Hi guys
Anybody know if there is a crystal that deals with insomnia? It's for my SO who's had chronic insomnia for decades. We'll try anything...
Thanks

Hi WOC ~

Please check out this thread to see if it's something your S/O might be interested in trying.

As for the crystals, I'd have to check some of my lists, but right now I'm not aware of any rocks that knock you out *without* being tossed at your head

Insomnia usually has physical or mental origins -- have you done the doctor-thing??
Is there something he is worried/fretting about?? Melatonin won't cure that -- only a change of perspective will -- but at least melatonin will give him a chance at a good nights sleep.....

I had amethyst under my pillow the other night and I *didn't* sleep well, so personally I'm dumping the idea of crystals as sleep-aids... lol.

But you could diffuse frankincense oil, as it is very deeply relaxing.

I have never been a good sleeper and I have had my purple plate for 20 years and I pulled it out and put it under my pillow and it has helped - I could feel the "good energy" flow and I drifted off all night.

I know for some the plates are too much energy......so it's worth a try....

love and a peaceful sleep!

Hello Zala.
Thanks for your reply. He is always reluctant to go to the doctor, and since I am newer in his life than the insomnia I feel that I can't push the issue. He's had it since he was 17/18 and is now 45. He says he's not actively worried about anything and it just the way it is, it seems to be a 'habit' with him, that he can't break. I think his Gran influenced things as he lived with her in his late teenage years - she didn't sleep much and I think the pattern was established then. I don't think he helps himself much as he has a dependence on listening to Radio 4 in bed..... I think this overstimulates him mentally (my personal opinion - he disagrees). However, he is a Lion so you can understand that I, as a relative newbie peasant in his life (3 yrs) cannot possibly know better than He.

I thought a crystal would be something neutral he would accept as he is very open to these things, but not so much to being 'told what to do'! Thanks for the suggestion of melatonin, I will certainly tell him about it. Hello Gemini and Pixie. Thanks very much for the info about frankincense and purple plates - I am going to investigate both. Thanks!

Thank god I wear earplugs and don't hear much...our relationship would not have survived as I am a regular bear if I don't get my 13 hours. The man is up and down all night like a hoor's drawers if you'll pardon the French.
