my child was running...hauling it at 9mths and the girl next door who is 5 weeks younger still could not roll over at 12 mths. of course, we did tummy time and gyminy time every 2 hours. She was in daycare. That may be the difference.

What beautiful babies (the pics finally loaded for me to view)

The eyes say it all. My son had expressive Scorpio eyes and I felt he knew more than we (at the time) gave babies credit for.

Babies do seem to be maturing at a faster rate than 20 years ago!

and kindergarten kids are all ready learning how to spell

as randall suggested, nurture means a lot. i was reading "Heidi" at 4, my daughter and grandson both were reading before they hit school...

my youngest grandson is not advanced in language, yet but he is an acrobat and a very funny comedian, and understands everything, just speaks his OWN language for now.

and as randall also pointed out indirectly, i suspect most kids have the genius trained OUT of them as they grow, so maybe these kids are more indicative of newly open-minded parenting, not special gifts that spring from nowhere?

My son, a Scorpio, could read by 4 yrs old. He loved Jaws My daughter, a Cancer, didn`t care for reading but could read well ahead of her kindergarten class mates.

I am an avid reader so the nuturing & (reading to them) helped them hugely. So yes, I agree their talents are being encouraged rather than squashed in todays world.
