Turning my back on religion goes even deeper than that experience.
There are many reasons;
one being logical rational reason on top of my personal experiences including more abuses done and or witnessed; especially when I was a child;
in the name of god/Jesus and so forth.
Like being brutally punished for asking questions after reading, yes reading, not just skimming and cherry picking the bible as 99% or more who believe do.
The horrors and contradictions freaked me out as a child and as an adult still make me shudder in disgust.
Yes, Christian belief does indeed mean a child who is raped and gets pregnant, is supposed to carry the pregnancy to term.
Well it is actually worse when one reads the exact "rules".
I should have been stoned to death or burned alive according to Abrahamic/biblical law.
The bible is based on the same extremist ancient laws as Islam is;
and includes punishing and or executing the "FEMALE" rape victim and not punishing and or actually rewarding the rapist.
So yeah; on that thread "When does human life begin?";
I could not help but become sickened and disgusted and horrified at what was implied or actually said.
Such thought/belief is right up there with extremist Islam and child brides, even though most Christians are not so extreme;
but the base belief is potentially dangerous and heartless when it comes to rape victims, especially children.
I mean seriously....
how can anyone actually believe a 9 year old rape victim should carry a pregnancy to term or else be called a murderer if they abort the result of the rape?

Ami was told PUBLICLY by Randall not to get her last word in and close a thread. Things like that make you unworthy of being a mod.
So fix it...
And an apology for doing so isn't such a bad idea, or unreasonable.
We don't have to share opinions but at least be professional and set an example.
I see it as your duty if you're going to be a mod.
You have to be able to set your personal feelings aside and just do the mod thing... Not be an @$$. IP: Logged |

Lex I meant respect me as a person. Instead of judging me and slaughtering me like cattle because of my own opinion or beliefs. I'm really disappointed that this stuff is never able to be dropped. It's constantly continued. This is why these discussion never end well, people can't talk like adults. I shouldn't have to explain myself if you aren't even gonna respect me enough to listen. Support of rapists and pedophiles deserves absolutely no respect sir.
Your heartless attitude and demanding an apology from me for not believing children who are raped should carry the pregnancy to term is beyond disgusting and as a human being I must speak out against such atrocities!
Yes I am a mid but morally I cannot defend or respect such thinking.
Closing this thread not because you told me to but because I am tired, sick and just do not have the energy to keep arguing with fanatics who defend rapists and not the victims.
