No people don't have different grammar rules and it isn't subjective. It's plain wrong. That it is common usage doesn't make it any more correct. I mean as long as u know it is wrong but still do so because it is the norm then i guess it is fine. But u should know the correct way to write or speak if you ever need to address a non southerner.
