i've followed many of your posts about dr. shulze and herbdoc.com. i visited the website a while ago and have it bookmarked for the time that i have some budget surplus.

you've stated also that you make your own tinctures and herbal concoctions. my question for you.....

can you direct me to a good organic herb source, one that carries a wide range of different herbs?

i'd like to start making some tinctures and teas, and whenever i think of it, i recall all the reasons you've posted about the necessity of organic, good quality herbs. i'd trust a reference from you.

i've been perusing the following site, and it seems to have some good remedies:

mothernature.com

(this page has a long list of herbal healing information on the side of the page if you scroll down a bit)

what do you think?

also, do you make tinctures with glycerine or with alcohol? i'm considering glycerine, and wondering if there's a difference.

thanks so much ~*~ Saffron

Sorry to butt in Saffron, but I have a couple of places to recommend.
Frontier Coop ~ http://www.frontiercoop.com
Mountain Rose Herbs ~ http://mountainroseherbs.com/

I haven't ordered anything in a while, but would like to, soon ~ I'm also interested in making my own tinctures, as well as powdered mixtures.

Anyway, butting back out.

Good Morning Saffron

I just rose to find the news in London. *sigh*

I do have an excellent source for organic and wild harvested herbs, which I will pass on to you as soon as I find it. I keep their mailing list at work, and I am not going back into the office till next week. Their prices are very fair.

I will peek at your link, and those posted by Teaselbaby later today. This morning I have some errands to run; I signed on to check the news, and on some friends overseas.

Also, I will be happy to send you some info on the Female Formula that I make and use; I couldn't live without it. I promised to send the info about it to angel_of_hope weeks ago and haven't yet (apologies, I will get it out next week), and it would be no problem to send to you, too. If you would just like the recipe (it's the exact recipe that Dr. Schulze uses), i can simply email that to you.

Dr. Schulze allowed Sam Biser to print the recipe for Female Formula in his book _Curing With Cayenne_. You might be able to find it used on Amazone or www.half.com. It's a wonderful book. Personally, I wouldn't want to live w/o my female formula.
The book also has good advice on how to make the tinctures.

I use alcohol for my tinctures, on the advice of Dr. Schulze. With alcohol, they have a shelf life of forever. He says by the cheapest vodka you can find, and use that. He also says that the minimal amount you use will not have much of an affect.
Also, here is one of Dr. Schulze's most important rules: Make your tincture on the new moon, harvest on the full moon.
It should be allowed to sit and stew for at least that period of time; I usually let mine go longer to become stronger.

I must go for now, but I will write more soon. I am not an expert, but whatever knowledge I have, I am happy to share. I also have a book, _Ancient Cleansing Formulas_, that includes more information on Dr. Schulze's formulas, as well as those from his mentor, Dr. Christopher.

Oh hey, I found it! Pacific Botanicals is the name of the place. It was recommended in Sam Biser's book. Here is their address and phone number: 4350 Fish Hatchery Road, Grants Pass, OR 97527. (541)-479-7777. I enjoy dealing with them, and if you call they will send you a brochure.

I agree that Dr. S's Female Formula can be expensive if you buy it from him, which is why I make my own. As soon as I can, I will include some excerpts about the formula and what it does for our bodies.

Hedgewitch, I love your new nick! Is there a story that accompanies it?

I found Sam Biser's book used on Amazon.com, for as little as $7.50. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0 006FDVH8/qid=1120841451/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-2526128-1580746?v=glance&s=books

If you have that little bit of cash, I highly recommend it. It contains an absolute wealth of knowledge, most of it originally from Dr. Schulze. It includes a chapter about the Female Formula, and how to make it. Hedgewitch, I think you would like this book very much. Like Dr. S, and Dr. Christopher, Sam Biser wants to help people save themselves and heal themselves. This requires work and knowledge, and the knowledge in this book is definitely unorthodox. This book goes beyond what we like to think of as the health food movement.

Cayenne is a miracle; but again, I am talking about organic, really hot cayenne. It cleans the arteries, stops bleeding in open wounds (painlessly), halts strokes and heart attacks, and makes every tincture more powerful. In the morning, I put my Female Formula in a fruit smoothie, in which I also put a nice big pinch of powdered Cayenne.

It's easy to make a Cayenne tincture, though. Buy fresh Habanero Peppers, organic if possible. And if possible, do a web search for the really hot ones. On the new moon, put the Peppers in a blender with the Vodka (enough to cover them), dump all that in a glass container and put it in the dark till the full moon. Then carefully strain the peppers (don't let your hands or skin touch this stuff w/o protective gloves), throw them away, and voila! You have a tincture! You can leave it through more than one full moon for a stronger tincture.

But please feel free to email me, and I will share with you all you want to know about it!

Let me say that Sam and Dr. S are not talking about the Cayenne you get in a grocery store. I get my powdered cayenne from Pacific Botanicals, and it's still not the hottest you can find! I think the one I have is 100,000 heat units, but you can find even higher than 250,000 heat units. The stuff in the grocery store is pathetic in comparison.

Hedgewitch, the more I think about it, the more I think you should have a copy of this book (I think everyone should have a copy of this book!). If you don't have the extra funds for it right now (children are expensive!), I would love to order one for you as a gift. My reasons are selfish: I would love to discuss the book with you!

The closest thing I have to a hobby in this life is collecting books on alternative healing. I have never found anyone who equals the works done by Dr. S, Dr. Christopher and Sam Biser, who spent years traveling the country looking for men who could truly offer alternative healing methods.

So please take me up on my offer, I think you would love this book, or at the very least, find its information interesting.

Before closing this post (and coming back to this subject later), let me pass on a few things in this book about the Female Formula. I don't believe any woman needs horse pee in her body for any reason! Estrogen is made from horse pee, and this is what we give women who are menopausal. Not only are those horses treated incredibly horribly, the estrogen will cause cancer in women who take it.
It may not be pretty, but this is how we get estrogen:
Horses are impregnated in stalls, unable to move. They are catheterized to remove their pee. If their baby is female, she's locked in a stall next to mom and impregnated as soon as possible and the process continues.

I'm not making this stuff up. Anyone who wants to take estrogen, the most well known is under the name Premarin, only has to read the list of side effects to know that it's nasty stuff.

With the female formula, and some other alternative practices, estrogen would never be necessary.

Okay, gonna step off my soap box for now...more soon.

wow Trillian, thank you, o' wise and kind one!

i bought some herbs the other day, bulk, from my local health food market...and i cringed that they weren't organic, but i needed them for a healing tincure/tea for my little man.

he's coughing and sneezing in very low-grade sort of way...not really a cold, but he's not his robust self either...it seems to linger.

so i add some ginger powder to his bath -- when he'll take one -- and i'm trying a tincture from the website i posted above, with echinacea root, licorice root and goldenseal.

i'm learning a whole new respect for herbs.

Hedgewitch , I am only an egg.

I'm so sorry to hear about your wee one, and I hope he is well soon. Don't fret about the lack of organics; they're hard to come by sometims and we've all gone without. You're doing so much for him and that's wonderful!

I will make time to visit that website, thank you.

Much light for your son, please keep us posted.

Herb Almanac

It has an extensive data base. It is a commercial site, and the reviews are short. The over all outlook seems gear toward hollistic, yet pills are abundant.

I use it as a reference, and a guide to further reseach. I usually check many sources, look for opposition and cooperation. The high paid specialist wants to sell you something, the disciple of health wants you to be educated.

shamanistic - thats about right
I don't know much, i try to use my
body as tool for messuring/testing/sensing
I even have even eaten a piece of Aloe Vera!

I have been experimenting with passionflower
and tea tree oil. A friend of mine has some mint. I chewed on a leaf. I am willing to get into more. Honestly, I would love to get with my grandmother or freind and learn how to tend an herb garden.

I am no expert, but with the power of the web and an inquisitive mind, i can conquer subjects of interest when I get around to it that is.

Well said, trilioth. I hope you'll share more of your knowledge with us.

Hedgewitch, how is the babe today? I sense that you two adore each other, and are also a great joy and comfort to each other. He is a little old soul, is he not?

hey trillioth ~~ maybe we could start an herb garden growing club in LL. let's start simple with a few container herbs...indoors to begin, i'd suggest, so that everyone around the world can grow the same items. we'll track and share our progress. want to?

(for some reason i can't post anything very long, and i've been trying to post this for ages...one more time...)

trillian ~~ you are a special lady.
you have tapped into our spirits in the most curious way. only when you phrase it as you did...'he is a little old soul' did i see it...but yes ma'am, he most certainly is! not that that's any more 'enlightened' than being brand new, which for awhile i thought he might be...when he was younger and not yet talking...thinking he might be a 'crystal child' -- if you're familiar with indigo children, they're similar. don't know, however, where i stand with all that these days.

if you'll read the 'kids' thread in FFA you'll see some more about us.

and, ok, i'm not much into dream interpretation and astral travel and all that -- i don't have much knowledge or experience in those areas, although i do think i've astral travelled a few times with others who've literally held my hand.

but, i think my son and i visited you in a dream recently! the dream is foggy and growing dim, but you were driving with us in my car and we arrived at your house. we pulled into your driveway -- in the back of your house -- with a two car garage in front of us and another on our left; they made an L-shape. you opened the garage door in front of us -- the one on the left side -- and went inside while we waited in the car for you. it was running. inside this garage was no car but a single white chicken walking around (?)

then, the garage door to the left of our car opened and you came out and asked us to come on into your house. in this garage was a car...a very shiny and luxury white lexus sedan...i was thinking my, this lady is very sophisticated!

we entered and sat on an elegant sofa to our left. to the right was a long gallery type kitchen with low shelves stretching a long way down the entire wall. on these shelves was an impressive collection of artistic artifacts ~~ egyptian statues, african masks...and i was thinking, again, 'she's so beyond us, in many ways, including esoterically and metaphysically; she's so for real and i'm so out of my depth with this person. your surroundings seemed utterly refined and sophisticated, and i was honored that you had invited us in. as we sat there you were not present, but in another part of the house.

you soon re-entered and introduced to us your newest family member -- the sweetest, softest little black puppy! my son was delighted and i held the pup in my lap, as he was excited and wriggly, but very young and thinking my fingers were suitable for suckling...

and it fades away after that...

sorry to include so much detail, but i'm not sure what's signifigant here...the main thing is, i think, that you invited us into your house. hmmm...what do you think? did we astral travel to see you perhaps? remember, you were in the car with us when we arrived at your house, so you might have brought us there.

i don't know...perhaps it's just a silly notion i have...but still -- i think a person's house is supposed to be signifigant in dreams.

also, i don't know whether this is a factor, but i did live in pittsburgh at one time, and it was a very intense place -- part of the country -- for me to be. karmic, i think. and very far away from whence i hailed, never having lived or travelled much in any other states.

well, i hope you didn't mind reading my exposition too much...i try not to indulge so much in solipsism, but having big chunks of aries in me, that may be redundant...

i've wanted to ask you how your veggie festival went, if you had listened to the 'sean nos nua' album, about your lovely wood floors -- how they turned out -- and all the other fascinating stuff you mention, but i've let it slip by me lately...

time just seems on an alternate path of its own lately, in a reality it appears i'm quite unfamiliar with....sigh.

bright blessings, dear one

Hedgewitch... I will reply to this later, as you've given me a lot to think about. Shall I copy your dream for Ra to take a peek at?

How is your little Leo today? I read through the kids thread...I hadn't realized how much you and I have in common astrologically...

sounds like a wonderful idea hedgewitch
i am very interested in the idea

that is if this ego does't start acting up on me again

I will ask for enough time to get involved also, it may be best if we take this thing
slow allowing others to join in at leasure
as well as get used to a personal schedule.

Perhaps we should start a new topic. Shall this be in "Gia's Garden" or "Health and Healing".

I am looking forward to doing herbs and the like in the direction of health and healing, food being secondary, then maybe decorative plants to follow in time. The idea for potting indoors is wonderful on both points--mine being that I don't have the space for ground work.

trillioth ~ i'd suggest starting a thread in this forum -- i don't get to gaia's garden as often. and i'd like to highlight the metaphysical and healing properties of herbs as well -- as you stated...so i think this might be a good place, or health and healing. i'd probably begin by growing 2 herb plants...i need to start slow, in order to follow through. i'd love to have herbs growing in my kitchen!

hi Trillian ~ please do show my dream to ra if you're interested...

i think my babe came to assist me in my earth endeavors. i had many dreams of him while still pregnant in which he was guiding me -- talking to me. and we both are birth number 8s, numeroligically speaking. i suppose that's big karma in and of itself.

love to you...Hedgewitch

i have the book!

1st thing on my list today was to find some really hot cayenne...my natural foods market didn't have any powder...so bought a cayenne tincture...

this stuff is so amazing that i need to have it at home, in my handbag, in my car?.....

i've flipped through the book, and i can understand your enthusiasm...please tell me more about how you use your cayenne. i suppose i'll order some of the organic stuff, and perhaps grow some, in my new herb garden.

also, wondering if this would be appropriate info for sheaa's pancreatic cancer thread?

thanks again dear lady.

Hi HW! So glad you got the book, and I'm eager to hear more of what you think.

I've been busy this week and haven't had a chance to look at Sheaa's post, but I will.

I haven't much time right now but will write to you more in depth tomorrow.

Hello HW,
How are you dear lady?

I feel I've been negligent with this thread. I finally posted your dream for Ra to peek at when he has time after returning from his vacation. I've thought about your dream, and I wish I were better at interpreting them in general. There is so much symbolism in the one you described, and I'm clueless about a lot of it. The chicken? Love the image, have no clue what it might mean!

Now, as far as the puppy and the suckling in the dream, are you thinking of having another child? That's only a guess...

My home doesn't look like what you described, but it sounds beautiful, and wouldn't mind! But I don't think that's the point of your dream, you're trying to tell yourself something. And I am not beyond you and your son or anyone else! I am only and egg and am honored to know you, HW.
If I invited you to my home on an astral level, it's because you are welcome in my life.

I did remember that you were in Pittsburgh for a time, and not so very far from me. It's fascinating and I look forward to Ra's objective insights.

Thank you for the offer of the CD, that's so nice of you. But I've ordered it already (though it hasn't yet arrived).

I'm looking forward to your reactions to the Cayenne book. For a while I did carry cayenne with me everywhere, but I'm afraid I don't anymore. I probably should start again. I once used the powder on an icky cut on a finger. It stung the skin around it, but it was not painful on the actual wound. And it healed very well.

I do think you and your babe have a lot of karma together, and I think you will be in awe of him as he grows. I've read only a little on the indigo and crystal children; not enough to make comment. But there are some very special spirits who join us on earth and I wouldn't be surprised if he were one.

Thanks for reminding me about Sheaa. I called her over the weekend and we talked about some natural healing methods. Unfortunately, I don't think her family puts much faith in them. *sigh*

More soon sweet lady...

trillian ~

wow! mighty stuff that cayenne! wow! i need to continue with the book, but i'm just in awe, the more i read!

i can't stay long, but i had to mention it...i tried a bit of the tincture on my tongue last night, like he suggests in the book...and then a dropperful...and i took many droppersful today, as i had a very busy and stressful day...amazing...

my heart beats too fast at times...i think from a little anemia i might have...and the cayenne made me so much more calm, and energized at the same time.

what a precious gift you've given me trillian!
