Just because, there was something so eerily(werewolf/full moon emotional) about that thread made for "me" lol.

So moving on, tell us, what is happening with the adventures of JuniperB today?

that and i like that your name has something to do with gin, and i have no idea where that last sentence came from, or why i had this strong urge to share it....

I hoed all day

Seriously, I did. My veggie vines have grown all over and I can`t get the rototiller in there anymore.

That weird moon was in Aquarius and I keenly felt it. Almost electrical and ethereal at the same time.
In one way or another, it appeared to have a strong effect on most everyone

I am most likely to be the most boring knowflake here.

What did you do today?

A boring Aquarius? First you folk aren't as original as they say (ie. usernames aquaguy91, aquagirl92, aquaman79) and now you're boring!? I feel gipped!

Also random but I always said ur username as "ju-ni-perb" as though the B isn't pronounced on its own.

Are you talking of the thread I made? Cause if you think it's funny that makes me sad.
I was being genuine in what I was telling you. And if that's the case I definitely don't need to be ridiculed for things ... that I felt I could share

OH! thank the lord those "creatures" allow us in their space. Josie, my siamese, is my closest & oldest confidant.

Last night she gave me an ear full about minding my own business.

I rarely argue with her but this time I held my ground with her. I do tend to my own knitting and how dare she say otherwise ( I suspect her bossyness was too much catnip, shhh lets not get that rumor started).

As it turns out, seems a day of solitary hoeing isn`t a safe place from drama.

She told me the corn has ears and the potatoes have eyes . Together with the spinach stalking you, I know every thought & deed out there .

Now with the gossipy grapevine, all will soon soon know you squash bugs, murder bindweed and chop the heck outta snakes and toss them in the woods. Concensus will be you are evil, bound for hell and a heathen to boot.

If you stayed inside and read a book none of this gossip would have started. Shames on you juni.

Nows where`s the cat chow & some more nip??

LOL, interesting 'bosses' or 'slave masters' as i like calling them, you've got there!(does she know you are under the illusion that you are boss in any minute of the day, even whilst doing her favorite activity of watching you knit? )

i've named both my cats after 'world leaders' just to keep it as a note to myself to remind me 'whose boss' when i forget...

The persian is actually quite loving, he does nothing but eat, sleep, and demand i spend any spare minute i have petting him or cuddling him, even better carrying him around (u know like Cleopatra had all her slaves carry her around on that bed on poles....no idea bout the name)as that is what a boy princess likes apparently.

the tabby on the other hand is quite viscous!! he's got an attitude problem, and has even learnt how to 'meow' something so close to my name in case am 'not getting it' last week i tried cutting his nails myself and he clawed my chin....ppl i'd then meet would be concerned asking me what happened to my face and when i go "my cat..." before i even finish they'd be ROTFL ....how to abuse ppl and get away with it...NEEEY how to make ppl think it's even actually cute: be a cat!

WOW about your garden, ever since i was told to step away from gardening, as i'd just kill the plants (true, probably if the past is any indication, it's because i'll leave it half way through) am bemused by people who do garden and even grow things, like edible things!!

do you grow zucchinis to? once tasted this amazing bread spread, that i think was made from fried zucchinis, carrot, sweet potatoes i think...and god knows what else, and put on toasted bread like jam.....just the perfect snack/meal depending on one's tastes!!

ok that's my life story this week! Reading a book is great Juni!! it's how i spend my best minutes to, if i find a quite place to do so

I`d be a lost soul without my fur faces. All of them.

I am currently reading In the Shadow of the Ladder (intros to the Kabbalah) by Rabbi Yehudah Lev Ashlag. Awesome !

I actually have a new recipe for zucchini I`m trying this week !

Heard about that one but didn't read it, how is it.
However i did read "A Tapestry for the Soul" by same guy and really loved it big time!

Me not reading anything special this week. But so many friends dealing with a parents death since a few weeks ago, so i picked up "The Courage to Grieve" by Judy Tatelbaum, and eh, just feeling meh about it, not really sure about it. Most ppl who are dealing with death, will not have the mindset to read it, and most people who already went through that....well will be feeling HMmmmm about it as i just said lol, because the truth is no book helps in that.

Am a big Eckhart Tolle fan though (as you can see already) and am just going to start "resist nothing" today or 2moro.

BTW what is this new recipe you are trying?

PS(how many furry friends do u actually have lol?)

The recipe. Do you eat meat? I have to be carefull to not suggest meat to a vegan.

Do you really really want me to go to the barn and start counting

Our forever family has 3 feline mistress`s and 3 canine buddys..

We foster four leggeds so I say forever family rather than all who may live here at the time.

Yes, here it is lol.

Cut zuchinni lengthwise and gut each half.

Make a meatloaf kind of mixture w/ground turkey or beef. Difference is use Italian seasonings to your taste instead of standard meatloaf. Be creative.

I use a handful of the guts ,chopped tomatos, onion, crackers, egg, green peppers,s&p, basil, oregeno, basil, marjoram, , rosemary and thyme.
Mound mixture of meat in the zuchinni boats. Cover with marinara or spaghetti sauce and bake..

Smother in cheese & bake to melt.

Really a nice frugal dish and yummy. It helps choke down those last darn zuchinni`s hanging in the garden

mmmmmmmmm, drooling already. I will do that 2moro!! i was thinking i am really craving zucchini's and meat 2gether for some reason 2day, so glad you posted this!!

when it comes to seasoning i usually put everything but the kitchen sink and never regretted it

okay quick recipe for you to, even though you didn't ask for it lol

-pound some chicken breasts so that they are really lean, then spice them up with white and black pepper, some ground cumin, and a teeny tiny bit of Tumeric. Fry, but not so well.

-before that however boil some pasta, (gemelli works real well with this, but use anything u have)

-last make some white sauce...

now layer in a those pans that you can put in the oven first some chicken, then some pasta then some white sauce, then do this again....now last thing sprinkle some grated cheddar cheese above this all

then put it in the oven until the cheese has turned to that nice golden red brown colour...take out eat, and enjoy

OOOhh, sounds yummy. I love chicken.
I wonder how instead of standard pasta, my spaghetti squash would work. It really picks up the flavor of any sauce/spice.
I always prefer a white or alfredo sauce to red. I`m not sure I have Tumeric as I don`t recall ever using it....

Spaghetti squash sounds brilliant!! Tumeric, don't laugh, but i first picked it up when i started reading a bit too much into the evil eye and astral attacks.

Heard that drinking it with milk every morning well help your 'energetic' field and help protect from these things. Even better according to ayruvedic practice, a bit of tumeric in warm milk, is good to soothe an upset stomach. you need to taste it to believe it is actually a 'warm' taste, if you're wondering, "spice with milk?!".

But yip i tried it on chicken and gave a yummy taste to it, (only a little though, unless u want everything to be coloured yellow).

Ordered some ground meat from this butcher i trust over here, will pick it up 2moro and tell u how my try of your recipe goes...but i'm already smelling it the meat the spices, the creamy yet green smell of the zucchini, and topped with that crips wholesome cheese flavour... drooling over it.....i think i found out what i'll be eating for the next few weeks lol.

Thanks again for sharing!

Ah! that yellow stuff I`m a basic spice user but I have heard about it`s health benefits. Not sure if I will buy and use it tho. Probably go with garlic..
Does cumin & garlic go well together? I`ve only used my cumin in canning pickles.

I have an abundance of squash and am trying to be inventive ! I don`t like it alone but in a mixed dish it is yummy.

I`m looking for different ways to use my abundance of plums. Any good recipes?

LOL you can never go wrong with garlic in my world! so yes dump that garlic in to!!

and for plums actually yes i do have a recipe.

you know this is one of my favorite fruits, so if i was near you, you'd think a plague had visited your garden if i was invited to 'sample' anything...as this is my favorite way to eat them

but back to subject i have a great chicken with plum sauce recipe, i will go look for it as it's hand written somewhere, i think i used to put a lot of ginger with the chicken for that one. You will just put it in your mouth, and you know how we usually swallow without thinking, with this one you'll understand what it means to savor the taste....because the sauce is way much more than the fireworks of this dish...it's like the 'spiritual' firework of the dish. I think it was a Thai recipe or something,so i'll go find it, if not now in the next few days, as that is how long it usually takes me when i remember i need to find something fast lol

hmmm as i now seem to be working my way into getting invited to your garden if i ever make it back to the Americas even if just for a visit...did you ever try planting alpine strawberries??? you won't know why i'm asking unless you tried it: tart, flavorful and the magic of Europe in tiny but fully packing the punch taste bites!

How was the world of JuniperB this week thought away from the garden? going through some older post, and goodness your patient, or have the patience of a saint

I used to have plum trees in the yard (and pecans as well). Once they plums fall, they are so perfectly ripe! You can't buy them that ripe in a store.

That's perfect Randall!

my ideal house would have plums, and blackberries....and alpine strawberries....growing ear it, i don't think we'd ever need to go shopping for food, but rarely with these things growing next to us.

I know because one of the family houses from one of my mums countries used to have all that next to it, and don't ever remember being hungry when there lol

Wind fall plums are the best. We have 2 flavors, the purple and the black ( deep purple actually)

Anyhow, if I`m not quick my diabetic dog runs for the wind fall and gobbles up all he can before he is busted. What a sugar spike and head ache for both of us.

I always can or blanch and freeze them. This year I want some fresh ideas for fresh plums.

After all, my freezer and fruit celler is only so big and there is still grapes, apples and berries to go.

lol i think your doggies is 'channeling' me when he does that!
i totally understand where he is coming from hehehe

Away from that got all what is needed for the recipe you shared...then when home, the two specimens i have of the species Felis Catus, decided to remind me that it is their agenda not mine that goes on around here...but hopefully 2moro.

and still didn't find that recipe for you with plums for chicken...but for now, try and find a human or humans with the same appetite as your doggie, and they will help you finish all those plums before you know it ...as they are, that is the best way to eat them
what did you do today?

Got the message that you "sent your love"....

hope you got the message back that send you my love too.

Would be more meaningful if you said it out loud, in front of everyone....

but perhaps that would make you some enemies....

I don't know.

I still love and respect you alot juni. And appreciate the message sent.

I understand if you didnt want to say it in front of too many people, or email it to me yourself.....it might make you some enemies or cause you some trouble...
