Yeah, that oil has to be thoroughly mixed, or else disaster.

Recipe for
PEACE ON EARTH

The main ingredient is

LOVE

Use all you have, because there is always more where it came from. The other essential ingredient is

CREATIVITY

Make this by combining intelligence with
an open mind and faith in the underlying
goodness of the cosmos.

Please not: Don't let any fear get into the
mixture, because that will prevent if from
rising.

Season liberally with
PATIENCE and HUMOR.

Stir everything together with a graceful,
flowing motion. Bake in the oven of time.
And there you have it!

PEACE ON EARTH,

Mmmm-mmm!!

Makes enough to serve the whole world!

In the instant pot:

Olive or coconut oil
4 cups of broth
2 cups of water
1 chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 carrot
1 celery stalk (both chopped)
2 teaspoons turmeric
1 teaspoon ginger (or 1 tablespoon grated/chopped)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon (at least) of salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 tbsp dried parsley (or 1/4 cup fresh, chopped)
1/2 cup or less of orzo pasta

I think that's it.

Saute the onion in oil (I use olive oil). Add the carrot, celery, and garlic. Saute a few minutes more.

Add the spices, cook for another minute. Then add the broth, water, and orzo pasta. Put on the IP lid, hit the soup button. Then quick release or let it release naturally when finished, depending on your preference.

When that's cooked, take some of the broth from the IP, and mix it into 2 teaspoons of white miso, and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Once you have a paste, add it back. I sometimes sprinkle lime juice on top.

My favourite soup, for the past two-and-a-half years. It's kept me mostly healthy during that time, at least when it comes to things like a cold, or the flu. I try to make it once a week.
