I just noticed that I have this asteroid in my 10th house. It conjuncts my Mars in the 10th house and makes a trine to my Moon which is in my 6th house.

Below is what I read about the asteroid.

Asteroid Panacea can have the following meanings: someone who works with salves, essential oils, herbs or plants to bring about healing; natural healers, good outcomes in medical situations.

I think the fact that I have these aspects in my chart makes sense. This really fits me being as though I'm into Massage Therapy.

I find this is people who want things to come too easily so you may not realize how much work things take.

I don't understand what you are saying. What does this have to do with the question? I am saying that I find it interesting that I have this asteroid in my 10th house being as though I'm into Massage Therapy. I have no idea what you are talking about. I think your answer is for a different question.

Here you mentioned that it's the sign of a Healer.

In astrology, it's an asteroid that relates to healing.

ChildOfVenus, I just read that Panacea was the daughter known for curing 'existing' ailments but it was her sister Hygenia who was known to work in preventive medicine. Panacea was known for creating salves and cures but some views may have seen her as some type of snake oil salesman. So being taken seriously, Hygenia may be the one to look for as a professional. Just what I got from what my search results rendered. I'm certain this on your MC can garner some weight but you might want to check Hygenia, Apollo and a few others too.

..

(Edit in reply to *your* reply) I'll look for the resources I read these things on. Believe me, I WAS not trying to be rude. I have no reason to be. I was tring to be of help.
I interpreted the 2 sisters as a 'preventive ' and the second one as a 'cure' based practitioner. Which in archaic times would be 'perceived ' as a snake oil salesman in my perception of this a cure might not work on everyone, hence making a skeptical thinker think they had been tricked. Just my reasoning as to WHY the people of those times might use such criticism over the Panacea approach.

Now I'll look to see if I can find the links. My cache is clean so I can't promise, I'll do my best.

So far not the exact link is returning, I'm sure if you using similar searches, it can be found if you look. I can offer only a few minutes today. I am sorry if I have upset you.

she was particularly skilled with salves, lotions, topical treatments. You might be a good mixologist!

I haven't read that in regards to Panacea about her being referred to a snake oil salesman. And there are even Massage Therapy businesses that use her name for their practice. I'm not sure what you are reading. But everything I've read about her has been positive. In Mythology she is a Hygiea's sister and is the daughter of the medicine God Asklepios. I have Hygiea in my 11th house and Apollo in my 12th house. But the 10th house is about career. I'll just stick to what I believe in regards to Pancacea thanks.

I have panacea conjunct my vertex, moon, and Pluto and hygiea conjunct my Midheaven along with psyche, dna, and a few others. I foster animals and bring them back from the brink of death but I'm not really drawn to the "healing" arts like reiki and what not.

I have Panacea at 23.32 Gemini, 9th house, almost exactly conjunct Hilaritas at 23.34. I find that so enormously fitting! Laughter is really a cure-all.

Panacea is also one link in a chain of asteroids connected to Chiron.

Chiron 21.22 Gem
Echo 21.35
Hazard 22.00
Karma 22.18
Varuna 22.39
Caesar 22.57
Panacea 23.32
Hilaritas 23.34

Sabians for those degrees:
DANCING COUPLES IN A HARVEST FESTIVAL
THREE FLEDGLINGS IN A NEST HIGH IN A TREE
CHILDREN SKATING OVER A FROZEN VILLAGE POND

Not sure what to make of it yet, but it looks interesting! The Sabians seem to imply themes of change, being on the edge of a precipice, having the guts to do what you want...
