Found another reference for 1983 Bok List of "Bok" in references - http://dictionary.sensagent.com/1983%20Bok/en-en/ Quote-- 1983 Bok is an asteroid discovered June 9, 1975 by Elizabeth Roemer. It is named for astronomers Bart Jan Bok and Priscilla Fairfield Bok. ref. For (1983) Bok, the naming citation reads in part: "This is the first minor planet discovered with the 229-cm telescope of the Stewart Observatory to be numbered. It is named for the Boks in recognition of their role in bringing the large reflector of the Steward Observatory into operation and for their support of the astrometric work on comets, minor planets, and satellites. This minor planet was at far southern declination at discovery (and observations at Wellington were important in obtaining a reliable orbit). This is also in fitting association with the Boks, who have devoted much effort to study of the structure of the southern Milky Way and to encouragement of astronomy in the Southern Hemisphere." end/Quote MORE------ Bart Jan Bok, biog - http://dictionary.sensagent.com/Bart%20Bok/en-en/ Priscilla Fairfield Bok, biog - http://dictionary.sensagent.com/Priscilla%20Fairfield%20Bok/en-en/ - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983_Bok IP: Logged |

I can't remember 'what' lead me to find the latest information. Just that I have a knack for finding things (coming across information or goods), once I have in the back of my mind, whatever someone else needs. That applies even if it's a few years later. I seem to instantly remember 'who' was looking for that information. Mark Andrew Holmes had indicated that asteroid Pandora on the 6th House cusp is a good research position, because she trips on information.

With my OWN position of Bok, as related to my own personal life-- I would see it as related to Music. When I had done some of the research on the founders of Curtis Institute of Music, there were sooo many personal associations from my early life with the names I came across. Indirect ties to teachers I knew, musicians, and a guy I had dated (Venus! LOL).But! YOU have to do the research on it IN your own chart, and associate it TO your own life. It 'could' be relevant, or, not at all. I wonder if we "really" know the meanings of some of these asteroids, until we have lived a LONG time. Time will Tell (music) Time (The Alan Parson's Project) [5:37] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcZ9hdinUGE {oh no... such a *sad* song? .. No... It's NOT meant that way-- Just the concept that Time Flows. Flowing OUT 'to the sea', during the Pisces New Moon conjunct Chiron tomorrow-- 26.53 Pisces.} 1983 Bok Taurus 14.33 H5 conjunct Venus Taurus H5 orb 2a sextile VESTA Cancer H8 orb 3a opposition Saturn-rx Scorpio H11 -2a quintile Jupiter Cancer H8 orb 1a IP: Logged |

Hi Mirage, I don't remember in which topic I talked about asteroid Cook, but I'm going to talk a little about it in here. I think it's an asteroid about cooking, because first my sister's Cook is conjunct my Sun and I love her food, what she cooks... I think she cooks very well. My grandfather's Cook is conjunct my Sun too and I like his food too. Maybe you're thinking "that's because they cook well", but people like my grandmother's food and she had some cooking lessons in the past... But I don't like her food. Even when she cooks well, when I find it good objectively, I don't really like eating her food... I thought "maybe she had her Cook opposite my Sun or bad aspected" and her Cook is square my Sun. (so as it's bad aspected, her food is not my kind of food... even if it's good objectively). But my father's Cook is opposite my Sun and sometimes I like / used to like his food. About my father, he has his Cook conjunct his Pluto and it seems like cooking is a problem/ issue for him (because he can't really cook well, in the country he moved in, or it's more difficult... But he could cook even though. He doesn't really want because it's a problem to him because of Pluto. He eats simple things, tin can) My Cook is in my first house and... I don't know if I enjoy cooking, but I like looking for new recipes I could do, and I like eating new recipes I did. Cooking is important to me. By the way, I saw that I wrote "for" instead of "about" in some of my previous messages. In french when you start a sentence by "About..." you can say the word "for..." in french. I was a little ashamed when I saw that I wrote this. Anyway...

Arcturus. Hi. I hadn't seen your post. Please don't worry about tiny nuances of language.. *hugs* Welcome Huldra!! Yes, 'straightwoo' (Lee Coleman). Thanks for the valuable addition of her page. She has some asteroids I haven't checked-out yet. So THANKS!! I skim-read part of her story. Found videos she did, through links to her facebook. Is the kind of shamanic work she does what you have been into? I am 'not' a trained astrologer. Things I've done around LL are through my own experience, and, whatever knowledge I've been able to glean. I have handicaps and challenges-- but do the best that I can here, with whereever I can help-- especially from a much and varied Life full of Experiences. {am older person} .. Have fun at LL. Glad to have you with us. IP: Logged |
