Hi Lunargirl,Willard twice had a rectal prolapse. They operated to attach the intestines to the walls inside, so that the rectum does not come out. He was also vomiting and experiencing diarrhea. The operation cleared out possibilities of known pathologies. Now, we just do not know what is happening with him. He cannot talk to us This is all painful to watch. Thank you for the light everyone I wish we knew what is causing these symptoms. My roommate and I are suspecting he ingested poison from somewhere outside. A.

Maybe you could ask Heidi for the name of her animal communicator. Some of those people are highly gifted.Meantime, more light for you and kitty. I've also asked my cat to help send energy and healing to Willard, and Spanky. I believe he agreed, and was pleased I finally asked! Lunargirl IP: Logged |

My heart goes out to you Aphrodite. I know exactly what you are going through as I have been going through the same thing for the last four months and it's only now that Spanky is starting to get better.Have you contacted Heal a Pet? http://www.healapet.com/ Lunargirl hooked me up with them and they are wonderful people. Also, I believe there's another one called the Distance Healing Network. They have all been so helpful in Spanky's recovery. Love and Light to you and Willard, Aphrodite. Heidi IP: Logged |

Aphrodite.....my dog Buddy had a rectal prolapse and had to have surgery a couple of months ago. He couldn't do anything but moan. It was so horrible. But after the anesthetic wore off (about 4 days) he was so much better.....talking, barking, wagging his tail.Willard's inability to communicate could be from the anesthetic. It is hard to say why the prolapse occured, but I know Buddy had violent stomach cramps, rectal bleeding and diarrhea. My suspicion is that he was poisoned by my cruel ex-neighbor. Anyway, the cramps were so violent, that his rectum prolapsed. Part of his treatment was a high fiber food formula, which seems to be doing the trick.....also antibiotics and prednisone. So, have faith, Willard will heal properly. Love P.S. Both healing networks have contributed immensely to Buddy's healing. Both groups are wonderful people. ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGM IP: Logged |

I can't even begin to describe what I would like to do to people that deliberately hurt animals. If I ever caught someone doing it, the result of what I would do to that person would probably put me in jail. I have zero tolerance for anyone causing an animal to suffer!!!Just needed to vent. Heidi....I agree totally. My ex-neighbor gave anti-freeze to my other neighbor's kitty and the reason i know, is that one of the neighborhood teens saw him attempting the evil act. He gave Buddy a piece of meat with ex-lax tablets buried in it.....I intercepted, but Buddy had already eaten some.He hated my dog because he barked when "company" came to either house. Buddy is a good boy and was only doing his job. I am so thankful that the Old Coot moved....the whole neighborhood rejoiced!! I firmly believe that the Old Coot will pay and pay and pay.....you cannot be mean to an innocent animal without paying. sorry....my vent ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGM IP: Logged |

I think that punishment for hurting animals should be the same as for hurting people, even more so because animals don't have as many means of defending themselves as people. And since they are forced to live by our rules, they should also be protected by our laws. sorry, venting too wishing speedy recovery for Willard IP: Logged |

Sadly, it does sound like poisoning. A., the positive side is, recovery with surgery, antibiotics and anti-inflamatorys goes quite well. As it appears you caught it in time, recovery is usually 100%. Does he have a special diet to follow now? People who harm our four leggeds are sub-human. The majority of the animals we take in are poisoned willfully or by abandonment and their scavanging for food. In a farm community, to eat is to die with all the chemicals laying around. Teaching the public about the dangers is the best medicine!! I sincerely believe the karma incurred by harming them is applied 10 fold! Is willard home? He will heal must faster in your loving care juniperb LTD, So happy to hear Buddy is his wonderful good natured elf again {{{hugs}}} for the big boy!! IP: Logged |

Dear All,I spoke with a different Veterinarian yesterday, and she suggested feeding Willard 1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera everyday. This would aid in the healing and soothing of his insides. She also suggested adding a teaspoon of liquid chlorophyll into his water. Animals eat grass to soothe their upset stomach, and to induce vomiting when they are not feeling well. Chlorophyll is a perfect food, and missing only 1 thing. Since he is not willing to eat, we have been putting small bits of food on his fur so he would lick it off. I put the aloe on his paws and it appeared that he liked the sweet, cool and jelly taste. He ate the entire teaspoon. All my love to Buddy and Spanky Aphrodite IP: Logged |
