Mmh, I am too much of a romantic, but I always think if there is no real spark, not even in the beginning, it will not come later on.

It depends what one wants though. My friend is happily married to her best friend. I wouldn`t say there are no sparks, but no passionately-in-love-feeling, but high compatibility and belonging and warmth and loyalty and respect for each other.
