Really good one! I love humility too. It is a virtue.

Only guys can be cocky.------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. On that date, a hand grenade fell in their midst, and another soldier, whom they didn't know and didn't know them, jumped on the grenade and gave his life so that they could live. He didn't hesitate. He gave his life, so that those four soldiers could have theirs. Every year, their families get together to honor this fallen hero, and they know that their families would have lost them if not for his unselfish act. They send money each year to help support his family. Soldiers, police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel...I admire them all. Heroes come in many forms.
Wow! That is such an amazing story. Do you have a photograph, by chance, of the brave soldier who did that? (If his family would be OK with sharing one?) If not, I understand. I just think that it would be cool to remember him here and have an idea of what he looked like. Thanks for sharing that with us! IP: Logged |

I tend to admire people with strong minds. I don't mean only right-brain capabilities, although they're part of what I admire as well. I admire those who are capable of using their minds to better their psychological make-up, to better their lives and improve their emotional well-being. I often think people's worst enemy is a weak mind and that is why I admire a strong mind that gives the ability to the person to live his/her life to its fullest. These people are an inspiration to anyone around them. Think of Wayne Dyer, Byron Katie, the Hicks, people of that sort. IP: Logged |
