My husband's Mars/Venus conj are very close to his Asc (26/27d Aries and 1d Taurus) and seem pretty 12th House.
What affect does their being in a different sign have? ------------------

Not sure but I just go by the 10 degree rule, but as you know, it is just a choosing of degrees, with which some people would disagree.------------------

If you have Mars in the 12th, you will have repressed anger. Anything in the 12th is repressed.------------------

My Pluto in the 12th house is conjunct my ascendant in Libra...a strange contradiction for someone with a Uranus influence on her Sun in the 1st house, and a strong Virgo 11th house focus with Jupiter conjunct my North Node (early degrees, tight orb) and Saturn (not conjunct) there as well. I've always though of my pluto in the 12th as a painful curse, but I'm a little unsure of the response that's created in the conjunction of my ascendent. Often I read Pluto in the 12th as a sign of secret abuse as a child, though not any specific type of abuse. IP: Logged |

Hey I have moon at 0 degrees, Cheiron at 1 degree (almost aspecting everything) and Jupiter at 29 degrees in Taurus in the 12th house. Also my south node is there and rather a lot of asteroids, like Lilith conjunct moon & Circe. The actual cusp of the house is Aries.
Been reading a lot about the 12th house. What rings truth for me is being in tune with the subconscious and it being easy for me to read between the lines. It's like I can look through the 'masks' people wear and see what's beneath that if that makes any sense at all. Most surprising info I read so far is that many in Cheiron in the 12th house work with dreams and guided visualisation. That is exactly what I do next to my 'mundane' work I often read that moon in the 12th stands for a difficult relationship with the mother. That was absolutely not the case for me, quite the opposite really. Main influence in my upbringing came from her. But perhaps this is related to my Lilith conjunct moon? *edited some out, 12th house likes to be secretive ;-) * Also I am intrigued by the (by society perceived as) 'outcasts' and 'underdogs'. I actually always take that in account with my work & recently I have started working (on a voluntary base) with homeless people. Lovely thread and I really enjoy reading all of your experiences

I have Jupiter in Leo in my 12th. I have NO IDEA what that means because I don't feel secretive to begin with (and Jupiter expands/amplifies right?).However, the 12H cusp is Cancer so that would be the house ruler correct? IP: Logged |

Hi all, interesting discussion of the 12th house. I have my natal Sun in the 12th, in Cancer. I have a close Mercury/Venus conjunction in Leo in the 12th, close to my ascendant (Merc/venus are 5 and 6 degrees, ascendant at 8 degrees Leo). I don't think I agree that in my case at least one could interpret them in the 1st house. Venus is ruler of my 10th house (Taurus) and 3rd (Libra). Mercury is ruler of my 2nd (Virgo) and 11th. I would definitely say those areas of my life have been repressed. Maybe if I got into a more 12th house-y kind of job it would be better. All in all, though, I would be perfectly happy to be a hermit. Doesn't pay too well and I have a cat to support, so...*sigh* IP: Logged |

Jupiter in the 12th is the guardian angel aspect. These people usually have many near miss accidents and things and survive as if by a miracle. Have you? ------------------

This does not tell me too much. Are you pretty new to AStrology?
The trine is when 2 planets really work well together such that there is an easy flow of energy like how you talk to her best friend. The square would be like talking to someone with whom you have a strained relationship the trine is between the same element like Gemini and aquarius and Libra. These are all air. Basically, the 2 planets flow together for an easy expression for you. Hope that helps, Friend

I have 5 planets in the 12th house, Mercury and Saturn in Pisces, and Sun, Moon and Venus in Aquarius. All of these planets square Pluto. Also, Sun,Moon and Venus make a stellium in the 12th house, in Aquarius.I don't think I can fully explain how each planet in the 12th house functions in my life though. IP: Logged |

WOW Do any of them come within 10 degrees of the ASC. if so, I don't count them as 12th house but as 1st house.
