Please drop a note here. The typhoon that hit the Phillipines wrecked destruction far and wide . quote: At least 138 people were confirmed dead in the aftermath of the typhoon. But Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Gwen Pang said that agency field staff in the region estimated the toll was about 1,000. Pang, however, emphasized that it was “just an estimate.” Earlier, Capt. John Andrews, deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority, said he had received “reliable information” by radio from his staff that more than 100 bodies were lying in the streets of the city of Tacloban on hardest-hit Leyte Island. It was one of six islands that Typhoon Haiyan slammed into Friday.

I haven't heard from Sand personally but I'm pretty sure he's okay. The region where he lives was spared from the typhoon. The most affected was the central part of the Phils, esp the eastern Visayas islands.IP: Logged |

Thank you Juni. There were strong winds where I live, a few toppled and uprooted trees, some flooding and flying debris but thankfully, it's not that bad here as compared to the other areas. My mom's hometown in Western Visayas is also in a state of calamity. IP: Logged |

Hi,I've been in contact with Sand, he's doing fine. The area where he lives suffered minimal effects during the typhoon. He asked me to post his chat link. I hope it's ok to so here: Edited by Randall.
