So is it typical for someone to have HEAVY contact like this in their chart? What exactly does all of this say about me? All I know is that I've always been obsessed with Goddesses & Sirens and now I feel like I know why!!

that being said i do have nymph conjunct ascendant and maybe venus (might be slightly far for venus, which would make it sextile uranus trine mercury and opposite moon), vesta conjunct moon/descendant (which makes it opposite venus, trine mercury, trine uranus, lust conjunct uranus (which would make it sextile my ascendant/venus trine mercury trine moon) but i'd say too far for those to touch my nodes though my nodes conjunct my moon and venus and ascendant/descendant axis

i have black moon lilith conjunct chiron in my chart which would mean it's trine my ascendant/venus, sextile moon, opposite uranus and sextile mercury

will have to look in the asteroids thread actually to see about some of the others off the top of my head i know those for sure

we were born within months of each other and have the same ascendant though (i think, libra right?) so many of the house placements should be similar

some people do 4 degree orbs which would also put circe and psyche (both conjunct at 13 degrees leo) conjunct my mercury as well (too far to sextile my ascendant and trine uranus, but not too far to sextile venus and trine my moon)

apollo doesnt do much in my chart (trines saturn and squares pluto sits in 10th in placidus)

aphrodite trines jupiter and my midheaven and it's in my 2nd house

sappho out of sign conjuncts my neptune loosely, and out of sign trines my sun

eros is in my 5th square pluto

strenua/strenia is conjunct my sun (i have a lot of asteroids on my sun off the top of my head fay,nessus, kaali, rudra, mabella, tyche etc)

casanova trines my mars

lilith conjuncts my jupiter (loose) and squares uranus (and chiron/bml technically) in my 5th

valentine trines my venus and ascendant sextiles my moon (off the top of my head i'm relatively sure amor is conjunct my moon/descendant along with eris)

and pallas also trines my mars

i have a good deal of asteroids and fixed stars (my sun is on regulus for example) that are rather prominent in my chart, but of the ones you've listed that's what i got

like my midheaven has anubis, horus, midas etc on it and falls between castor and pollux ic has osiris etc and so on

how do i feel these affect my chart? i think they're minor details that are rather unnecessary because the larger picture can be shown without then

from an occult standpoint anything can have meaning if you give it meaning which can give asteroids value but from an astrology as a system that has a long history of trial and error attached these asteroids have little value because they have not been in depth studied over a long enough period of time to narrow down their effects

I just started getting into asteroids earlier this year too & I find them fascinating.

I do get what Dumuzi is saying bout how there's **** Lotta asteroids. Bassically every one would have every degree in their chart occupied by like several things.

But what I've noticed is pretty much like you said. That you have had an obsession with goddesses since you were young & seeing those asteroids in significant meaningful places to you just makes sense. That is exactly what I have found out in my own experiences with asteroids. Themes in my life that I have been aware of my whole 34 years I have found to be heavy in those asteroids & in significant placements. I don't believe in coincidences & this is certainly not an exception.

Asteroids work great as subtle indicators. They aren't going to dictate your chart but I have found on my own experience that significant asteroid places in someone's chart has already got that theme strictly using the main planets and points.

I think it is hard to wrap our little human minds around the divine order to everything. We need to be able to rationalize everything & if it appears that we can't then it must be nonsense. There is a logic behind everything, whether or not we have the ability to grasp it is another story. Alot of what I have come to know as being truth over the past decade I can all but verbalize and it is agonizing.

I was reading something written by astrologer whom seemed gifted and very knowledgeable. Can't remember his name but he wrote alot of significant degrees.

He described attraction/beauty being indicated at 5° of any sign. In my case this is true. I have neptune conjunct juno, aphrodite, my last name asteroid & a few others. All at 5 degrees Capricorn.

I also have nessus 5° virgo. Not an asteroid one would associate with beauty. But I think of this as a different kind of beauty. Not the kind of trophy wife beauty as the neptune conjunct obviously. This is more of a tough love kind of abuse. That is the kind of love my father showed me & it is how I tend to do things as well. My father was a giant arsehole. Would probably win most emotionally/verbally abusive father award. Runner up at least. But it was either that or my detached, passive aggressive & emotionally neglectful mother who had little control over her 2 young daughters. Issues were quickly swept under the rug & any attempt I made at cleaning it up my mom would just up and walk away & had no interest in ever talking about it again. She would lie to avoid confrontation. There was little to no discipline enforced & it seemed like she was more interested in being friends with us than being a mother.

I am just rambling about my dysfunctional childhood now but my original point is that I don't use my nessus with ill intent. We all have a nessus, that energetic imprint isn't going anywhere. But there isn't "good" & "bad" my benevolent planets have probably caused others more pain than my nessus ever could. (Unintentional ofcourse) My nessus just yells mean **** at people. Wounds to the ego heal alot faster & are less painful than those on the heart. Nessus and dejanira are significant asteroids for me currently, like I am trying to balance the unpleasant nature of both and channel it into something positive like justice.

I mention this degree since your asteroids are of that nature and I thought it may be something you'd find helpful here

For instance, I've always felt very connected to the story of goddess Athena. Absolutely loved learning about her and the history of Athens in school. I even used to say that I'd name my daughter Athena if I ever had one! And low & behold... I recently discover that Pallas Athene is *exactly* conjuct my MC and close to my Moon!

I'm sorry. That is no coincidence.

Same with goddess Persephone. I've become deeply fascinated by her story in the last couple of years and enjoy the idea of being the beautiful light (yin) to someone else's sensuous darkness (yang). And guess what?? Persephone is conjuct my ASC & square my Moon! Hades sits in my 8th House along with my Venus. I have 1H Pluto. So the s**t lines up over here.

Probably relates to past/other life memory/energetics in some way. Probably not a direct, literal past life, but when your Expanded self created your Soul, it mixed and matched some memories and energetics from your other, connected Souls, and one of those patterns probably was a Greek lifetime. Could also relate to your interest in astrology as well.

I sometimes pick up on peoples past life influences (again, often it is in a more indirect Expanded self sense, and less a more direct, literal reincarnation sense) when I tune into them more deeply, but I'm not often nudged to do this. And often, when it does happen, it happens more spontaneously, and often relates to someone having been important to my past and/or current path.

But let's put it this way, I certainly wouldn't be surprised by you having a Greek lifetime being a strong part of your Soul, especially considering what you outlined about when you were younger.

Also, I would not be surprised if one of my Expanded self's Souls knew one of your Expanded self's Souls in that Greek lifetime (I'm aware of a few). We actually have a pretty interesting and strong synastric chart comparison, you and I, from what I remember. But even if so, I don't remember, or currently feel/am not consciously aware of any of the specifics.

I do have Apollo conjunct Venus and Sappho conjunct Mars like you... and mine are all in Virgo. I definitely see this play out in my professional career life. Apollo conjunct Venus, 2 degrees away from MC- I am a holistic practitioner and help people with their health goals.

Sappho on Mars is trickier for me, also in Virgo 10th house. Sappho being a more eloquent version of Eros, I am very passionate about what I do, and if I am not passionate, I can't do it. My Moon trines this though, so feeling the passion is a big part of it.

As for asteroids in my chart, I have Eros and BML on Jupiter in the 8th house, and sun is nearby as well. Moon opposes this, and Mars sextiles Jupiter, BML, Eros/trines Moon. Again this highlights my need to be passionate about anything I do. I am all or nothing in life. And if you challenge me, I can be fierce if it's something I truly believe in.

The only asteroid conjunct my ASC is Atlantis, so I don't see that as coloring my personality so much as depicting my past. And on my DSC is Hades. I think this lends itself to the people I choose in my life. I love Scorpios, or Plutonic people. I focus much of myself on purging what is dead and needs to be removed and reinventing myself from what is left. I myself have Scorpio ASC so it makes sense to see that I attract people who will help me on this transformational path through my 7th house.

I also have Tyche, or good luck and fortune, on my Venus. I believe this means when I operate fully from my Venus, or with love and true conviction, good fortune is bestowed upon me.

I'm going to have to look up Atlantis & Tyche now as well.

Hi LovelyAries86, I am not an expert on Orcus but it is a Plutino. The orbit around the Sun of Pluto is mirrored by Orcus and it is named after the Roman god of the death. I have read that in mythology Orcus is the keeper of oaths and promises and he punishes those who break it.

Okay I just looked up my natal Tyche and it's conjuct my Moon & MC! Along with Pallas Athene & Strenia. Holy s**t! Transiting Tyche is currently in my 1st House along with Venus. The universe is sending me my husband now! LOL

Atlantis is in my natal 8th along w/ Hades. Is conjuct Chiron & opposite Saturn. Transiting Atlantis is in my 12th.

It goes a lot deeper than that. I'll outline some of the major stuff.

My Moon is widely conjunct your Asc, your Moon ruler of your MC and your Moon Sign, is opposed my Mercury Sun, where the Sun is my chart ruler and Mercury rules 4 points in Virgo. To have both of our Moons be opposite Signs of both of each other's Sun is a pretty powerful dynamic in and of itself.

Your IC is conjunct my Sun, and as you outlined your Mars Neptune is conjunct my Mercury Sun conjunction and in my 5th. Mars is the ruler of your Sun AND Desc, so it's pretty important. Then your Uranus, ruler of your 5th, is in my 5th closely conjunct my Neptune ruler of my 8th. As you mentioned, my Venus is in your 5th and very closely sextile your Uranus.

Your Venus, ruler of your Asc, Venus and 8th, is very closely trine my Mars and Sun, conjunct my MC, and opposed my Uranus ruler of my Venus and DESC.

Jupiter, ruler of your Saturn and Uranus, is pretty much in my 8th House and closely opposed my Mars Jupiter conjunction where Jupiter rules my 5th and co-rules my 8th. Also generally same sign as my South Node (though just out of reach of being actually conjunct). Your Mercury is in my 8th and closely opposed my Saturn ruler of my Sun and Mercury and co-ruler of my Desc and Venus.

Last but not least, your South Node is conjunct my Pluto, and my Pluto (ruler of my IC) is opposed your Sun/North Node conjunction.

I was wrong/off about the Venus Mars square, but otherwise, yes, I would say this is a rather strong and connected synastric chart comparison. I'm guessing that if we met IRL, there might be some definite sparks.

And that could possibly relate to perhaps some shared Greek past lives?

looking at your chart we would get along well as friends I think! . I have often wondered if we are attracted to certain threads and posts online based on the synastry...

anyway, I would start with one or two asteroids and go in depth. With you, you could start with Venus conjunct Apollo in 8th, Taurus. It's a wide conjunction, so you may not feel this strongly but Venus is your chart ruler so it may be a little stronger than you'd think. Apollo is a healer, connected to medicine, light, and the arts... do you use any of this or find an appreciation for this? I would think these things resonate deeply with you and can be very healing for you as an individual?

But I would also look at your Mars conjunct Sappho, 3rd house Cap simply bcs it's the top of your beautiful kite! You have a strong chart without adding asteroids, especially with Cancer Moon trine Pluto and Jupiter. I feel like this is a real powerhouse for you! And though the asteroids are there, they are not super tight so I think they don't influence your natural chart strengths any additionally. That is to say, I think your chart is very strong and influential without asteroids!
