P.S. In the short-run it is MUCH more important to consume organic dairy and eggs. I say this cause buying 100% organic is expensive, so if you are gonna try to save money then buy normal veggies and organic animal products.IP: Logged |

Ohhhhh, beebuddy. I really want to try it, but it's going to take so much will-power! I work in a pizza restaurant, so I'll be around all the "good" stuff regardless. Yikes!I want to do this. I just have to pick a start date. Thanks a bunch for all your input! IP: Logged |

In all seriousness... don't push it. Wait until it becomes too bad to ignore, but don't fake it. When you really want to do it there will be a 100% success rate. Pushing it and forcing it isn't gonna work.IP: Logged |

Future,Maybe a better way to say that is, "wait until you are ready to give it 100%" that way you won't fail. IP: Logged |

FU, yes, your thyroid is fine if that's your reading. However, if you have a candida problem, the only way to battle it is extremely aggressively. This does indeed mean eliminating all sugars and most flours, as well as mushrooms (mushrooms are a fungus, as is candida) and a few other things. Even dairy can aggrevate candida when it is systemic. You do not necessarily have to have a vaginal yeast infection to have a systemic candida problem, but often women do. They are very hard to cure, and most people experience what's called the "die off" before starting to feel well. During the "die off," which lasts a few days to perhaps a week or so, symptoms become somewhat worse. This is good news, because you then know it's working. Antibiotics will not help. They will only make things worse. I would urge you to do a google search to read more about candida. There are many products you can try, some of which are more expensive than others. I'm not sure the cost is important; it's best to check your local health food store. Ask them what they recommend. However, nothing will help you until you change your diet. Eat sprouted grain breads instead of anything made with flour. Completely eliminate all sugars, including honey, etc. Consume garlic every day. It needs to be raw, or close to it. (I can give you suggestions on how to consume it.) If you have a vaginal yeast infection, while you are detoxing, you can make a garlic suppository. I will gladly tell you how to do this if you decide to aggressively pursue good health. And you know, the choice between wellness and illness is yours. Conventional doctors will not be able to help you heal a systemic candida problem. Best of luck.

Thanks again, Trillian and beebuddy.I value your advice because, I, too, feel that the medical field is too quick to shove pills down our throats and alleviate symptoms in exchange for actual healing. I haven't started yet and I suppose it will take me some time... the change will be huge and I need to figure out how to incorporate that into my life. I have been doing research, though, and it's worth a shot to see if this may be the cause of my problems. Thanks again! IP: Logged |

A thought For U, F-U.Doctors are the only people legally authorized to make a diagnosis. But you do not have to take their advice or medication if you choose not to. I would recommend that you DO get a professional diagnosis, then YOU can choose how to treat your condition, with some assurance that you ARE treating the right problem. And bear in mind it may be someting serious which you have not considered. IP: Logged |

Well, I'm off to have my cervix butchered here in a little bit.Okay, I'm overreacting... it's a coloscopy. But I'm having a surprisingly tough time with it emotionally. Last night I cried. (No, it's not even PMS... weird.) Any other part of my body would be okay with me. To me this feels invasive. Thanks, peajie, for your words. I missed your post the first time. I'm hoping I may get some answers today; I'll be seeing a different doctor. IP: Logged |

I was just going to ask what happened. I'm glad the procedure wasn't too bad. IP: Logged |
