Part as a deep connection: we're part of each other. So, perhaps he's part of my creative outlet. He has often suggested ideas for my writing.

Constantia means lastingness. It's a relationship asteroid, so I'm not sure how it would combine with Hephaestus.

wooowww i agree with you about his part asteroid. i think if its square it would create lots of tension as you were saying, and the opposition would give like that uranus effect, that person being in your life and out, like back and forth. your hephaestus square his constantia the first thing that comes to me is well it depends on the house and the sign...but if i were not given that i would think that your way of expressing your own wounds into a creative outlet would be something ongoing with him and this could make him feel like he is not giving you the appropriate healing that you deserve or he feels that he has a struggle approving your way or how you approach your healing process creatively or he just feels bad and sorry and possibly a constant burden that he feels you constantly feel unloved in some way and that you need to retreat and when you retreat he may feel guilty about that.....this is all what i could come up with.

your H trine his Part tells me that he understands and feels that your way of healing is in harmony with his own self. he feels that possibly when you retreat, he's able to understand that, or when you feel unloved or your own way of grieving creatively is something he can relate to or feels like its his part as well that he's responsible for your own healing and possibly feels that he is willing to give you that opportunity to heal in a creative outlet as he feels its apart of him in whatever you have to go through.

squares to the vertex I've heard that its very positive meaning that the vertex owner feels that its crucial for him to learn and go through the individuals asteroid or planet for his own growth and divine learning spiritually in what ever house his vertex sits in. he feels blessed and feels a fatedness when it comes to your H squaring it much more.

this is all that came into mind to me

My Hephaistos is in 10th house, which corresponds well to me. conjunct to Moon (Moon at 22th degree Taurus and Hephaistos 20th degree Taurus)

I have this conjunct my moon and square my Chiron, and although almost all of Hephaestus's story I can relate too, the fact that he was born with his feet facing the wrong direction is eerily accurate for me. I was born with club feet (basically my feet were almost upside down).
