Faith, the deeper reason I was reminded of Don Quixote today might be that I dreamed of "my" Man of La Mancha last night. Hadn`t happened for a long time. Funny I just realize that it is 20 years ago this year that i had seen the musical for the first time. And yesterday 8 years ago I first layed eyes on Mr Sag. Is uppose a lot of mixing up happening in my brain. BUT even before that i remember when I was going away for a few days with my class in elementary school, being 9 years old, my Mom was giving me a book as a goodbye present, and it was Don Quixote. I loved that book so much, though it also made me sad back then. And of course I was terribly homesick. lol
Doesn`t even have anyhting to do with this thread here, but so many threads to Don Quixote for me, it is difficult to unravel them all. But yes, I admire you for your courage and will to not give up. Though sometimes I think it may be to your emotional detriment and I wonder if it will be worth it in the end. It is a fine line to walk. How much are we prepared to sacrifice to keep our dream alive? (well most of what I write here is probably more addressed to myself than to you, I know it gets confusing, so I better stop and keep my Mars-Neptune in check. lol)

Bella, it's gone off the rails at this point. Sorry. Not even going for a third try. You can if you want to. eta-this has nothing to do with anyone here! IP: Logged |

*puts woofers back in the closet* j/k...I think I know what you mean. But honestly! There has been some conceit involved because I did remember our Mercuries are close and when I like what you say, me and my big Leo rising ego are like "YUP. That's my Aqua Mercury right there...tellin it like a boss." Oops, volume too loud maybe....turning it down. Anyway, thanks for making this possible, it's a very encouraging surprise at a very good time. IP: Logged |

Thanks. I guess tenacity...can look really good or really foolish...at different times. Well, you know the expression "Life is a journey, not a destination"? It applies here, too....all things can have a higher purpose, even if we only get in retrospect... quote: Originally posted by Ceridwen: How much are we prepared to sacrifice to keep our dream alive?
It's something that I try to keep on my mind...dreams can be really "expensive" emotionally and across the board...so for all my high points, there were probably matching low points and a lot of "Is this worth it?" Yin and yang I guess. Also, 'didn't mean to gloss over your dream story. (I was just in a chatty mood this morning and started yapping with the first thing that came to my mind. Tr Sun is conjunct my Mars and my mouth is running on autopilot more than usual. ) Anyway...I once had a long discussion with a good friend of mine, where I was wondering if we have some kind of internal clock that tracks meanings. (?) And compels us towards things at certain times? This was before I was into astrology...Pretty sure that conversation was inspired by my having a vivid dream on the anniversary of something else happening, and only realizing the significance later. It's actually very fascinating to me...always glad to hear that you've had similar experiences. IP: Logged |

Thanks to you as well, it takes two. I was noticing transit venus sq our Mercs last week, sort of curious about that, last time it was squaring mine from Scorp I attended a creative writing workshop, for the first time. Sharing my writing in public is a bigger fear for me than public speaking, so I went in not sure how i would be received, but pleasantly met some awesome women who were very talented and we all were receptive to what the others had to share. That was a nice surprise. Now, on to Mars squaring our Mercs from Scorp ill prob be so busy I won't even be on here hardly. Jupiter in Leo will be simultaneously opposing our Mercs, last time that happened to me I was seriously overloaded with a ton of new information that I had to get a quick handle on, just seriously overwhelmed. I don't even have anything in the works yet for early August...but...I'm hoping for the best. Anyway l,s,s with the potential for stubborn arguments there i may not even be on, :/ No really this is like a public service announcement for early August, Merc conj Jupiter in early Leo, square Mars in early Scorp. I've only had Jupiter opposing my Merc once, and that had me spinning,..then again I have Merc ruling the 3rd,,I don't know what it rules in yours.IP: Logged |

I never would have guessed that you are afraid to share your writing in public. You write well! Is that an ASC/Mercury opposition thing? Or a Pisces sensitivity thing maybe.Using the birth time my sister swears by, which matches the birth stories I've been told, yes, Mercury rules my 3H. And using that birth time, the Leo moon was transiting my first house when we reconciled...maybe it was in your first house, too? Pretty sure we are finished whatever contention we had, the arguing took on a life of its own and now it's dead. I have no interest in reviving it. I am much more curious to see how we can get along. Thanks for telling us about upcoming transits. Last time Jupiter opposed my Mercury, I was pregnant with my daughter. I did get overwhelmed with all the medical tests and remember one day being like, "I quit, I just totally quit, I can't do this!" Which is so not like me, my husband bought me a massage (which is so not like him) to get me up from rock bottom. Worse comes to worst, maybe I will have a mental breakdown, and earn some more massages then. LOL All the best IP: Logged |

Umm well my bast@rd Saturn in the 3rd plus a smattering of Moon /Venus sensitivity square the MC of putting yourself out there. And yup Leo takes up all of first so chances are good....I think the moon through the first is good for putting yourself out there...people with moon in the first always seem to have their emotional realities as one of their top priorities, like to the exclusion of others emotional realities haha. Anyway. Thanks for chiming in on the Jupiter opp....I was thinking of making a thread for that. Do you have anything big coming up? I do have one thing coming up early August but it's nothing that's on the scale of what I went through last time so that's why I'm not counting it. Yeah a massage is so simple but so therapeutic. That's imo one of the best gifts. And lol about earning massages. O well, if things go haywire you can always look forward to jupiter crossing your asc. That's almost always a good time, freedom and all that, supposed to be a new lease on life. plus uranus trine the asc but i dont know your degree, that might've already passed. Me, I have uranus trine asc behind me and by the time jupiter opps the merc it'll have already crossed the asc. Last time jup crosse my asc it retrograded over it, that was a huge new freedom for me, but over a period of months, slow process. This time one pass and it's done so im guessing nothing that major, but i dunno, i have other things around the same time that also indicate a new orientation, like node sq node (cue quesy stomach). i was researching bowe bergdahl, maybe misspelled, the one who was just traded in, back to the u,s, node sq node wayyy close in orb when be was first 'taken', yikes talk about a new orientation. But no matter what, you have good things to look forward to. depending on degree you might even get them both acting on your asc within orb at the same time. That would be /huge/ that's like a prison break. But independent of each other they may each be reflecting different things, at different times. IP: Logged |

Hmm, so much to say!Moon/Venus square MC and 3H Saturn...K, now I get it a little better. For me, if I'm erasing my posts, it's probably the Saturn-Mercury opposition, and they both probably square my MC, too. What sucks is that it usually takes Saturn a while to study what Mercury did and then crack down on it. I'll say something and like ten hours later I'll realize it was too eccentric/inappropriate/going to get me ostracized or whatever the case may be. I'm not as well-attuned to transits as you are, not very clear in my mind about the energies at play. I do see a lot of things in retrospect but usually it's harder for me to track everything in the moment. A few weeks ago I felt phenomenally healthy and happy one day and then realized the sun was transiting my Ceres. Then as the sun separated from Ceres, that buoyant feeling just left me bit by bit. Reminded me of this Violent Femmes song: Good feeling, won't you stay with me just a little longer? Generally speaking though...and pardon me if this is too obvious...my life has always felt like constant tension, like always being in some kind of crisis mode. I have a t-square in each modality, if you allow 6 degrees orb. So the transiting cardinal grand cross was hitting my natal grand cross but I never even felt much different. Chiron sneaking up on my hypersensitive Pisces moon feels like more of the same. I was euphoric for a while after giving birth to my daughter, when Jupiter crossed over my ASC and was in my first house. That is true. But if I try and rectify my chart to make her Jupiter right on my ASC...nah, that doesn't work...Venus falls into my 4th house then and trust me, my kids are better looking than my home. 5H Venus makes more sense. Nodes square nodes...K, I'll try and keep that in mind, and best wishes enduring it! I tend to feel like cr*p when the sun is transiting square my nodes. Reliably I fall into this dark emotional pit for a day or two...so that's another transit I am actually aware of and sensitive to. Fiddling around with charts again at astro.com, just to get an estimate, it looks our 7H Aqua composite moon opposes 1H Leo Mars, in a t-square with 4H Scorpio Uranus. And in this approximate chart Chiron is right on the MC. So...we've played that out! And it's not our fault we clashed, "we" were born that way. And on June 5, tr Venus was conjunct composite Chiron, trine composite Venus. Progressed composite looks like Pisces sun on or near the DSC in the 7H, conjunct my moon (4 orb) and tr Chiron. Pr comp Venus at 5 Aqua trine 4 Gem moon, near the 8 Gem MC (?). We have another touchy t-square of Mercury-Uranus-Mars, but tr Saturn is plunked down on that apex Uranus at the moment, settling things down maybe. And that happens to be conjunct my natal NN @ 20 Scorpio. Well me and my yappity yap Gemini Mars apologize for talking too much, I was just curious about these charts and wanted to get some idea of what was going on...hope it didn't bore you. Have a nice day Ditto to anyone reading, hope you are enjoying life. IP: Logged |
