I am thinking this may be another love pair, although signifying a deep adoration to the other.
I wouldn't think this would mean a active relationship, but certainly may be a supportive factor in one.

342,580

Obviously we need more research, so please feel free to check it out with charts of loving relationships and share.

Here is some discourse on the myth for research purposes:

"Apollonius of Rhodes[6] is one of the many poets[7] who tell how Selene, the Titan goddess of the moon,[8] loved the mortal. She believed him to be so beautiful that she asked Endymion's father, Zeus, to grant him eternal youth so that he would never leave her. Alternatively, Selene so loved how Endymion looked when he was asleep in the cave on Mount Latmus, near Miletus in Caria,[9] that she entreated Zeus that he might remain that way. In either case, Zeus granted her wish and put him into an eternal sleep. Every night, Selene visited him where he slept. Selene and Endymion had fifty daughters who are equated by some scholars with the fifty months of the Olympiad."

Is it me or Endymion-Moon could be almost as important as Endymion-Selene?

Can you provide a link to this information please?

As I said, I have not read extensively on this myth.

Could be. From the little I have read, Selene appears be a goddess of the Moon, so that would make sense.

Your quote says he was asleep all the time and at the same time they produced offspring (well, alternatively). The process that led to it doesn't sound consensual to me.

Yes, if we take the myth to be literal.
However, how many myths were literal?

Those "children" could refer to anything produced by creative impulses.
Dreams are a creative realm in themselves, and many believe they have experienced agency in dreams.

Just because he was asleep, does not mean he was devoid of consciousness. And there is no mention of physical sex in the myth.

I suppose, I am simply not making assumptions at this point.

The myth appears to be benign to me, but I could be wrong.

Well this stems from the fact that Endymion was asleep while they had sex, some people implying it was not consentual therefore.

But it`s not easy for some people to understand metaphors.

Ceridwen,
yeah, if we take it literally, I guess that is what happened! The myths are multi-layered though, I guess I am hoping we can dig a bit deeper into the symbology of the story.

Orange,

thank you for sharing this. Have you guys shared dreams at all?

How do you think it manifests with Psyche there, perhaps the dreams are lucid?

And can I ask, how are you managing to make the picture zoom in on the aspect like that - I've seen people do this on LL, but no idea how?

"Selene, beautiful goddess of the moon and of hunting (sometimes called Artemis), addressed the stern-faced gods of Mount Olympus.

“I shall never marry,” said Selene. “I want to remain a single goddess all my life.”

The gods were astonished. For a long time each of them had been hoping to claim the lovely goddess as his bride. But so earnest was Selene that eventually Zeus, the supreme god, agreed reluctantly to grant her wish.

Nonetheless, the Greek story-tellers would not tolerate so beautiful a goddess being completely unmindful of the handsome men of Greece. So although Selene never married, men continued to admire her wherever she went.

One evening, after her brother Apollo, the sun god, had put away his fiery steeds for the day, Selene took her glistening moon chariot across the sky.

She had not gone half way when, casting a moonbeam down upon a hilltop, she saw a handsome young shepherd fast asleep on the grass.

Selene swept noiselessly down to earth in her chariot and gently kissed the youth. Endymion. Half awakened by the kiss. Endymion stared bewitched at the lovely goddess as she hastened away.

Already Endymion was in love with her. The next night, he lay upon the same hill, feigning sleep, in the hope of catching sight of Selene again. And she, just as enamoured as he was, again came down to earth and kissed him.

Night after night Selene stopped her journey across the sky to kiss the shepherd.

And night after night he waited for her upon the hilltop, watching through half-shut eyes as she glided down to him."

I have natally ENDYMION conjunct ARTEMIS 1°20 (In Pisces even ).

they are falling right onto his ASC (0°19 - 1°29)

my Selene is sextile my Endymion (1°35) and also sextile his ASC (1°16)

(natally his Artemis is ALMOST conjunct his Endymion, but the orb is too large: 6 degrees)

however my Moon is falling onto his far Endymion/Artemis-mp (0°35) and therefore widely opposite both in his chart with about 3 degrees.

Btw Artemis is 105

naturally his ASC is conjunct my Endymion/ARtemis-mp, and his Sun is square the midpoint (his Moon is a bit too wide for the square)

We have some sort of interlink with Juno, too, as my Endymion is trine his Juno (1°49) and my ARtemis trines his Juno (0°11)

and his Selene conjuncts my Juno (0°24)

Interesting. This interpretation states he was not fully asleep, or was at least aware of her presence, and not at all against it.

Ceridwen, who is "he"?
Reason I am asking is that you've referenced a he several times in our discussions, obviously in trying to understand how a placement functions it would be helpful to know what type of relationship this refers to.

I understand if it is too personal to share though.
