This is something I put together that is helpful for quickly seeing if a certain dynamic has prominence in your chart. The more correspondences that you possess the stronger that dynamic will be.How to use: 1. Locate your positions for any placement in which you are interested, for example Sun in Scorpio.
2. Check out the affinities for that section. One of them listed is Sun in aspect to Pluto, that would double the influence that Sun/Pluto has in your chart. Is your Pluto also in Leo? That is triple influence by a mutual reception which strengthens the energy. So now if you see someone else with a Scorpio Sun in your life and they're not as Scorpified as you are on the Solar level, now you will know why. Also you can look up by house placement, for h5 placements look at the Sun column. This is also useful for synastry: you have Sun in Aries and the other person has Mars in aspect to the Sun, that is a point of compatibility since you each recognize yourselves in the other. The left column will be the more obvious affinity, the column on the right will be the mutual receptions (a very good thing) by sign and by house. The lines that are completely bold show direct correspondences because that is as much affinity as can be granted since the energy is emphasized, for example Sun in Leo can only correspond to Sun in the 5th since only the Solar dynamic is involved.  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quick question:So I have this aspect: Mercury in the 6th, which would also correspnd to Mercury in Gemini. But I have a Sagittarius Mercury (opposite of Gemini), and my Mercury is in a hard aspect (square) with Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius in the 3rd. Does this amplify the negative effects of Mercury square Jupiter? IP: Logged |

I think since both are amplified you have a very facile mind and the challenge is picking what you'll apply yourself to. Mercury in the 6th is the 4th factor for Mercury in Gemini, so it's the least strongest affinity. 6th is the details, if you can get into it there then that should help. It's all about applying the right type of scheduling FOR YOU in your life. Not what you think it should be or what works for others, based on your needs and what you're working towards at any given time. That means it's open to change based on that, which should sound like a positive to you.IP: Logged |

When you find the equivalent to (for example) Venus in 11th though (which is Uranus in the 5th). Do the other similarities apply to it too, or are you only supposed to apply house placements to house placements? Hope that makes sense. IP: Logged |

Venus 11th is the Aquarius Venus principle,
Venus in Aquarius
Venus aspect Uranus ...... Uranus in Tau/Lib
Venus in 11th ................ Uranus in 2nd or 7th Uranus 5th is the Aquarius Sun principle,
Sun in Aquarius
Sun aspect Uranus ........ Uranus in Leo
Sun in 11th ................... Uranus in 5th so they're separate for this purpose. For example,
Mars in Leo combines Aries/Mars + Sun/Leo
So if you do a search for it on this page it'll be under Mars in Leo itself but also Sun in Aries. If you're just trying to search and find browsing through the list to be confusing you can use the search function on your browser:

I have to look at the chart again,
-Venus 11th
-Uranus 7th
That's 2 factors for Venus/Aquarius ~ or looked at more broadly the Venus/Uranus principle. This is just in general. The more you have the greater it stands out.This is just theory it may not work for you, keep that in mind. Mine works for me, some examples,
venus cap, saturn libra, venus aspect saturn
sun pisces, sun aspect neptune, neptune 5th But by this definition I have no affinity for Libra Suns,
Sun in Libra
Sun aspect Venus ...... Venus in Leo

Another question:So in synastry, let's say that a couple has bad synastry but they have a LOT of affinities like say the guy has a Capricorn sun in the 8th and the girl has her Sun in Scorpio. Does that make the synastry harmonious? IP: Logged |

That's a strong affinity.
It can help them to more easily see where the other person is coming from, and that can help when problems arise.
You can also do something like,
Your Sun in 5th/leo, Moon in 2nd/taurus/asepct venus
Their Moon in 5th/Leo, Sun in 2nd/taurus/asepct venus
de-facto sun/moon conjunction. Not -exactly- like a Sun/Moon conjunction, but the energies mesh on that level.
Or say for me, my Sun aspects all the outer planets. I have tended to attract/be attracted to men whose Sun and/or Moon do the same. To me they're easier to relate to since they see things from a similar perspective.IP: Logged |

Or say for me, my Sun aspects all the outer planets. I have tended to attract/be attracted to men whose Sun and/or Moon do the same. To me they're easier to relate to since they see things from a similar perspective.
