Over the past few years i have searched for a good guide to crystals. I'm not that educated in crystals to know them by just their names - i need pictures. So this last weekend i was with a girl friend, Lisa, in town helping her daughter sell Girl Scout Cookies. Lisa's friend owns a store in the Mall called Rainbow Earth. Awesome, awesome store. I looked around for over an hour and a half, pacing back and forth thru the store taking in everything. The owner Sherri asked if i would assist her and have a crystal reading done by her. She's in the process of creating a "take home crystal reading package", a beginner's crystal reading how-to if you will, anywho, I gladly accept the mission. So i was told to think or speak a question i have on my mind - personally related (meaning i couldnt ask if aliens have ever visited earth, lol) So i decide to think my question. I was then told to draw three crystals from this lil black and purple velvet bag. I stick my hand in and find the ones that are drawn to me, i knew which ones to grab, they were instantly cold underneath my hand. She then interprets my crystals, past, present and future, with a very accurate and informative reading i might add. When she is done she hands me this book called "The Crystal Bible, by Judy Hall" and says that if i like i can look thru there for a more in depth description of each stone. I flipped it open and THERE WERE PICTURES OF EACH STONE!!!! I was so excited. I knew i must have that book. So we began chatting about the book and how she too loves the fact that there are pictures. She also recommeded a book for more advanced individuals called Love Is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals, by Melody. She says advanced, because that book doesnt have pictures. So in the end i bought that book, and wrote down the other title for a future buy. IP: Logged |

Aww, thanks 26!!! I too have been thinking about you!! As well as many people here in LL. I havent been online much lately at all (which is really surprising for me) work has been terribly slow. I've been laid off since January, collecting unemployment. I've still got my job, but the work season is just not picking up. I work for my father in the construction industy (although not in the field, im strictly office) and the work just has not picked up here - so its slow all around. And since my computer at home bit the dust, i dont have and opportunity to get online - unless im at work. (like this morning) Instead my time is spent cleaning my house over and over and over. lol. With mo money to go out and do anything my whole day comsumes of busy work - trying to keep myself busy.Once i really become framiliarized with the crystal names and such - i will purchase the book by Melody. I talked with a few people the other day who also enjoy Melodys book, but also agree that pictures would help. lol.

salome I received your package yesterday. I love it! Wow ... that book is just FULL of all sorts of info. Looking at it, im glad i have my other to cross reference ... definatly a book for the more advanced crystal users. The crystals you included are beautiful and full of great energy - thanks again!! Harmony also has designed a deck of crystal tarot cards that corresponds with her book.   The Love is in the Earth Crystal Tarot is from Melody, author of the Love is in the Earth book series, and takes a Thoth foundation and overlays a New Age theme.
