Pholus is not an easy asteroid to have conjunct anything, really. Pholus explodes what it touches–BOOM. I find my information on asteroids by studying the myths and then using the asteroids in charts. In the world of asteroids, there is much that is unexplored, so it is perfect for the lover of astrology to find a fascinating journey. The angles are very personal to each native. Anything that touches them, in our own natal chart or by synastry( the chart of another person) is felt very strongly. Hence, Pholus, our exploding wonder, is not something one would choose to have conjunct an angle, I don’t think. Some people may disagree.

Pholus Conjunct the Ascendant

In the case of Pholus conjunct the Ascendant, one cannot ignore these native. I have been watching “Fuller House”. The Spanish man, Fernando, who is married to Kimmie, seems like a Pholus Conjunct the Ascendant native to me. When he comes into the room, the room kind of explodes like a fireworks display. Is this a bad thing? I would not want to have it myself. The Pholus Conjunct the Ascendant native does not really have choice in the matter of making a splash. That which conjuncts our Ascendant is seen by others and FELT by oneself.

Let me see if I can give a practical example. Let’s say that there is a cocktail party. Everyone is speaking with a low tone of voice and dressed in simple black. The Pholus conjunct the Ascendant person may enter talking about her wild sex life. This is an imaginary scenario, of course, and exaggerated for literary purposes. However, I hope you get the idea of the IMPACT that this native will have on her world.

Pholus Conjunct the IC

The IC is one’s childhood home. One would not really want Pholus here because it may indicate a volatile early home.

Pholus Conjunct the Descendant

Pholus conjunct the Descendant natives may be attracted to people who shake up her world. The angle of the Descendant reveals that which one “casts off” from himself and finds in the “other”. Hence, the Chiron conjunct the Descendant native may be attracted to people in pain. The Dejanira conjunct the Descendant native may be attracted to people who have been victimized. The Pluto conjunct the Descendant native may be attracted to powerful people.

Pholus Conjunct the MC
The MC is the angle of career and the angle which reveals our relationship to the general society in which we live. Hence, expect the Pholus native to shake up the workplace. Perhaps, he is a whistle blower, which would be a wonderful use of Pholus. Perhaps, he shakes up the structure of the company. This could be positive or negative, of course. However, this native will be known as someone who lives large and makes a big explosion in his world.

I have Pholus trine Ascendant, exact to the degree and minute. In my case, I'm a bit less noticeable, but for some reason, I seem to be memorable to the people I interact with and it's not like I talk up a storm in public. It could be how uncommon my first name is to be honest. However, it seems like some people only recognize my face, especially if I've never introduced myself.

The impact I make on my environment isn't as powerful as the conjunction. I do feel it though. It's just less in-my-face.

The trine would be a harmonious and balanced use of the energy, L, so not likely to be a tornado lol

I have Draco Pholus conjunct tropical Asc exact but I am not at all noticeable, the description doesn't resonate with me at all.

This Draco Pholus is also conjunct my tropical Alma and my name asteroid.

What could this mean?

But I do relate to this description of Draco Pholus conjunct tropical Asc/ in the first house:

"This is a position of the cosmopolitan mind. Pholus on the ascendant or in the first house
marks a mobile and unregular life. As an example we have the traveling photographer. Paris. On the halberds, moths, moths."

This also rings true for my tropical Pholus in the 4th and close to the 5th cusp:

In the 4th -

"Changes are studied and patterns of timespace arrange for insight with Pholus nadiring.
This is the position of the master spy. Snooping around the kitchen in the early morning makes for a paparazzo scoop in the late evening.

This is the Bilbo Baggins position (I.C.). One loses local respectability, a few believe his
stories, all know he's mad, his friends are elves, magicians and brownies; one dissapears never to
be back again. /1/

An example:
Pholus I.C. sco = little home theft of old money
Jupiter exact trine Pholus = good luck
Jupiter Kerberos = hacking good luck

Pholus in this position enhances the `restless genes' (of the Tooks) in Bilbo, he steals in, gets his prize and makes it towards happyend."

In the 5th -

"Celibacy and meditation with Pholus in fifth. One definitively has no love for trivia.
To others he might seem a troublemaker. The lover as companion in adventure.
A comfortable risk, a safe dip into the unknown. Cosmotravel for babies. Flash Gordon.
Pleasure trip (typical target Paris). Also roaming around in a cosy maze (Venice)."

Taken from here:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/001614-2.html

CENTAUR PHOLUS IN THE 12 HOUSES

1. This is a position of the cosmopolitan mind. Pholus on the ascendant or in the first house
marks a mobile and unregular life. As an example we have the traveling photographer. Paris. On the halberds, moths, moths.

2. Roaming access to your account and temporary loss of money when Pholus is in the second
house. Pholus has it's own oblique ways to make you find the things you miss in life.

3. Briefs such as this analysis, quick schedule builders, blitz interviews and a sense of
overall improvisation with Pholus in third. Exactly on the cusp of your favorite house
system (Regiomontanus, Porphyry), Pholus thelepats your favorite city and escape destination.

4. Changes are studied and patterns of timespace arrange for insight with Pholus nadiring.

Pholus in this position enhances the `restless genes' (of the Tooks) in Bilbo, he steals in, gets his prize and makes it towards happyend. [ In the former example, darkplanet Kerberos,
Jupiter and Scorpio contribute to the success of the thief. ]

5. Celibacy and meditation with Pholus in fifth. One definitively has no love for trivia.
To others he might seem a troublemaker. The lover as companion in adventure.
A comfortable risk, a safe dip into the unknown. Cosmotravel for babies. Flash Gordon.
Pleasure trip (typical target Paris). Also roaming around in a cosy maze (Venice).

6. Pholus in sixth. Rituals such as of left tantra. Success as seaman. Swiss banks protect your capital. A discrete standard even after heavy taxing. Generally a symptom of good health.

7. Unmarried does not mean haremless. When Pholus is in the 7th house, the soul mate is from another place. It might even be off the planet or from dreamworld.

8. This is a very loving position. Tears will clean the way to sincerity. Davison relationship synastry chart reports will determine the time of love.

9. Dreaming together and contacts with your guru inthe astral kingdom. Pholus is about traveling and is accordingly obviousely strong in 12th 3rd and 9th.

10. Artists could profit from this position. The would be guru has yet to discard his human frame. Media like TV. Not a steady job at all, movimentated career, paid not to work, poltron, flatterer, double agent.

11. Moving inside his own clan he keeps the core sincere. Pholus is a happy family man when the big clan prospers and perhaps lively transactions happen from within it's circle. An advice increase severity and nevertheless cherish the woman as the centre of the clan. This is NASDAQ's position.

12. Samadhi is the end of married life. Yin and Yang unmarry here. Tao knows neither Yin nor Yang. One quits entangling himself with the world of duty, parents long gone, he quits mindane business and has false mind ("his" ego) as the only devil to face to the end. TrueMind takes over, dissolving the salt doll of "ego" or "foreign instal", daily mind. Events funneled, as if guided by a mysterious hidden god.

Another weird thing is that in tropical my Pholus is conjunct my name asteroid square to Vertex. Which is kind of similar to Draco Pholus - tropical Asc conjunction. But what does it mean? Such a huge ego?

Apart from my asteroid name, it's also conjunct my DNA.

I am not noticeable at all being Scorpio Asc with a ruler close to the 12th cusp.
