Teasel, before the 'net and TV and what have you, friends would gather around the hearth, or lamps, and each one would have 1 page of a book to read to the rest of the group. One would get to act out the characters on the pages amongst friends.

Yin, I was working on the streets of DC as a canvasser. I was giving the pitch to a man who ended up telling me he was an English professor. We talked about books...He ended up sponsoring a child. About a half hour later he comes back with a book he bought for me across the street. The Master and Margarita. I love how I got the book and I love the book.
