I was reading though, about facial recognition and location services combined to "check you in" at participating retail outlets to get a customized deal. Personalized marketing. If you are not immune to it, then that's some sinister crap, but a lot of people are waking up and becoming more immune to psychological persuasion.

Are you saying you have access to people's "info" or phone numbers here, if they post on the forums from their phones? *I know you can see where they live thru IP addresses. I'm not asking about that.

Luckily I don't post from my phone or even browse the internet on it really ( i think i only did once and got frustrated with it) , but I'm wondering now... Do mods have access to that info then as well?

You said "scammers", so I assume you mean people scamming on like, say, craigslist or other sites, posting from their phone. Luckily I only use mine for calling and texts to people and the camera on it. But yeah, creepy. & not to mention, like someone said, they are movement trackers all the while. And brain tumor makers.
