My period is 3 weeks latevery nauseous vomiting fatigue EXTREMELY bloated (can't even fit my clothes
and appear almost 5 months pregnant) swollen ankles and feet No I haven't had sex in 2 years, I'm not pregnant. Is this some kind of harmone imbalance? IP: Logged |

Marcia, So sorry you are feeling badly....but these symptoms can be very dangerous...swelling, bloating, vomiting..can be very bad for your heart...they can be caused by many things..could be serious or not...but, please seek professional help to be on the safe side. In the meantime, I send you much healing light & love!

I don't want to scare you, but tumors in "that area" can trigger hormone imbalances that mimic prenancy (my Grandmother had uterine cancer in her late-twenties with apparently similar results).It's hopefully not that - and it may very well not be - but I'd definitely see a doc. IP: Logged |

Marcia,
Im the sme way right now. Auntie Flow has not visited since December. Not that I like having her around ... i just get a lil freaked when she doesnt show up on time. I have the feeling of preggers, but I have taken 3 homes tests now, count em 3. All returned neg results ... so as a precaution I am going to have a blood test done (instead of urine) to verify. After that I am off to my gyno for check up.
I never used to have my period on time. I could go for months with out it and sometimes have it 3 times in one month. I was put on BC to help straighten it, but hated the side effects and quit taking them. Eventually I straightened out. I am horrible at keep track of it, but do know that I she arrives at the middle of the month right around the same date. Its only been the last couple years that I can expect her to be on time.
Should I turn up not to be preggers and something else going one, ill fill u in on my findings .... ang-

So I go to the ER today, while I'm waiting I GET MY PERIOD 
Doc said my bloating is from my salt intake and not enough fiber, also I'm aneimic, and I'm just very stressed. My bloodwork is fine.
She told me I must NEVER go off of anti depressants by myself. She put me back on them So I guess I'm ok  IP: Logged |

Marcia, Isnt it crazy how we work like that. Its as if you subconsiuosly tell yourself "kKay im going to the doc to get all fixed up " your body relaxes and boom it happens. Like women trying ot get preggers. As soon as they adopt and or stop trying it happens. Thats great news! I went in to get a blood test done for pregnancy. Came back negative. I went to public health and the nurse said she was particular owrried about the lining building up, and causeing endometriosis or endometrial cancer. So she wants me to come back for another test in 2 weeks (for whatever reason they need to negs to give a hormone shot) So, I have an appt with a OBGYN on the 15th. So ill have some blood work done just to make sure that that this hormone shot is whats needed. I mean I know and realize that something is needed to jump start me. But are those hormone shots safe????? then on the 21 if hormone is whats neede I will got back to public health to get shot. but in the meantime I will also be scheduling an appt with a Shaman Woman my MIL sees to seek help with her. Shes worked wonders on my MIL for migraines shes had her whole life that noone can cure .... that are now gone! .... so thats where im standing now! ang- ------------------

Thanks for the ... I need it.
Comfortable!?!?! well, i have been extremely emotional lately. I could cry ove the slightest lil things (which is odd for me, ive always been emotional, like wathcing movies and such, but never like this) I feel like i have highs and lows. On top of dealing (more or lesswondering) with all this, I have my sisters two kids staying with me, a new dog and a boyfriend whos outta town working. I feel buried. But ill may due.
I do feel bloated, no cramps or nothing. I keep hoping it will just happen so I dont have to do the hormone shot. but then again I am dreading Three months worth! ya know! I dont know why but I have a feeling I shouldnt take the shot. ???? I dont know why. Anyone know anything about these shots???? Otherwise, I dont feel to bad. Well, mine still has not reared her ugly head. I had my appt with my OBGYN and upon examination they found that my left ovarie is larger than my right and tender. They dont know whether this is normal or not. And I myself dont recall fro mother pap's any doctor ever saying anything. So I go back in for a sonogram next week. He did perscribe progesterone, more or less to test and see if I still do function. Cause like he said if the put me on that to get my period and keep giving me hormones that doesnt fix the problem or tell us why. it just makes the period happen. my boyfriend is proly a happy camper knowing he isnt gonan be around for all this. lol ... all those hormones flowing thru me! LMAO ...
I did have some blood work done, no results yet, but he was concerned about thyroid disorders ( my mom has a history + the fact that I am now over wieght in my height /weight ration which before I was always below average on thier charts) and also cholesterol while Im there (cause my dad has history) there was one more too, oh diabetes ... just in case. So well see what happens.... I dont think it was or is stress related cause I havent any, that I can feel....
im so glad you had yours and it was stress related. I really hate going thru all the mess of doctors appts constantly. but its somethign that needs to be taken care of! ...

Marcia, first, sorry for taking over this thread... just kinda quinkydink that we both had the same thing going on at the same time. to a point, as you found out yours was stress. Well I've found out that it is not stress related. Well maybe a lil of it is and that may have triggered this to happen. But, come ot find out after doing a ultrasound is that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I really havent read alot on it yet. But from what I gather its cause by an imbalance of hormones. The egg matures but is never released. So it sits in the ovary and becomes a cyst. My ovaries were covered. Which cause him to raise the question of previous irregularities with my cycle. I had always had an irregular cycle since day one. They put me on b.c to regulate it back when and it never straightened out. So i quit taking them. Its only been the last 5 years or so that It had been straight and on time. So he believes because of the amount and size of these cysts that I have had it for years. And "something" triggered it to stop again. Which had now made me aware of the problem. Other things tied with it, is cholesterol (mine is bad @ 25yrs) weight gain (which I have gained 30 in the last year) and hair growth (facial and body - thank god this hasnt happened to me)infertility (due to anovulation), can lead into Diabetes due to insulin resistance, and jsut recently its been linked with Heart Disease and also could lead to Endometrial Cancer(due to not shedding every month) or Ovarian Cancer. They have put me back on B.C. to get the hormones back into my sysytem. They havent any clue what causes this "syndrome" ... its been around for 75+ years and no cure. They used to call it a disease, but changed it to syndrome because not everyone experiences symptoms let alone all of them. ???? sounds like the best way to control this is to eat a proper diet (which will be different from the normal diet, from what I am reading the calorie intake and carb intake will be considerably less than the normal person) and exercise ( dailoy, brisk walks or running/cycling would do the trick for burning calories and maintaining the ideal wieght. So i have yet again another doc appt for cholesteral and I decided that I will also see a Shamanic Healer ..... I always had a feeling I would never have kids. Something just told me I wouldnt. i feel its karma (infertility) I remember haveing a past life reading done (after my feelings of not having kids) , and it talked about how I have karma to deal with in having children and that most likey I will not have them due to that karma. I was diagnosed with PID (pelvic inflammatory disease when I was 14 - no Chlamydia or Gonorrhea - which is what they say causes PID) and I found out two years ago by doing a full body xray for work comp claim that I have a defect in the tail of my spine that in all probabilities would complicate a pregnancy, and now this PCOS leads to infertility. So hopefully this is something that her and I can work on together and try to solve so I may move on. I'll update more later....
