Chai lattes are way tastier than herb teas.

^ So nice to see you posting again! I was worried.

On topic...

I drink so many herbal teas, some for medicinal reasons, others for taste, a few for taste and health combined. Here are some favorites~

Medicine: boneset (I've been drinking a quart a day), Jason Winters' Tea (cancer prevention/recovery)

Mainly just for taste: Tazo Passion (hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips & passion fruit flavors)

Taste + health: green tea, Dandelion "coffee," Chamomile & Lavender, Tazo Rest (has roses in it...yum!)

I love FRESH homemade chai with fresh herbs boiled in a pot, sometimes with raw milk, and with raw honey added afterwards. I tend to dislike chai in tea bags..it's weird, cuz I'm not that particular in general, just about chai.

Then again...chai is more about spices than herbs, so I guess that is irrelevant.

This is not herb but iced white tea is out of this world. Trust me, Padre

For myself, I've acquired a taste for unsweetened black tea and green teas.

Drink maybe a gallon, maybe more of them per day, but very dilluted 2 bags per gallon.

When I have the herb teas it is a bit like switching up wine or craft beer.

I make a blend:

Rosebuds
Spearmint
Hibiscus
Star Anise (just a touch)
Harvest mix (dried orange, clove, cinnamon
chips)
Sweet Woodruff
Linden

It's really nice in the evening. Sitting in the Book Nook with a nice pot of tea is soooo warming to the spirit. I look out the window and see all the crisp, cool leaves of Autumn and just feel very peaceful inside.

Sweet Woodruff is an herb that grows around May Day, it has a light scent of vanilla; because it contains coumarin, a blood thinner.

It's a nice one.

Oh yes. How wonderful is the pure essence and flavor of tea varieties.

But try this if you like plain teas and want to change it up a bit...
Instead of adding sweetener to your regular teas, try adding some flavor by steeping tea with a spoonful of dried lavender buds. You can buy French lavender at the tea shop or herb shop and add it to any tea that you steep. I even use it with Rooibos.

Speaking of teas...
Are we allowed to recommend brand names on this forum?
The organic Rishi loose tea is one of my favorite brands - their Jasmine Pearl green tea is wonderful, as is their Rooibos (from South Africa)

Sorry - I didn't realize this post was about Herb Teas. I just got so excited because I absolutely L O V E making loose tea.
---
There is a local Herb shop that makes their own blend of Digestive Tea but they do not list the ingredients. THey grow their own herbs and come up with several combinations that taste great. It takes a special talent to blend teas in a way that soothes the stomach and pleases the palate.

Happy May Eve!

As the epithet odoratum suggests, the plant is strongly scented, the sweet scent being derived from coumarin. This scent increases on wilting and then persists on drying, and the dried plant is used in pot-pourri and as a moth deterrent. It is also used, mainly in Germany, to flavour May wine.

I only drink hot teas for health not for pleasure. Too bad I don't love tea, since it's so good for me.

I drink ice tea for pleasure, especially AZ ice tea. Probably not that healthy for me, but I'd rather be an AZ ice tea drinker than a pop(soda) drinker.

When I'm sick or feeling under 100 percent I drink Elderberry or lavender tea. Elderberry smells yucky but can take the fever and flu right out of you! (and your s*x drive will sky rocket)
Lavender like the smell another good immune booster not as strong as elderberry though.

Also I am going to quit smoking soon. I bought Passionflower tea. It's said to help with withdrawals and combat depression a side effect that can happen with smoking withdrawals.
I bought Alvita brand that is organic. On the box it says "Traditionally used to help ease occasional nervous tension and support restful sleep."

Try green tea as well, it is quite powerful in terms of antioxidants to combat the effects of smoking. Even when you quit it takes time for the body to cycle out the bad stuff.

Blackberries are coming in season, after harvesting the berries for Blackberry wine, the leaves are also harvested to make teas that have a lot of positive health effects

Foenugreek and Fennel are really good Nursing Teas.

They improve Breast Health all around, but are especially good for abundant Milk Supply.

Sage will dry it up.

You may be messing with your Hormones.

I drank Raspberry Leaf Tea daily when I was Pregnant.
