US and Israel join forces to bury Palestinian statehood

Trump and Netanyahu are trying to push a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid on the Palestinian people.

Thanks to the lovefest between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, ignoring the Palestinian national leadership seems to be back on the front burner.

During both leaders' first meeting since the new United States administration took office, Trump repeatedly talked about the need for the Israelis and Palestinians to make peace but avoided mentioning the Palestinian leadership.
Apparently fearing the repercussions of Washington's withdrawal of both support for the two-state solution and recognition of the legitimate Palestinian leadership, the US sent CIA chief Mike Pompeo to President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on Tuesday, February 14.
By sending the CIA chief rather than a political figure to visit President Abbas, the US is prioritising security issues - including joint security cooperation with Israelis - over the need to recognise Palestinian political and national aspirations.
Trump also casually walked away from a long-standing US and international consensus on the two-state solution, which has been the foundation of Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
'Been there, tried that'

INSIDE STORY: What happens to global support for two-state solution? (25:31)

The US president's naive comment on the two or one-state solution - saying he "can live with either one" - means Washington is likely to prolong the status quo of occupation.
Ever since the 1967 occupation, the United Nations Security Council has repeatedly expressed the illegality of the occupation, as in the preamble of Resolution 242 "emphasising inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war" (PDF).
By leaving the solution to the parties while, at the same time, politically bypassing the Palestinian leadership, the Trump administration is empowering the Israelis to dictate to the Palestinians any deal they want.
The sheer reality of the Israeli occupation and the absence of any political solution is a reflection of how Israel's current tactics have not been producing any results for decades now.
The problem is that Trump and Netanyahu's warm relationship and the former's withdrawal of support for the two-state solution further weakens the US' ability be an honest broker.
Hoping that Arab leaders will replace Palestinians and agree to make peace with Israel on behalf of Palestinians, is another mistaken proposal. As the saying goes, "been there, tried that".
In the past, Arab leaders as well as Israeli and US leaders have tried to find an alternative leadership for Palestinians and have failed miserably.
For instance, Egypt and Jordan resisted pressures from Israel and the international community on who should represent the Palestinians in the 1970s, and in 1974 the Arab summit recognised the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
Netanyahu and Trump's approach to the issue is pushing the region towards a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid in which the Palestinian majority in the occupied territories is stripped off their political rights while Jewish settlers enjoy full political and national rights.

After the 1967 occupation, Israel tried and failed to bypass the PLO by turning a blind eye to Islamic charities established by Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, and as a result Hamas was born in Gaza.
A similar attempt to undermine the Palestinian leadership took place in the 1980s in rural West Bank with the creation of an alternative to the PLO called the "Village Leagues". This Israeli effort to alter the Palestinian leadership by appointing Palestinian collaborators also failed miserably.
The last time the US tried to bypass the Palestinians, it backfired spectacularly. Former US President George HW Bush - working with Secretary of State James Baker - pushed non-PLO Palestinian leaders to represent their people within a joint Jordanian-Palestinian delegation during the 1991 peace conference in Madrid. In response Israeli and PLO officials reached a secret deal in Oslo without the knowledge of Washington in 1993.
'Permanent apartheid'

Netanyahu's conditions to accept a two-state solution expressed in the Bar Ilan speech in 2009 have now an added element which negates the idea of an independent Palestinian state.
Dropping the commitment to a two-state solution virtually means a permanent presence of Israeli troops within the entire Palestinian territory.
Unless four million Palestinians become avid Zionists overnight, it is unlikely that they will accept and recognise a Jewish state while agreeing to live without the same political rights granted to Jews.
Netanyahu and Trump's approach to the issue is pushing the region towards a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid in which the Palestinian majority in the occupied territories is stripped of their political rights while Jewish settlers enjoy full political and national rights.
The International Criminal Court describes this type of "institutionalised discrimination" as apartheid and sees it as a "crime against humanity".
Moreover, the idea of a "grand deal" that includes Arab countries would similarly fail. Former US peace envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, Martin Indyk referred to the idea as an "outside-in" approach.
OPINION: Israel - An inspiration for Trump
Indyk's proposal includes the idea of President Trump convening the leaders of the four Arab countries, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, along with the Quartet, made up of the European Union, the US, the UN, Russia, to announce "a set of agreed principles that would serve as the terms of reference to direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiation to achieve a two-state solution".
Such a summit would certainly not produce the results that Netanyahu or Trump wants. The 2002 Arab peace plan is very clear that Arabs will only meet and normalise relations with Israel once Israel agrees to withdraw to the 1967 borders.
The Quartet - with the exception of US - would also reject Trump's casual idea of giving up on the two-state solution.
If Trump and Netanyahu's meetings are expected to produce a political breakthrough, they should bear one basic principle in mind: The art of a deal requires that the dealmaker is honest and neutral, and parties in the conflict recognise and involve with each other.
If what we saw in the White House press conference is an indication, this prerequisite doesn't exist in the current US administration.

Report: Trump transition team attempted to block UN settlement resolution

The resolution passed on December 23, 2016, when 14 out of the 15 voting members of the Council voted in favor of the resolution

As the US prepared to abstain from UN security council resolution 2334 in December 2016, the transition team of US President Donald Trump, who was just over a month from taking office, including then planned national security advisor Michael Flynn, worked to block the vote, Foreign Policy reported Friday.
Foreign Policy stated that on the day of the UNSC vote the Trump’s transition team requested the contact info of ambassadors and foreign ministers of countries that are members of the Security Council.
A former State Department official said that the request was ultimately denied, citing a fear that the transition team would harm diplomatic aspirations.
One US official spoke to Foreign Policy stating that Nikki Haley, who Trump had already chosen to serve as the US ambassador to the UN, even attempted to reach Samantha Power. Power, who was at the time US ambassador to the UN, did note take Haley’s call.
Michael Flynn also called multiple country’s ambassadors to the UNSC, in an attempt to persuade them.
The resolution passed on December 23, 2016, when 14 out of the 15 voting members of the Council voted in favor of the resolution, none voted against it, and the United States chose to abstain instead of casting its veto on the initiative.
At the time of the vote Trump came out squarely against it, saying the resolution “should be vetoed.”

Hundreds of Jewish New Yorkers joined the Muslim-Jewish Solidarity March in New York City, Wednesday, to demonstrate their support to all those people affected by the policies of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who held meetings in Washington DC the same day.
Protesters gathered in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station, and then took to the city’s streets, chanting and holding signs and banners demanding the immediate end of the occupation of Palestine, denouncing Islamophobia, and claiming “No Ban, No Wall”.

It is well worth listening to the full speech of Rabbi Jacobowitz at the Mass Jewish Protest in front of the White House, especially for those who fail to differentiate between the evil, extremist Zionists who are more secular than Jewish and the great majority of Jews, especially the religious Jews.

”Contrarian Hungarian ex-communist and scientist Arthur Koestler brought the Khazar hypothesis to a wider audience with The Thirteenth Tribe (1976), in the hope that disproving a common Jewish “racial” identity would end antisemitism. Clearly, that hope has not been fulfilled. Most recently, left-wing Israeli historian Shlomo Sand’s The Invention of the Jewish People took Koestler’s thesis in a direction he had not intended, arguing that because Jews were a religious community descended from converts they do not constitute a nation or need a state of their own. Scientists, however, dismissed the Khazar hypothesis because the genetic evidence did not add up. Until now. In 2012, Israeli researcher Eran Elhaik published a study claiming to prove that Khazar ancestry is the single largest element in the Ashkenazi gene pool. Sand declared himself vindicated, and progressive organs such as Haaretz and The Forward trumpeted the results.

Israel seems finally to have thrown in the towel. A blue-ribbon team of scholars from leading research institutions and museums has just issued a secret report to the government, acknowledging that European Jews are in fact Khazars. (Whether this would result in yet another proposal to revise the words to “Hatikvah” remains to be seen.) At first sight, this would seem to be the worst possible news, given the Prime Minister’s relentless insistence on the need for Palestinian recognition of Israel as a “Jewish state” and the stagnation of the peace talks. But others have underestimated him at their peril. An aide quipped, when life hands you an etrog, you build a sukkah.

Speaking off the record, he explained, “We first thought that admitting we are really Khazars was one way to get around Abbas’s insistence that no Jew can remain in a Palestinian state. Maybe we were grasping at straws. But when he refused to accept that, it forced us to think about more creative solutions. The Ukrainian invitation for the Jews to return was a godsend. Khazaria 2.0?

All Jews who wish to return would be welcomed back without condition as citizens, the more so if they take part in the promised infusion of massive Israeli military assistance, including troops, equipment, and construction of new bases. If the initial transfer works, other West Bank settlers would be encouraged to relocate to Ukraine, as well. After Ukraine, bolstered by this support, reestablishes control over all its territory, the current Autonomous Republic of Crimea would once again become an autonomous Jewish domain. He’s put the ball back in the Palestinians’ court and relieved the pressure from the Americans without actually making any real concessions. Meanwhile, by lining up with the Syrian rebels and Ukraine, as well as Georgia and Azerbaijan, he compensates for the loss of the Turkish alliance and puts pressure on both Assad and Iran. And the new Cypriot-Israeli gas deal props up Ukraine and weakens the economic leverage of both the Russians and the Gulf oil states. Just brilliant.”

Reactions from around the world

Given the confluence of the weekend and the Purim and Saint Patrick’s Day holidays, reporters scrambled to get responses. Reactions from around the world trickled in.

• Members of the YESHA Council of settlers, some of them evidently the worse for wear after too much festival slivovitz, were caught completely off-guard. Always wary of Netanyahu, whom they regard as a slick opportunist rather than reliable ideological ally, they refused to comment until they had further assessed the situation.

Most of the hastily offered reactions fell into the predictable categories.

• Right-wing antisemitic groups pounced on the story as vindication of their conspiracy theories, claiming that this was the culmination of the Jews’ centuries-old plan to avenge the defeat of Khazaria by the Russians in the Middle Ages, a reprise of Israel’s support for Georgia in 2008. “Jews have memories as long as their noses,” one declared.

• From Ramallah, a Fatah spokesman said the offer was a start but did not go nearly far enough toward satisfying Palestinian demands. Holding up an image of a Khazar warrior from an archaeological artifact, he explained:

There is a continuum of conquest and cruelty. It’s very simple, genetics does not lie. We see the results today: the Zionist regime and brutal Occupation Forces are descended from warlike barbarians. Palestinians are descended from peaceful pastoralists, in fact, from the ancient Israelites that you have falsely claimed as your ancestors. Well, yes, but it’s scant satisfaction. I’ve been saying for years that the Jews are descended from Mongol-Tatar Khazars, but it has barely made a dent in the propaganda armor of these Zionist hasbaroid dolts.

• An official of a leading human-rights NGO said:

Evacuating illegal settlements must be a part of any peace deal, but first forcing settlers to leave Palestine and then resettling them in Ukraine may be a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. We’ll see what the ICC has to say about this. And if they think they can be even more trigger-happy in Ukraine than the West Bank, they have another thing coming.

Trump and Netanyahu are trying to push a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid on the Palestinian people.

Thanks to the lovefest between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, ignoring the Palestinian national leadership seems to be back on the front burner.

During both leaders' first meeting since the new United States administration took office, Trump repeatedly talked about the need for the Israelis and Palestinians to make peace but avoided mentioning the Palestinian leadership.
Apparently fearing the repercussions of Washington's withdrawal of both support for the two-state solution and recognition of the legitimate Palestinian leadership, the US sent CIA chief Mike Pompeo to President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on Tuesday, February 14.
By sending the CIA chief rather than a political figure to visit President Abbas, the US is prioritising security issues - including joint security cooperation with Israelis - over the need to recognise Palestinian political and national aspirations.
Trump also casually walked away from a long-standing US and international consensus on the two-state solution, which has been the foundation of Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
'Been there, tried that'

The US president's naive comment on the two or one-state solution - saying he "can live with either one" - means Washington is likely to prolong the status quo of occupation.
Ever since the 1967 occupation, the United Nations Security Council has repeatedly expressed the illegality of the occupation, as in the preamble of Resolution 242 "emphasising inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war" (PDF).
By leaving the solution to the parties while, at the same time, politically bypassing the Palestinian leadership, the Trump administration is empowering the Israelis to dictate to the Palestinians any deal they want.
The sheer reality of the Israeli occupation and the absence of any political solution is a reflection of how Israel's current tactics have not been producing any results for decades now.
The problem is that Trump and Netanyahu's warm relationship and the former's withdrawal of support for the two-state solution further weakens the US' ability be an honest broker.
Hoping that Arab leaders will replace Palestinians and agree to make peace with Israel on behalf of Palestinians, is another mistaken proposal. As the saying goes, "been there, tried that".
In the past, Arab leaders as well as Israeli and US leaders have tried to find an alternative leadership for Palestinians and have failed miserably.
For instance, Egypt and Jordan resisted pressures from Israel and the international community on who should represent the Palestinians in the 1970s, and in 1974 the Arab summit recognised the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
Netanyahu and Trump's approach to the issue is pushing the region towards a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid in which the Palestinian majority in the occupied territories is stripped off their political rights while Jewish settlers enjoy full political and national rights.

After the 1967 occupation, Israel tried and failed to bypass the PLO by turning a blind eye to Islamic charities established by Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, and as a result Hamas was born in Gaza.
A similar attempt to undermine the Palestinian leadership took place in the 1980s in rural West Bank with the creation of an alternative to the PLO called the "Village Leagues". This Israeli effort to alter the Palestinian leadership by appointing Palestinian collaborators also failed miserably.
The last time the US tried to bypass the Palestinians, it backfired spectacularly. Former US President George HW Bush - working with Secretary of State James Baker - pushed non-PLO Palestinian leaders to represent their people within a joint Jordanian-Palestinian delegation during the 1991 peace conference in Madrid. In response Israeli and PLO officials reached a secret deal in Oslo without the knowledge of Washington in 1993.
'Permanent apartheid'

Netanyahu's conditions to accept a two-state solution expressed in the Bar Ilan speech in 2009 have now an added element which negates the idea of an independent Palestinian state.
Dropping the commitment to a two-state solution virtually means a permanent presence of Israeli troops within the entire Palestinian territory.
Unless four million Palestinians become avid Zionists overnight, it is unlikely that they will accept and recognise a Jewish state while agreeing to live without the same political rights granted to Jews.
Netanyahu and Trump's approach to the issue is pushing the region towards a more blatant and legalised form of apartheid in which the Palestinian majority in the occupied territories is stripped of their political rights while Jewish settlers enjoy full political and national rights.
The International Criminal Court describes this type of "institutionalised discrimination" as apartheid and sees it as a "crime against humanity".
Moreover, the idea of a "grand deal" that includes Arab countries would similarly fail. Former US peace envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, Martin Indyk referred to the idea as an "outside-in" approach.
OPINION: Israel - An inspiration for Trump
Indyk's proposal includes the idea of President Trump convening the leaders of the four Arab countries, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, along with the Quartet, made up of the European Union, the US, the UN, Russia, to announce "a set of agreed principles that would serve as the terms of reference to direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiation to achieve a two-state solution".
Such a summit would certainly not produce the results that Netanyahu or Trump wants. The 2002 Arab peace plan is very clear that Arabs will only meet and normalise relations with Israel once Israel agrees to withdraw to the 1967 borders.
The Quartet - with the exception of US - would also reject Trump's casual idea of giving up on the two-state solution.
If Trump and Netanyahu's meetings are expected to produce a political breakthrough, they should bear one basic principle in mind: The art of a deal requires that the dealmaker is honest and neutral, and parties in the conflict recognise and involve with each other.
If what we saw in the White House press conference is an indication, this prerequisite doesn't exist in the current US administration.

As the US prepared to abstain from UN security council resolution 2334 in December 2016, the transition team of US President Donald Trump, who was just over a month from taking office, including then planned national security advisor Michael Flynn, worked to block the vote, Foreign Policy reported Friday.
Foreign Policy stated that on the day of the UNSC vote the Trump’s transition team requested the contact info of ambassadors and foreign ministers of countries that are members of the Security Council.
A former State Department official said that the request was ultimately denied, citing a fear that the transition team would harm diplomatic aspirations.
One US official spoke to Foreign Policy stating that Nikki Haley, who Trump had already chosen to serve as the US ambassador to the UN, even attempted to reach Samantha Power. Power, who was at the time US ambassador to the UN, did note take Haley’s call.
Michael Flynn also called multiple country’s ambassadors to the UNSC, in an attempt to persuade them.
The resolution passed on December 23, 2016, when 14 out of the 15 voting members of the Council voted in favor of the resolution, none voted against it, and the United States chose to abstain instead of casting its veto on the initiative.
At the time of the vote Trump came out squarely against it, saying the resolution “should be vetoed.”

Hardliners are said to be worried that Greenblatt too could become too sympathetic to the Arab position.
Adelson, meanwhile, is said to be incensed by Trump’s failure so far to follow through on his promise to move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and has not donated to any pro-Trump groups since the inauguration.
Trump has not yet ruled out the possibility that the embassy move may still happen, but must decide by June whether to renew the longstanding presidential waiver of Congress’s 1995 decision to relocate the embassy.

An attempt to deflect attention from the impeachment inquiry by goading the base.

In a speech at Notre Dame Law School on Friday, Attorney General William Barr took a break from hassling Rupert Murdoch and running interference on the quickly widening impeachment inquiry into the president to remind this Christian-majority nation that they are the victims of “secularists” and “so-called progressives” and their “campaign to destroy the traditional moral order.”

This was not a call for a collective reckoning about morality. It was, instead, an attack on anyone who exists outside of what he called “Judeo-Christian” values. “This is not decay,” Barr clarified. “It is organized destruction. Secularists, and their allies among the ‘progressives,’ have marshaled all the force of mass communications, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values.”

You may be forgiven for hearing, in Barr’s assault on “progressives” with their unholy control over “mass communications” and “the entertainment industry” and “academia,” the kind of dog whistle that is now audible to not-dogs. You could also be forgiven for noting, as Pema Levy did, that Barr himself actually profited off both the cursed mass communications and entertainment industries before he turned against them. As Levy explains, Barr “served as general counsel at Verizon for eight years, held a paid position on the board of Time Warner for nine, and represented telecoms giant GTE in the 1990s.”

After details of the speech, which was a closed-door event, got out, progressives objected to Barr’s embrace of a broad American theocracy and willingness to blame American ills on the fact that “public agencies—including public schools—are becoming secularized.” In asserting that it’s progressivism, atheism, and secularism to blame for “the wreckage of the family … record levels of depression and mental illness, dispirited young people, soaring suicide rates, increasing numbers of angry and alienated young males, an increase in senseless violence and a deadly drug epidemic,” the nation’s top law enforcement officer was blaming non–Judeo-Christian Americans for social trends for which they are not to blame and also are not even true. Unsurprisingly, his defenders took the wrong lesson from all this. Barr deftly positioned himself as a religious hero performing religious heroism yet again. William McGurn at the Wall Street Journal jumped to blame “the left” and “leftists” for overreacting to Barr’s temperate views:

Even those who strongly disagree with Mr. Barr ought to have found this an invitation for thoughtful and vigorous debate. But rather than engage, some imply there is something unseemly about an attorney general’s even speaking at a Catholic university. Given the hostility that holding such a conversation engenders on campuses today, perhaps America can count itself fortunate it still has a university where this can happen.

See what he did there? In objecting to the attorney general deriding Americans who are not of his religion, “leftists” are attacking Notre Dame and free speech and also campus freedom. The nonreligious hate us, see, and the proof lies in the fact that when the attorney general says they are intentionally destroying American institutions, the nonreligious disagree.

The nation’s top law enforcement officer was blaming non–Judeo-Christian Americans for social trends for which they are not to blame and also that are not even true.

But Barr was only one of three religious warriors with things to say this past weekend. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave a similarly sectarian speech Friday at the American Association of Christian Counselors’ World Conference in Tennessee. Pompeo’s remarks, entitled “On Being a Christian Leader” came with a warning that if non-Christians were to object to his comments, it must mean they cannot tolerate a reasonable debate (see McGurn, above). “I know some people in the media will break out the pitchforks when they hear that I ask God for direction in my work,” Pompeo said. The State Department home page devoted Monday to promoting his speech under the banner “Being a Christian Leader.” The speech was moved off the home page Monday night, ostensibly in response to outrage, but the point had been made. The haters had, in objecting to the State Department’s unitary religiosity, shut down Christian speech again.

Not to be outdone, President Donald Trump himself spoke Saturday at the Value Voters Summit, where he managed to make Barr’s comments sound rather temperate: “On every front, the ultra-left is waging war on the values shared by everyone in this room,” he said. “They are trying to silence and punish the speech of Christians and religious believers of all faiths. You know it better than anyone. They are trying to use the courts to rewrite the laws, undermine democracy and force through an agenda they can’t pass at the ballot box.” In case it wasn’t clear what the secularists were up to, he further explained, “They are trying to hound you from the workplace, expel you from the public square, and weaken the American family, and indoctrinate our children. They resent and disdain faithful Americans who hold fast to our nation’s historic values, and if given the chance, they would use every instrument of government power, including the IRS, to try to shut you down.”

Paul Krugman was not wrong to observe that there was a reason these three people, all at the epicenter of a sprawling national scandal over a shadowy foreign policy dedicated to boosting Trump’s 2020 electoral fortunes, might choose this as their path of deflection:

This outburst of God-talk is surely a response to the way the walls are closing in on Trump, the high likelihood that he will be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. Trump’s response to his predicament has been to ramp up the ugliness in an effort to rally his base. The racism has gotten even more explicit, the paranoia about the deep state more extreme. But who makes up Trump’s base? The usual answer is working-class whites, but a deeper dive into the data suggests that it’s more specific: It’s really evangelical working-class whites who are staying with Trump despite growing evidence of his malfeasance and unsuitability for high office.

In Krugman’s view, this comes down to the “the efforts of Trump’s henchmen to use the specter of secularism to distract people from their boss’s sins.”

Treasure trove’ of Mueller memos shows how Trump has benefited the Russians ‘beyond their wildest expectations’

On Sunday morning, an MSNBC “AM Joy” panel took up the release of a batch of memos from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation that were released on Saturday that shed light on even more connections between aides to the president and Russian officials.

Reviewing the documents obtained by Buzzfeed News, conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin said Russia lucked out with Trump as a presidential candidate.

Asked for comment, Rubin smiled and suggested, “I think what it reminds me is that this whole presidency succeeded for the Russians beyond their wildest expectations.”

“It’s all about the Ukrainians,” she continued. “This is preposterous. We know our entire intelligence community confirmed it’s the Russians. We know that Putin was involved in the decision. It’s the Russians, nevertheless, by setting this bug into the campaign and circulating around to Trump — he is still obsessed with this.”

“He is still doing, in essence, Russia’s bidding by trying to, frankly, discredit the Mueller investigation which pointed to Russia,” she added.

The Russian Interference Delusion, While Ignoring the Real Israeli Interference

American denial is a very strong phenomenon.

The Russian interference delusion is still persisting in US politics and the MSM (Mainstream Media), despite having been shown time and time again to have no basis in reality. All of the Russian hacking of US elections, Russian collusion with Trump and Russian interference in US politics narratives are evidence-free – both before and after the Mueller Report.

The Mueller Report just confirmed what aware and astute observers already found painfully obvious. Hillary Clinton, and the DNC who conspired with her, would prefer to inject the current political climate with a neo-McCarthyite red scare than take responsibility for their corruption and ineptitude.

It’s so much easier for Clinton to defame and blame Putin and his supposed puppets than to admit her scandals and corruption helped get Trump elected.

With Clinton again pulling out the “Russian asset” card, this time on Tulsi Gabbard (a US veteran) and Jill Stein, it is shocking to see just how many Americans buy into the utter nonsense – while ignoring the real interference in US life by a foreign power (Israel). The only sane conclusion seems to be that, sadly, many Americans have a poor grasp on reality. American denial is steering the ship full steam ahead.

Russian Interference Delusion Being Used as Basis for Many Things, e.g. Censorship

Many US ‘opinion leaders’ – such as the DNC and the Left wing of the MSM – are using the Russian interference delusion not just to try to regain the Presidency, but also to change society for the worse.

The Washington Post (owned by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who has become tied at the hip to the US Government and US Military) just published an article entitled Why America needs a hate speech law which calls for yet more censorship due to "hate speech."

"Hate speech" is just an excuse for censorship, however there was a twist this time: we supposedly need even more hate speech laws to protect the American public against … wait for it … the evil Russians who “planted fake stories” that would “go viral.” Hmmm … OK.

So we need to gut the First Amendment (specifically freedom of speech and freedom of the press) to fight the Russians. Use a concocted external enemy to gain more control. Sounds like a page from Tyranny 101. By the way, did you know that the author of that article is Richard Stengel, former State Department official, Time Magazine editor and Atlantic Council distinguished fellow? Yes, another system server.

Whether it’s fake news, hate speech or other deceptive means, free speech is under attack. In a recent survey by the Campaign for Free Speech, 51% of Americans agreed that “The First Amendment goes too far in allowing hate speech in modern America and should be updated to reflect the cultural norms of today.”

The point is that there are already laws on the books for incitement to violence, so there is no need to introduce vague terms like "hate speech" which easily be manipulated to fulfill the censor’s dreams.

But how many people realize this?

The Official Word: No Evidence

The Mueller Report, officially titled Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election released in March 2019, stated this:

“[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

“[T]he evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference.”

“And the investigation did not establish that one Campaign official’s efforts to dilute a portion of the Republican Party platformon providing assistance to Ukraine were undertaken at the behest of candidate Trump or Russia.

“The investigation also did not establish that a meeting between Kislyak and Sessions in September 2016 at Sessions’s Senate office included any more than a passing mention of the presidential campaign. The investigation did not always yield admissible information or testimony, or a complete picture of the activities undertaken by subjects of the investigation.”

The Senate Intel Report On Election Interference (Volume 1), released in July 2019, concluded several times that it simply didn’t have the data or evidence to substantiate the Russian interference claims:

“The Committee has seen no evidence that any votes were changed or that any voting machines were manipulated.”

“Assessments about manipulations of voter registration databases are equally hampered by the absence of data.”

MSM: Conspiracy Theories are Bad – Unless We Propagate Them

In the West, we have seen massive and widespread censorship in recent years, thanks to Big Tech purging alternatives viewpoints from its platforms and the proliferation of political correctness. Part of this censorship purge has included the demonization and targeting of "conspiracy theories."

Ironically, the Russian interference / Russian hacking / Russian collusion fantasy is a wild conspiracy theory itself. The MSM and Big Tech hypocritically still to this day continue to propagate (and support the spread of) the Russian interference delusion. It seems the lesson here is that conspiracy theories are bad – unless the MSM pushes them.

American Denial

At the foundation of the Russian interference delusion is an almost bottomless pit of denial. The denial comes in many forms: denial that Trump could have been fairly elected by Americans, denial that the US routinely interferes in other nations, denial that this US interference is grossly illegal, violent and often involves coups, assassinations and wars, denial that the US actually interfered and interferes in Russia (e.g. by helping Boris Yeltsin get elected), denial that the US (with the weapons it has constructed) is powerful enough to wipe any nation off the face of the Earth, denial that the US democratic and political system is strong enough to survive some outside ‘interference’, denial that Mueller was just as corrupt as the usual Washington politician (he was FBI head during 9/11 so helped in the coverup, and peddled the Iraq WMD lie), and denial of the nation that has actually ‘hacked’ or infiltrated the US in numerous ways: Israel.

The CIA Has Interfered With Over 81 Foreign Elections in the Past Century

Then, there is the individual denial of top politicians, e.g. Clinton’s denial that she lost to Trump due to her corruption and crimes, and Trump’s denial of reality that manifests in his lies, contradictions and self-aggrandizing behavior.

With denial, often comes victimhood, which is a technique to make yourself feel better and avoid responsibility. With denial and victimhood, often comes projection, whereby you accuse others outside of yourself of being or doing things you are being or doing.

In this outstanding interview, journalist Aaron Mate interviews his father Gabor Mate (expert on mental health and addiction) to discuss the psychology of RussiaGate. Here are some key quotes from the interview:

“What does it say about American society that so many people are actually enrolled in believing that [Trump] could be any kind of a savior? What does that say about the divisions and the conflicts and the contradictions and the genuine problems in this culture? And how do we address those issues?

“You can look at that. Or you can say there must be a devil somewhere behind all this, and that devil is a foreign power, and his name is Putin, and his country is Russia. Now you’ve got a simple explanation that doesn’t invite you or necessitate that you explore your own pain and your own fear and your own trauma.”

“[T]he foreign narrative is an easy emotionally easier way to deal with it … We don’t know that [the Russians interfered]. But we don’t know that they didn’t either. Let’s assume that they did. Which is the greater assault on American democracy? The fact that the Russians leaked the document? Or that the American national Democratic leadership deliberately tried to marginalize one of their own candidates?”

“So given the line supported by Mueller led to the deaths of several hundred thousand Iraqi people and thousands of Americans, and has incurred costs that we all are fully aware of in terms of rise in terrorism and embroilment in multiple wars and situations, it takes an act of powerful historical amnesia for people to believe that this man is going to be our savior.”

“America, if you can judge by its TV shows, is very much addicted to the good guy/bad guy scenario. So that reality is not complex. And it’s not subtle. And it’s not a build up of multiple dynamics, internal and external. But, basically, there’s evil and there’s good. And evil is going to be cut out by the good and destroyed by it. And that’s really how the American narrative very often is presented.

“Now, the same thing is projected into politics. So now if there’s a bad guy called Putin and his puppet called Trump, then there has to be a good guy that is going to save us from it. Some guy on a white charger that’s going to move in here, and is silver haired, patrician looking man who’s going to find the truth and rescue us all, which again is a projection of people’s hopes for truth outside of themselves onto some kind of a benevolent savior figure.”

“So this Russiagate and this ignoble end to the Russiagate narrative, it’s a disillusionment for a lot of people, but that’s a good thing. If they say, okay, I had this illusion, this illusion I no longer have, which means I’ve been disillusioned, now I can actually look at the truth. So it’s good to be disillusioned.”

Israeli Interference: The Biggest Denial of All?

American denial is stark. From one perspective, it beggars belief that US leaders should even have the audacity to accuse another country of interference given the long US history of coups, assasssinations, regime change wars and installations of tinpot dictators. However the biggest denial of all is how Israel controls the US from top to bottom.

AIPAC is the most powerful US lobby; it buys politicians of all colors, stripes and districts; it controls the press to greatly influence whether a particular politician will get elected; it demands politicians sign the pledge (pledging to always work on Israel’s behalf) as Cynthia McKinney revealed; it spies on its supposed ally the US all the time; it extracts more money in foreign aid from the US than any other nation ever has; and it ensures all criticsim of Israel is silenced via the manipulation and weaponization of the definition of anti-semitism.

Israel has totally infiltrated the US. The Israeli dog wags the American tail, but everyone is either in denial or too afraid to talk about it.

Final Thoughts on American Denial

Often it’s easier to indulge in denial rather than face reality. Often it’s easier to play the victim rather than take responsibility. We all do it from time to time. However, there can be disastrous consequences when this becomes a way of life, both on the individual and collective level.

American denial underpins a lot of what what drives US politics. As with anything, accepting the truth and accepting reality are the basis of changing things for the better.

Right-wing NYT columnist does 180 on impeachment and burns Trump to the ground in scathing op-ed

When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went from being the Democratic Party’s most high-ranking impeachment skeptic to favoring an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, one Trump critic who remained an impeachment skeptic and thought Pelosi made a bad decision was New York Times columnist Bret Stephens — who, in a September 25 opinion piece, argued against an impeachment inquiry. But Stephens has since changed his mind, and he is now arguing in favor of impeachment — stressing in his November 22 column that Trump is making the United States look more and more like Ukraine circa 2011/2012.
Donald Trump ought to be impeached and removed from office,” Stephens declares. “This isn’t what I thought two months ago, when the impeachment inquiry began. I argued that the evidence fell short of the standards of a prosecutable criminal act. I also feared impeachment might ultimately help Trump politically, as it had helped Bill Clinton in 1998. That second worry might still prove true.”

Stephens goes on to describe several ways in which he believes the U.S. resembles Ukraine in the Trump era.

“If the congressional testimonies of Marie Yovanovitch, Bill Taylor, Gordon Sondland, Alexander Vindman and especially, Fiona Hill, make anything clear, it’s that the president’s highest crime isn’t what he tried to do to, or with, Ukraine,” Stephens asserts. “It’s that he’s attempting to turn the United States into Ukraine. The judgment Congress has to make is whether the American people should be willing, actively or passively, to go along with it.”

One way in which the Trump-era U.S. is resembling Ukraine, according to Stephens, is “the criminalization of political differences.” The Times columnist explains, “Years before Trump led his followers in ‘lock her up’ chants against Hillary Clinton, then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych did exactly that against his own political rival, Yulia Tymoshenko, who was sentenced to seven years in prison on a variety of byzantine charges after she had narrowly lost the 2010 election. She spent three years in prison before her release during the 2014 Maidan Revolution. Key to Yanukovych’s efforts to discredit Tymoshenko was — who else? — Paul Manafort.”

A second way, Stephens adds, is “the use of political office as a shield against criminal prosecution and as a vehicle for personal and familial enrichment.” Stephens observes, “Why have so many of Ukraine’s oligarchs — including Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky — also served as government ministers? Simple: Because, until recently, it shielded them from criminal prosecution thanks to parliamentary immunity.”

A third U.S./Ukraine similarity, according to Stephens, is “the netherworldization of political life, in which conspiracy theories abound, off-stage figures wield outsized influence, and channels of formal authority are disconnected from the real centers of power.” And a fourth, Stephens adds, is “covert Russian interference, usually facilitated by local actors.”

Stephens writes, “Ukraine offers the world’s most extreme example of this kind of interference — nearby Georgia is a close second — since large parts of the country have been seized outright by Russia and its proxies.” Fiona Hill, Stephens points out, testified on November 21 that the Russian government has gone to great lengths to interfere in U.S. politics.

In the past, Stephens argued that the best way to remove Trump from the White House was to vote him out of office in 2020 — not impeach him. But after the testimony presented in this month’s public impeachment hearings, the Times columnist believes Trump should be removed from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue sooner rather than later.

“It’s to the immense credit of ordinary Ukrainians that, in fighting Russian aggression in the field and fighting for better governance in Kyiv, they have shown themselves worthy of the world’s support,” Stephens emphasizes. “And it’s to the enduring shame of the Republican Party that they have been willing to debase our political standards to the old Ukrainian level just when Ukrainians are trying to rise to our former level. The one way to stop this is to make every effort to remove Trump from office. It shouldn’t have to wait a year.”

Recently, we posted Michael Berg's article,

Ex-Chabad Member Exposes Trump Family Cult

which demonstrated that Trump's family (Kushners) belongs to Chabad, a racist, criminal Jewish supremacist doomsday cult. The very next day Trump commuted the 27-year prison sentence of Chabad kosher butcher, Rabbi Sholom Rubashkin, 57, a GOP donor. He had served only eight years. " Rubashkin, as manager of the family-owned Agriprocessors meat plant ($300 million annual revenue) in Postville, Iowa, was convicted in 2009 of financial fraud for submitting fake invoices to the plant's bank that made the company's finances appear healthier than they were so that it could borrow more. The bankruptcy revealed a $26 million scheme of fraud.

In addition, in one of the nation's largest illegal worker busts, federal authorities raided the plant and detained 389 illegal immigrants in 2008. ICE determined that at the time of their raid, two-thirds of the plant's workers were undocumented. It turned out the company itself was cranking out false social security cards.

There were also 9,311 counts of child labor violations in the indictments, as well as horrific safety violations. Authorities also found a Meth lab.

Plant supervisors in this hell-on-earth were involved in the rape and sexual abuse of workers. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) also documented and filmed what they called the worst animal abuses and extreme cruelty they had ever seen.

The White House statement cited letters of support for review of Rubashkin's case from more than 30 members of Congress of both parties, including House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and veteran Republican Senator Orrin Hatch.

Journalism professor Stephen Bloom was a typical American Jewish liberal who wanted to explore his Jewish roots by joining the Chabad colony in Postville IA. He found that for its most ardent followers, Judaism is about hatred and exploitation of non-Jews. Stephen Bloom has a love of fairness and justice typical of many liberal American Jews. A journalism professor, he saw the opening of a Kosher meat packer by Hasidic Jews in Postville Iowa in 1987 as an opportunity to study the Jewish-gentile dynamic in microcosm.

He discovered more about Judaism and the causes of anti-Semitism than he wanted to know. His conclusion from "Postville: A Clash of Cultures in Heartland America" published in 2000:

"Initially I had gone to Postville to learn from the Hasidim [Orthodox Jews], to share with them a sense of identity and belonging. Instead, what the Postville Hasidim ultimately offered me was a glimpse of the dark side of my own faith, a look at Jewish extremists whose behavior not only made the Postville locals wince, but made me wince, too.”

“I didn’t want to partake in Hasidim’s vision that called on Jews to unite against the goyim and assimilation. The world, even in Iowa, was too bountiful to base my likes and dislikes solely on religion. The word Hasid …literally means ‘the pious one,’ but the Postville Hasidim..were anything but pious. You couldn’t become casual friends with them…They required total submission to their schema of right and wrong, Jew vs. Christian — or you were the enemy.” (291)

In other words, if you’re a Jew but don’t buy their insane hatred, then you’re no better than the goyim. Unfortunately, their attitude typifies organized Jewry as a whole.

ROCKY RIDE

The influx of hundreds of Orthodox Jewish families into a tiny (pop. 1465) Christian farming community in northeast Iowa was rocky from the start. Yes the Jews had a seemingly wholesome family life and pious appearance. But they wanted nothing to do with their Christian neighbors. They were there to make money and the non-Jews, (goyim) whether Postville merchants or migrant workers, were barely distinct from the cattle on their assembly line.

Finally the meatpacking plant, Agriprocessors, filed for bankruptcy in Oct. 2008 after the owner Sholom Rubashkin was arrested for defrauding a bank regarding a $35 million loan. This after the State of Iowa levied $10 million in fines for 9000 violations involving illegal wage deductions and child labor. Then, in June, the company was accused of forging documents for illegal aliens. Four hundred hapless laborers from Guatemala to Palau were arrested and jailed.

When the plant closed, hundreds of workers were left destitute while turkeys languished unfed in trailers outside the plant gates. The town struggled to regain its footing, probably relieved to be rid of this mixed blessing.

In August, a delegation of distinguished rabbis and communal functionaries spent three hours touring the plant, met briefly with local Christian clergy and social activists, and gave the operation a clean bill of health. They found no evidence to suggest that “someone should not buy things from Agriprocessors.”

“A three-hour tour could not uncover the extensive, “egregious” child labor violations that the Iowa state labor commissioner reported… just five days after the rabbis left town. The labor commissioner said he had “never seen anything like it” in his 30 years in the field…” the Jewish Daily Forward wrote in an Editorial August 7.

“Three hours wouldn’t turn up the voluminous evidence of abuse gathered by the Forward when we first broke the Agriprocessors story two years ago. We found compelling indications of sexual harassment, shorted wages, favoritism and bribery in work assignments, inadequate safety training and horrific work accidents in the place we called a ‘Kosher Jungle.’”

IN DENIAL

This editorial suggests that the rabbis were ignoring the precepts of the “Babylonian Talmud.” This reflects the naivety of assimilated Jews about the true nature of the Talmud, which is a central document of Judaism. The Talmud regards Gentiles as cattle and preaches hatred against Christians.

EDUCATION OF AN ASSIMILATED JEW

This is confirmed by the behavior of the Postville Hasidim. Stephen Bloom was put under the tutelage of one “Lazar”, a “model Lubavitcher, a mensch as well as a tzaddik” (wise man.)

“I am a racist,” Lazar told Bloom right off the bat. The Jews have persisted throughout history because “we are better and smarter.” (192)

“Wherever we go, we don’t adapt to the place or the people, Lazar preached…”It’s always been like that and always will be like that. It’s the place and the people who have to adapt to us.”

Bloom reflected: “Lazar’s comment underscored the Hasidim’s contempt for non-Jews, which wasn’t limited to Postville gentiles but to all Christians…Hasidim like Lazar have a total disinterest in anything or anyone who isn’t Jewish…The Hasidim were waging a cultural holy war…Their world was Jew vs. non-Jew…If you didn’t agree, you were at fault, part of the problem. You were paving the way for the ultimate destruction of the Jews, the world’s Chosen People. There was no room for compromise…no room for anything but total and complete submission.” (196-198)

This may explain why Chabad Jews are suspected of complicity in the Holocaust.

This enmity extends to business, which is a form of aggression against gentiles. “I don’t feel like a Jew unless I bargain,” Lazar told him. “A Jew has to feel he got something for the absolute lowest price or he feels rotten.” After reaching a deal with a Gentile, the Hasid boasted of not keeping the terms or taking his time to pay.

Bloom compared it to hunting: “The Hasidim not only [bargained] with alacrity, but enjoyed boasting about the terrain, equipment, first sighting and ultimate kill.” (211)

Bloom relates a particularly shameful incident told by store owner. A Hasid pretended he had paid in advance for some merchandise, grabbed it and ran out of the store.

Despite being shunned by the Rabbis, a Rev Miller organized an ecumenical service with two other clergymen from Postville’s other two churches. No Jews showed up. “Reverend Miller got stiffed,” Bloom writes. (146)

Evidently, tolerance, ecumenicalism, anti-racism, diversity etc. is to weaken and dilute the goyim not the Talmudists.

CONCLUSION

It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that Talmudic behavior is the real cause of Anti-Semitism.

But the implications are far more serious. Meyer Amschel Rothschild was a Talmudist. This satanic hatred of humanity, and Christianity in particular, is driving the New World Order. There is a direct line between the Crucifixion of Christ, who represented the God of Love, 9-11 and the New World Order in terms of the degradation of humanity through war and depression. Like Stephen Bloom and myself, 90% of American Jews are secular and ignorant of the Talmud. We find its views abhorrent. But these attitudes are the hidden agenda of Zionism and organized Jewry. Authorities tie killers in New Jersey attack to fringe group

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — The two killers who stormed a kosher market in Jersey City had apparently been followers of the Black Hebrew Israelites — a fringe group whose members have been known to rail against white people and Jews — and one of them had made anti-Semitic posts online, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation.

he findings stoked suspicions that the rampage Tuesday that left the killers and four victims dead was not a random crime but an anti-Semitic attack, even as state and federal authorities cautioned that the motive was still under investigation.

The FBI on Wednesday searched the Harlem headquarters of the Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ, which is the formal name of the Black Hebrew group, according to the official, who was not authorized to discuss the case publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

“The why and the ideology and the motivation — that's what we're investigating,” New Jersey Attorney General Grewal said Wednesday, adding that authorities are trying to determine whether anyone else was involved.

Others, including Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, pronounced the bloodshed a hate crime against Jews, with Fulop saying surveillance video made it clear that the attackers targeted the Jewish market, slowly and deliberately driving up to the grocery in a stolen rental van and immediately opening fire.

The attackers were identified as David N. Anderson, 47, and Francine Graham, 50 — both of them also prime suspects in the slaying of a livery driver found dead in a car trunk in nearby Bayonne over the weekend, Grewal said.

Anderson used a rifle in the grocery attack. The attorney general wouldn't confirm if Graham also had a weapon when she followed Anderson into the market. Several weapons were recovered from the store.

The victims killed in the store were: Mindel Ferencz, 31, who with her husband owned the grocery; 24-year-old Moshe Deutsch, a rabbinical student from Brooklyn who was shopping there; and store employee Douglas Miguel Rodriguez, 49.

Members of New York's ultra-Orthodox Jewish community gathered Wednesday night for funerals for Ferencz and Deutsch. Thousands of people, mostly men, followed Ferencz's casket through the streets of Brooklyn, hugging and crying.

The bloodshed in the city of 270,000 people across the Hudson River from New York City began at a graveyard, where Detective Joseph Seals, a 40-year-old member of a unit devoted to taking illegal weapons off the street, was gunned down by the assailants, authorities said. They then drove the van about a mile to the kosher market.

The drawn-out gunbattle with police filled the streets with the sound of high-powered rifle fire, as SWAT officers in full tactical gear swarmed the neighborhood. During the shootout, police used an armored vehicle to ram the store entrance.

The prospect of attacks against Jews weighed heavily on the more than 300 people who attended a vigil Wednesday night at a synagogue about a mile from where the shootings took place. In the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history, 11 people were killed in an October 2018 shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. Last April, a gunman opened fire at a synagogue near San Diego, killing a woman and wounding a rabbi and two others.

The kosher grocery is a central fixture in a growing community of Orthodox Jews who have been moving to Jersey City in recent years and settling in what was a mostly black section of Jersey City, causing some resentment.
