I've had a massage twice, once from an intern. She did good...I knew she was an Aquarius cause we would talk. I did filling in a chiropractor place for a few months.
She used oils too it was nice.

Then for my 20th birthday I booked a massage. So I would not have to spend it with my ex boy and be treated like crap. That was okay...I was a little late cause I was coming straight from work. She was kind of too rough...lol

AND I have been trying to book a spa day...never been to one. I had no idea how difficult it is to book a spa appointment. I thought I was doing good, by trying to book a Monday appointment on a Saturday. NOPE! Apparently many spas by me, don't hire a person to do the phones...and it makes sense to be completely booked and to busy to answer phones on Saturdays. I spent hours yesterday...trying to look up spas that where open on Mondays...and a place that I could call and get a hold of...
one message I got told me to book an appointment online...well I tried to do that and it took me to this page, that did not make any sense...
So I tried to ask my mom for help...she was no help at all...I was talking to wall. I was like "I'm asking for your help! Not your opinion!" I come from a family that doesn't like the finer things, or do or go anywhere nice. (lack of Taurus in parents chart? and possibly house 2? lol)
I don't get why she was talking so down to me, it's NOT like I was asking her to pay for it! I got my own!
And my mom was all like "I'd rather spend that money on feeding my family" then later I was like wait a minute...you haven't spent food on me in years! I didn't live here for a while and when I moved back I started buying my own! Plus she only buys food for your self! All she pretty much buys is pb, bread, coffee. She really only goes shopping if she runs out of those things. (I don't get why she is the way she is! She is a psychical therapist for Pete's sake!) (must be the whole being in a family of 6, and starting on her own with pretty much absolutely nothing, to get to where she is today. Oh yes she is a Cap moon. lol)

Anyways I gave up on that place, and called another spa that would actually let me leave a message.
They called back this morning...and they where all booked Monday. REALLY!!!!!!!!?

There is one more place I am going to try that is open Monday and I am going to attempt to call them Monday morning.

And I have been so on edge for 5 days...I seriously don't see how I can go back to work Tuesday...and not go ape sh!t on grown ups and kids.

If I can't get to a spa...I think I am going to go to a shooting range with with dad. LOL

Has anyone ever tried freelance massage? From someone on craigslist perhaps? I sure you'll find cheaper options.

most therapists offer specials from time to time. and most therapists are well flexible - personally i hate to see someone go without for the sake of money, though i have to eat so i have a VERY wide "sliding scale"...those who can afford to those who can't...

LEXX, massage has been shown by many many studies to help heal tissue in so many ways...and with your spinal issues it would be a real boon to you! maybe you can find a friend to rub you up the right way, it doesn't have to be a professional though those with more experience tend to be better, it is the rubbing that counts!

and while clothes off is easier for the masseuse, many massages are done with clothes on to equal effect.

i wish i knew how to TEACH massage, since it is something i think everyone should experience and there will ALWAYS be people who can't stretch to the money. however despite years of training it is the actual experience of working on people that has really taught me how to - for me it is largely intuitive and i let my hands lead the way...

Thanks, I've thought of it but so many massage ads on Craiglist are just scam or just erotic (see, sexual) invites. Touch is something too personal to receive from any stranger with questionable motives. I would rather pay up and feel safe in the hands of a professional.

ALOT of them moonlight, they carry their own tables and charge you a fraction of what they have to charge professionally.

Word of mouth is the best way to find one of these.

Be careful with advertising on Craigslist:

Well that is the tricky part about advertising on craigslist. To make sure a massage is not misconstrued you can just easily write non-erotic and by appointment only. Also by NOT including pictures of yourself this further proves your point that you are not sex for hire. It's tough but it can be done. I'm considering it a bit...
