I was just sharing my thoughts on emotions and critical thinking with ya. There were some misunderstanding between you and me, and I just wanted to clarify why I think the things I do because I think it could be helpful to others. Plus, I like hearing what other people think, and I was interested in your thoughts. Eventually, I decided to erase what I wrote because I didn't want it seeming as if I were unnecessarily carrying on with our friendly discussion. Honestly, I've just been feeling overwhelmed with how nasty things have been getting here on LL. It's so unnecessary, you know! I really wasn't even defending the OP. I was trying to extinguish the fire, and prevent future conflict. Lol. Unrealistic much?! Lol. Hey - what else shall we expect from someone who calls herself ReachingForTheStars!!! Lol

Just so you know, I don't think you're a bad person for thinking the way you do. My perception of you through your posts and pics are of a spirited, fun, lighthearted, twirly, bubbly... You get it!!! Personally, *I* didn't see your post as offensive, but based on how the thread was going, I think we both anticipated or seen the potential for for a negative response, and I just wanted it to stop!! Eek! Lol.

People should be able to speak their mind and say what needs to be said, but I believe that with that comes responsibility. You have your views, and I will respect that.

Why I said that:

The latter of what I said had absolutely nothing to do with you personally. I wasn't accusing you of being emotional or unreasonable. I'm just under the impression that we are all to some extent influenced by emotions, and it's only a bad thing when it's dealt with ineffectively. Otherwise, I think integrating emotions into the thought process is a rare, but invaluable quality.

Like I said, well you or I may not have taken your message personally, good communication takes into account the audience and how the message may be decoded. We both seen the potential for harm, and it was indeed taken personally. Not that we can always encode a message perfectly, but we can all be more mindful.
