What did you eat today?

I cooked Basmati rice, millet and quinoa together for 15 minutes, let it cool, then tossed it with dried cranberries, ground pecans, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt. Another experiment. It tasted good so I will make it again.

I made polenta pancakes and had cauliflower soup and asparagus. :-) Your dinner sounds really good!

Haven't eaten yet. Have to type a chapter review later, so I need something fast. Might have burgers.

Ha ha, just saw this.
Lucky me, I know before hand what will make me throw up so I can avoid it.

Well...did you?

Fun question...my diet's been very unique today...might as well document it!

Breakfast:

coffee
smoothie: homemade almond milk, Fuji apple, raw honey, frozen raspberries, ice
ETA: Forgot to mention the hemp seeds and goji berries

lunch: same smoothie as breakast

snack: about a pint of organic strawberries
snack #2: carrot juice

dinner: huge salad with lots of different vegetables; raw sauerkraut, flax oil and avocado for "dressing"; brazil nuts for "croutons"

Now I'm hungry...thinking of another smoothie...

What is raw sauerkraut, Faith? I don't think any sauerkraut is cooked.

Eta: Do you mean it was uncooked?

I feel like I'm about to have a food baby. Lol.

Yes

ETA: Also, some sauerkraut is made with vinegar; the kind I use is fermented just with salt.

Today I had an awesome salad with spinach, roasted almond, feta cheese, avocado and POMEGRANATE SEEDS! I would have never thought of this myself, but we had a big potluck and a friend made it. It was amazing, worked really well.

I had avocado mixed with the mayo I made. I put in about a fourth a bottle of Dave's Ghost pepper sauce. I was dying a few hours later but all in all, it was a good experience

Raw honey is unheated, unprocessed, unpasteurized honey. This is my favorite brand:

Actually, I don't like the flavor of any other honey, raw or commercial, besides this one. It's rather expensive, unfortunately.

Here's a good article on the health benefits:

http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/benefits-raw-organic-honey-9105.html

Essentially, it has antibacterial, immune-boosting, wound-healing, digestive and mood-enhancing properties. It is also my favorite remedy for burns.

I was out of lettuce today so I made a salad with mostly chick peas, plus carrots, celery, other veg. and flavored it with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dill weed, salt, pepper.
Also had fresh grapefruit, so juicy and sweet for desert. Finally, a chocolate truffle with double chocolate filling melting endlessly in my mouth. I'm still experiencing it hours later

red cabbage, with tahini, apple cider vinegar, nutritional yeast, and tamari. I had crumpets earlier, smothered in butter.

Turned out to be Dave's.

Man, those breads Are Killer. Dave's and Seeds both.

Don't even need cheese, really.

Is tahini sesame?

We used to have crumpets. In our little Tea Parties.

My Daughters and I.

I even bought some rings, so I could make my own, they were So Good.

Fresh, they are Excellent.
