I've just heard about Descendants, I however have no idea what they're all about. Do they even affect us?

My ascendant is Leo, so my descendant would be in Aquarius. I'm not sure how my descendant would play a role in me, so can anyone enlighten me?

My understanding is...the Descendant is the cusp of the 7th house which is the house of "Partnership." So, sort of the opposite of "self." Anyways, it has a lot to do with the gist of the kind of person you could be interested in...not that you're into that sign specifically. Like, my rising is Libra / my descendant is in Aries. I like firey/passionate signs...
